Great Katsu, Gyosa, and Udon. Very yummy and good atmosphere. We'll definitely be back when in the area.

I stopped in to try the Deluxe Bento box. It comes with a choice of meat, Japanese side dishes, sesame ball, rice, miso soup, katsu sauce. It was flavorful and filling.

This is the best Katsu restaurant in Dallas! The pork Katsu was fried perfectly and the little pickles take me back to sitting in dark Little restaurants in Tokyo and Kyoto. I can't wait to try the cheese and pork Katsu next. So happy to have discovered this place!

Went to try their lunch. I ordered Kimchi bulgogi udon noodles soup. It's delicious. Self Serv order style. They'll deliver your order to your table. They're no longer serving sushi/sashimi. Nicely decorated and clean. Lots of parking.

Best udon ever i always get the spicy miso chashu pork udon, its probably my favorite food now. i don't know her name yet but the girl at the front who always hands me my order is the sweetest. i love this place

I ordered the bento box with the cheese pork katsu. I thought it was delicious and a complete meal. The service was very quick and there were no lines when I went for a Saturday lunch. It is also located in a plaza where there is a lot of parking. The ambiance was very casual where you order at the counter and they bring out the food to you. You also return your dirty dishes at the return location. The food was delicious but I thought it was slightly pricey for what I got.

I've been here a couple of times and the last time I went, I got the Chicken Katsu Bento Box and really liked it! It comes with your choice of meat (mine was chicken katsu like I mentioned), crab roll, salad, rice, gyoza, miso soup, sesame ball and katsu sauce. There was plenty of chicken and I loved the texture of it. The sides were pretty good and paired well with the chicken. I thought the portion size was great for the price and it was a filling meal.

I visited Bulldog Katsu for the first time on a Saturday night for dinner. It's a casual restaurant, and there's a large menu at the front + smaller menus to look at before you go up to the counter. There are self service kiosks - make sure you grab a table number next to the kiosk to assign to your order if you dine-in. Their pork and chicken cutlets are fried to crispy perfection without being oily. If you love curry, theirs is flavorful and pairs well with both their udon and katsu. If you like variety, I recommend their bento box where you can try a little bit of everything. Their deluxe bento has a couple more sides, but I think their classic bento is just as tasty + satisfying. The bento box came with two bottles of sauce for us to use (one being katsu sauce and the other being more of a spicy mayo). Overall, I enjoyed the meal and would come back!

LOVE this place. I go all the time and it's never too busy. You place your order on an ipad and it's pretty much self service. The staff is always really nice too. I always get the deluxe chicken katsu bento. They also have the best miso soup.

    Classic Pork Katsu

FOOD Classic Pork Katsu - The classic comes with cutlet, cabbage rice, and miso soup. It's super crispy and crunchy on the outside and the inside is great. The meat is tender and well cooked. Cabbage is fresh and crunchy as well. The sauce was perfectly drenched on the top of the cutlet and seeping down some onto the cabbage to give it more flavor. I did not have the miso since I'm allergic, but heard good things about it from my friend. Overall, pretty yummy katsu! VIBES The place is pretty sizeable with lots of seating from long wooden benches and standard tables to higher chairs and tables. I went around 7 PM with my friend and it wasn't super crowded. They have a cute city-like aesthetic with the cute-painted brick wall. The lighting is pretty dim and the place is pretty casual. SERVICE Service was great! The lady taking our order at the register was super sweet. It was pretty funny when my friend and I were trying to fight to pay for the bill, she said, "Don't fight" in a joking way. The menu also looks very clean and nicely laid out. Everything came out quickly and the food was great!

Quite exquisite! Food was solid, loved the curry sauce. We ordered to-go and they make our food very quickly and excellent. The restaurant is pretty clean and unique. Love the arrangement. Perfect!

The lady who was working the counter was soo sweet, 10/10 on the service. Inside it's very clean and modern feeling. They have cups of water for you to grab by the sauces. I'm not sure if this type of food isn't something that I would typically go for, but I thought the food was just okay. Curry and katsu was solid but I honestly preferred the katsu chicken sandwich over my meal. The fried squid was not my favorite, kind of oily but it wasn't bad; I just wouldn't get it again. Since for me I'm only every really enjoying curry and katsu if it's really cold out, my experience might differ from someone who enjoyed katsu more often. Solid place though.

    Daniela T.

New favorite spot! Delicious udon noodles , great portion sizes for the meat, tasty salad, and filling bento boxes. Their curry sauce is thick and creamy. Their meals also come with a warm and savory miso soup bowl. Their potions are very well balanced. It was my first time trying soupless udon noodles and cheese filled pork Katsu! The lady at the cashier was super kind explaining the menu to us. It's very well decorated , and i appreciated the images with the names of the dishes on the way. It made choosing what to eat even more difficult since everything looked so delicious ! But now I know I have to come back and try other dishes.

It had spinach, which wasn't traditional, but I enjoyed it all the same. The restaurant wasn't busy at the time, so it was no big deal, but worth noting. The service was actually the highlight of the night, and earned this review one additional star simply because of the effort involved. Else it would be a 3 star review. There was only one server running the entire front of house while the restaurant got progressively busier, and only two chefs in the kitchen. Despite being swamped, the server worked her tail off. She didn't mess up a single order for our large group and kept things moving. I greatly appreciated her hard work. Appetizers (5/5): The wait for food was noticeable due to the staffing, but the appetizers were worth it. We ordered the Edamame, Yatai Gyoza, Agedashi Tofu, and Takoyaki, and all of them were delicious. Entrees (3/5): Unfortunately, the main courses were a bit basic compared to the starters. The Tonkotsu Ramen was strictly average; I've definitely had better broth and noodles elsewhere. If you are looking for the top-tier quality izakaya, Mr. Max Izakaya in Irving is hands down better option. However, you have to wait an hour for a table there.

However, the past two times we shared this place with another couple who loves sushi just as much as my husband and I do. One reason we kept coming back, aside from all the delicious food, was how they labeled their menu with the top food allergens. As a food allergy mom, I appreciated this so much! Especially when I was still breastfeeding, I had to eliminate all of my daughter's allergies to breastfeed safely. The main ones I had to look out for was gluten, dairy, egg, nuts, and sesame seeds. The safe was aware of my limitations and shared empathy, not annoyance like other places. T Thankfully I'm out of that stage so I can eat anything on the menu now. We would like to take our daughter here some day, she loves sushi a lot! But being only 5 years old, we'll need to save it for a special occasion. We get carried away when we come here. The food here is top notch and worth every penny, so we'll have to save up. Cooked dishes we always order: Brussel sprouts, steamed mushrooms, hamachi collar and miso cod. We might have gone a little overboard, but everything was incredible! We ordered the Crunchy Eel Roll, Hamachi Nigiri, and Tuna Nigiri, along with two of the EBESU Course menus. My husband had the Chirashi Don and I went with the Toro Tekka Don. Love, love, love. As you can see, it was a lot of food, but every single piece was cooked and cut to perfection. The menu is also a little limited - this location has been open a while already so I assume they aren't going to expand the menu beyond whatever is already on there. I guess I've just been spoiled with other Izakaya's having pages upon pages of things to choose from. The dining area is quite nice, though I heard the og Irving location has tatami style seating - which this one does not. Not a deal breaker for me. Staff was nice and restaurant was clean, just wish their portion sizes were at least a little more "Texas" sized for the price.
