Steak frites pretty whatever, salad was meh
    Pablo B.

Overpriced, blasé, banal, been-there-done-that steakhouse with a so-so bar offering. Heard they had lots of boilermaker options, they don't. Truly, do not expect your money to go very far here.

This is my go to spot for a cocktail and a snack before going out. I love the decor and the ambiance of this place, the location is also perfect right in the middle of downtown. Close to a ton of restaurants and attractions. I would highly recommend checking out.

Pretty good place for happy hour. They had 1$ oysters which is a steal. The fries and drink were good as well. It was a pretty cute place with nice interior.

I came here alone for Thanksgiving - and I don't know if it was because I was alone, but the staff were so sweet and attentive and very kind. The drinks were 10/10 I got a pickle drink then another whiskey forward drink, which the proceeds went to charity - which is just such a classy move by the restaurant, This place was also extremely queer friendly - which is probably why it felt so warm and inviting. My first time to Portland and my first time to this restaurant. As a table of one for the holidays, the staff made sure I didn't feel alone.

Absolutely phenomenal atmosphere and cocktails. Staff was incredible and attentive. Really appreciated the space and the level of service received.

I'm a big fan of steak frites and these were very good. Apparently Bullard Tavern is even better for dinner too. The whole staff at the Woodlark is very kind and helpful. We try to at least visit at some point when we're downtown. A cool chic place with a lot of different options.

Stayed at the adjacent hotel for business. Stopped here for lunch. It is nice and bright with the natural light coming in from the windows yet had the warm ambiance you'd expect and want from a tavern like this. The staff was friendly and helpful. Food was great. Martini was small.

Visited Bullard Tavern again after a several year gap. The dinner we had was so delicious, I'm still thinking about it! This time we sat in the dining area with a view of the kitchen, which for a foodie like me is always fun. The action and fast pace in which they work to create so many incredible dishes is amazing. We started with cocktails and shared a roasted beet salad that was served over peppery arugula, to balance the sweetness of the beets, with whipped goat cheese, candied cashews (a deviation for the more common candied pecans) and Cara Cara seeds. the maple bourbon vinaigrette fought it all together - crisp, sweet, savory with texture - the perfect salad. Along with a bottle of red, we each enjoyed our own main dish. My friend had the salmon and absolutely loved it. Craving meat, I ordered the pork chop when my first choice, the steak, was sold out. No worries, it ended up being the right choice! Cooked to perfection, the smoke added a distinct flavor element without overpowering. The sides of roasted potatoes and asparagus, the perfect accompaniment. For desert, we opted for espresso martinis to cap off a perfect meal. Ambiance is dark and cozy with plenty of bar seats if that's your thing. I had completely forgotten about Bullard so I was thrilled when my friend suggested it. They are definitely back in my rotation when I want a nice dinner out.

Great location in The Pearl District of Portland! The appetizers and meals are fresh & delectable! Delicious, unique cocktails are offered! Very clean place that has attentive employees!

Had a quick impromptu dinner here but this place is great! Had oysters a salad French fries and a squash dish. Everything beside the squash dish were really good! Great wine! Great cocktails. Our server was really nice and relaxed and I had a great experience. However idk if it was my taste buds or if it's an acquired taste but the squash appetizer was not good. But everything else was stellar!

Oysters brought us to this place and were on point--they were so good that I didn't even get a chance to take a picture. Frankly, everything we ordered was delicious and the carrots stole the show. It had a nice glaze with a little heat and I appreciated the pairing with pumpkin seeds to provide the crunch that you don't get in the same way from the cooked carrot. Its located in the bottom floor of a hotel but had it own unique vibe and ambiance. I also appreciated the host holding onto my luggage since I was going to the airport after dinner. I'm definitely coming back and recommend you check it out!

My group of 12 friends and I had a reservation at this restaurant at 8:00 pm. It is part of the Woodlark Hotel located in downtown Portland. The ambiance of the restaurant is very warm and service is very good. There is a substantially sized bar right in the middle of the restaurant. I ordered Coho Salmon entree with an additional side of the Grilled Carrots. Both dishes were excellent. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the carrots had a smoky, sweet, spicy taste. I did taste the Mac & Cheese, the Corn Bread and the Smoked Mushrooms and they were all excellent.

Brunch menu. Bullard breakfast, $18. Butter and jam are included but aren't pictured. The avocado came extra.

Brunch was yummy. The oysters were good but I didn't get a picture. We went for dinner too but they were out of a few things.

Pulled up to Pollo Bravo on Killingsworth and immediately loved the location. Easy, neighborhood energy. The kind of spot that feels like it's about to become "your place." Ordered takeaway -- rotisserie chicken (my preference, always) and the cauliflower. Let's talk chicken. Rotisserie over grilled. I stand by it. Juicy. Well cooked. Light enough to feel healthy, satisfying enough to feel like a proper meal. No dry nonsense. No over-seasoned chaos. Just solid execution. Is it the best chicken I've ever had? No. Is it flirting with the medal dais? Absolutely. Now the cauliflower. Whatever that green sauce was... keep it coming. Bottle it. Franchise it. It elevated the whole situation. I would order that again purely as a sauce delivery vehicle. Service? Quick. Smiling. Efficient. In and out with zero friction. We appreciate professionals. Momoyama definitely delivers in the flavor department. What I was struck by was not just the freshness of the fish, nor the expert cuts...but the diversity of flavors. Perfect example - the King salmon with truffle knocked my socks off. I am not really a fan of salmon. I find its raw texture to often be a little soft to my taste and the funk of the omega 3s in quality salmon is just... not my bag. The truffle completely transformed the experience for me. I was not prepared for how well the earthy notes of the truffle complimented the King salmon. It made the sushi something to be savored without any of the traditional off-putting (to me) fishy funkiness. Highly recommended. Similarly, the octopus Sunomono was perfectly prepared. Often, octopus can be chewy. Not in this case. Additionally, the sauces and the salad greens complimented the dish and elevated it from traditional "sushi tastes." The bracing acidity made me want to eat more and was a delightful preamble for the rest of the meal. Service was prompt, friendly, and accommodating. We had a large group of eight and they were dutiful in informing us they had included gratuity in the bill so as to avoid double tipping. This small courtesy was not wasted on us. Service was always readily accessible without being intrusive. Orders were executed without defect and questions were answered pleasantly and with expertise. The restaurant has a pleasant and serene serving space. The bracing refrain of the "Irashai!" Greeting was a welcome touch that made me smile. Overall highly recommended. So...despite plenty of suggestions from the server, and some advice from the chef, and a long time perusing and discussing the extensive menu, we still weren't sure what to order. We finally went with a combo and were disappointed to see it served in a boat! That just seemed like a gimmicky, touristy thing, we would have preferred a plate. The fish actually was very good, and so were the salads. A shrimp nigiri was the only misstep, as the shrimp was overcooked.
