Have a scorpion in my house and they won't come for a day and a half. Not what I thought I was paying for!!!!

These people can't seem to get communication straight . Lost one of two accounts then sent someone to spray for bugs when call was for rodent problem. Although I have called and spoken with them with instructions to call the tenants before going to house they keep sending me, the landlord, the notices by email and missing the tenants. So far still roaches at one location and rodents at another. Have billed for service at both locations without getting results. read more

I guess my experience is different with this company seeing as how I purchased an Angie's list "big deal" for full home extermination. Everything has been difficult, from making the appointment-took a week of phone tag, to getting someone out here. I have no complaints with the actual tech that came out-he called when he was going to be late and have me a full explanation of everything. My complaint is the customer service, and having to hear from all reps. how busy it is and difficult to get an appointment because of all the specials they run. I just spent another ten minutes of my day attempting to get the tech back out here to respray for the sugar ants that have resurfaced in my kitchen after a week. I'm waiting for the rep to get back to me after he kept me on the phone trying to figure out his schedule. Overall, I won't be choosing this company for my regular pest control. Maybe they shouldn't run so many specials if they don't have the capability to handle the increased customer load. read more

These guys are wonderful. Their prices are reasonable, and they stand by their service. In a year, we've only had one occasion where a few bugs appeared, and they sent someone to treat the outside and then they called us a week or two later just to make sure we weren't finding any more bugs. The prices are reasonable and you can set the auto bill pay so you don't even have to deal with a lot of paperwork. I highly recommend them. read more

He knows our problem areas and his friendly service makes us feel like we are being treated by family. Fidel goes above and beyond what an average non-caring tech does. He makes sure all our concerns are addressed and he does it with a smile. Other pest companies have tried to win us over but because Fidel great service, we have stayed very loyal. Bulwark is amazing! I was introduced to them via Groupon and have been a loyal customer for over two years. They have packages you can choose from (I went with quarterly) based on your needs, but the wonderful part is they will always--ALWAYS--spray the house in between the quarters for no extra fee (at my request). One year they probably came three times in six weeks because I had annoying pantry pests! The staff is courteous and accommodating with my schedule, and can usually make it out within 1-2 days of my request. I could not be happier. read more

I find this company to be very push and therefore unprofessional. We scheduled an appointment with Bulwark. My husband called and canceled our appointment the next day, after finding a more affordable alternative. A Bulwark representative still showed up at my door the day of the (canceled) appointment. I informed the representative that the appointment had been canceled, and sent them away. Then called Bulwark, to remind them that we had canceled said appointment. The next day, another Bulwark representative showed up at my door. I again said, we canceled the appointment, and sent them away. Since that time, I have received at least four calls from Bulwark wanting to reschedule the canceled appointment, despite my informing them repeatedly that we went with another option. I find this company to be very pushy. Such unprofessional tactics ensure I will never use them in the future. read more

The salesman who came to our door in Houston Texas LIED to get a sale. we have been overcharged and still have problems. I also had 4 no show appointments and when they finally came out they charged me AGAIN. The service Manager told me I was the liar and good luck getting a refund. I was told first service was $120. I had purchased a yelp coupon $30 for $75 off. I told the tech when he came out that I had it. He looked at me confused, I called customer service and they said they would take care of it. Couple of days later I see the charge for $120. I call customer service they say that my service was $180 and that the coupon was applied. Simple math 180-119.26 does not equal $75. They were just trying to fudge some numbers to say it was applied. The tech that came out Juan was great and it seemed to fix the problem the little guy couldn't. But horrible customer service caused me to cancel. read more

I have used Bulwark when I lived in Las Vegas and now here in San Antonio and I have had good results. Marcos Ocejo was here yesterday and he was very polite and thorough while spraying my condo. All the service guys have been good and the prices are a little cheaper than the competition. I was still seeing a few bugs after my initial treatment but they came out again right away and took care of it. I have my place treated every 2 months and I haven't had any more bug problems. read more

The field personnel, the ones who show up and do the work, have always been very professional and helpful. However, the administrative side of the firm is less so. Had to fire this firm after over 7 years with them because it was the only way to straighten out a billing problem - that they created. Got the termite monitoring service last year, mind you after over six years of being a customer with a unique customer number, and rather than putting everything on one account they created two separate customer accounts with separate customer numbers. Then over the course of three months crossed payments for the regular service with the termite service and when pointed out in December 2016 they promised to straighten it out. They did not and the only way to finally straighten out their mess was to stop incurring any charges, on either account, and fire them. read more

We have used Bulwark for over a year now. They are great! The initial visit was very thorough and took care of all the inside pests. Since then, they spray the exterior and we've had practically no pests at all. When we have had to call (only twice in more than a year) for a centipede and a small scorpion invasion, they were out quickly to address the issue and did further indoor treatment with great results (no more pests!). Stan is always courteous, and inquires if there are any special needs that need to be addressed. He is polite and professional and does a great job! read more

My tech Jose was the best!! He explained everything in detail and was patient and my dogs adored him!! He let me know what he was using and constantly assured me he would be back if my problem was not fixed to my satisfaction. The best part is I don't have to worry about a different person coming every time. He told me he was the assigned person for me and I would only be dealing with him. That is so reassuring. I have had them for a while. they call and do not come, they send messages that are not in concert with the times that they are supposed to come by. I have talked to Wesley, Tony, both supposed mgrs there and made arrangements and they do not honor the dates/times that they are supposed to come by. I have paid in advance and had over $258 of advance payments. I have talked with managers and arranged times when people would service the house, only to have them not show up. Last Friday I talked with Wesley, probably the eighth or ninth call I have made in an attempt to get service. Despite all the past discussions we arranged a service to take place at 0900-1200 on the 23rd of June. We also arranged that I would get a five day notification prior to service so that I had time to react due to my work schedule, animals and a disabled wife. So everything was set........and then in the evening of 21 June I received an email from Bulwark saying that they would be out to service the house on Thursday the 22nd between 100-400PM. Imagine my surprise to get this...no reason, no nothing. This em stated that I needed to sent an em back to them in order to verify this service date/time. Well, I did not, because we had already established a 23 June date with the manager and I was supposed to get a five day notification, NOT one day!!! I did go onto the Bulwark site and sent an email asking what was going on? Why did I get the email? And stating that I already had an appt for the 23rd between 9-1200PM. So, I waited all morning and NO ONE showed, WHY?!??!??!?! Reprehensible!!!! No reason and I could go on and on about this foo-pah and all the _________ that I have gone through. I would never, EVER recommend this company to anyone, and in fact would recommend AGAINST them. I have talked to their technicians and had Fidel for two years, he was great....but he had issues that he was not being notified of cancelled services or that services would not be performed because I was never notified. I have not seen him and expect that he went to a more reputable and efficient company, I hope so for his sake. I called and talked to a Regional Service Manager, Craig Thompson, on the 23rd at 1155 when no one had showed up. So frustrated and beyond comprehension that I was ONCE again blown off by this service company, despite talking to a manager. We had the conversation about the litany of events described above and he said he wanted to make it right. After all the frustration, lack of commitment, and lack of communication by the senior folks I just did not want to even talk about it any more and thanked him for listening and hung up. Just nothing more to say. This is some of the worst service that I have received from any company that I have dealt with in 45 years. Having managed grocery stores when young, all the way up to corporate companies doing millions of dollars worth of business in the US and overseas, not to mention 26 years in the service, I have never, never been treated this bad or had this kind of service. Not a pleasure, not reputable, not capable of performing services desired or agreed to ......just not worth the time it takes to take out my garbage, a very polite euphemism for how I feel about them. Paid for a service that didn't happen. We've used this company for the past year and something always seemed not right or done. Was home for a scheduled service but he didn't spray our yard. Watched him walk the yard but didn't put anything down. They have trackers on their vehicles to show they arrived to the house. He just left the bill. Lost our trust and our business. read more

Very Unsatisfied. I paid close to $200 for their services and it didn't work. If anything I feel like it got worse. They told me they could come out to re treat it but they never did. When they called me finally they told me it was right after the 60 day mark and their services only work 20% that I would have to pay $75 every other month for it to work. I wish they would have told me that upfront. read more

I waited patiently, 11 AM to 1 PM with no call and no show for what should have been my first appointment. When I called the office to find out what happened I was told by Jesus that "things happen" and I agree but things don't happen that would prevent a phone call during a two hour window and the offering of half off the first service is not enough to make up for my wasted time or the bad first impression. Good customer service is not making your business problems the customer's problem. read more

If zero stars were possible, that would be today's rating. First, they don't call to schedule. They just show up whenever, regardless if you're home or not (meaning they can't spray inside if you're not there). We called three different occasions to tell them that we need them to call first and schedule, they say they will and they don't. They just call when they're ten minutes away (SURPRISE!). My youngest has a heart condition and I did not want to expose him to any potential risk, we had planned not to schedule any appointments, but they called to let us know my husband when the employee was already at our house. He agreed to only spray outside and we just went with it. Well, he sprayed outside and then I guess wanted to take his lunch break in our driveway. He backed up to a shaded part of our driveway and opened up the vehicle's doors, and blasted his music. As he woke up my sleeping infant, I had to YELL at this man to turn down his music and please leave if he is done. He obviously didn't realize I was home and was apologetic - but who on earth blasts music in someone else's driveway in a residential neighborhood?! My husband then called, they swore they would call the next time to schedule and apologized. But, again, they did this. They are refusing us a refund - in fact, they just continued to brush my husband's concern under the rug and tried to promise to call in the future. After multiple times of this promise and many issues - we do NOT recommend this company to ANYONE. read more

I consider Bulwark to be single-handedly responsible for my ability to remain a Texas resident. My years of renting in this fine state have made me a reluctant connoisseur of cockroaches. I really can't explain why I loathe cockroaches so, although I think their otherworldly speed and ability to masquerade under deceptively less-frightening aliases (palmetto bug? seriously? may as well name them Minnie and Mickie Roach) has something to do with it. The night I encountered my first flying cockroach was a) my own personal hell, and b) the night I decided that (in honor of Scarlett O'Hara) as God as my witness, I would never share my kitchen with a cockroach again. Honestly, I wasn't even sure it was possible-- we were renting a home from the 50s, and everyone had more or less told me that it was practically impossible to eradicate roaches from older construction. I read tons of online reviews and talked to friends and I found my way to Bulwark. After the first month of their treatment, we never saw a roach in our house again, something I cannot say for previous exterminators we tried. And I now feel safe at night walking into my kitchen and my bathroom. Happy ending. read more

I called Bulwark first thing this morning when I saw a scorpion walking down my hallway last night. oMG ! This was a wake up call for me! I'm from CA so I'm not used to the typical pests here in San Antonio so naturally I was freaked out. When I called Bulwark they scheduled me for the next day. A couple hours later they were nice enough to call me back to let me know they had an opening come up today so of course I took it. The tech's name was Andrew. Communication was great. He called me to let me know he was on his way and made good conversation while he was here. He was very polite and answered all my questions. The good thing about Bulwark is they have good time slots to fit every persons schedule. The reason for the 4 stars is because I have yet to see if their treatment has worked. I paid $ 95 for initial in/outdoor treatment and $89/every 3months. Everything is guaranteed to work so if anything pops up in between treatments it's free for them to come out and spray. Yuuuup so there yaaaa go . Hope this helps any body looking for local pest control. read more

Worst experience ever! Called this company to see if we could get an estimate for rat/rodent control. We have seen a rat in our backyard, and hear things in the attic, but we don't just hear it at night. So when I spoke to the first guy, I said I needed a quote for rat/rodent services. He said he had to transfer me to the area that handles that type of pest control. The next guy I talk to, I again said the same thing...not 100% sure it's rats so I need someone to come out. He proceeds to tell me that they don't handle that type of service. I asked him why the company website states rat/mice control? He said he didn't know but would refer me to another company in the area that does handle it. He gives me the name and I ask for the phone number. He tells me he doesn't have the phone number, and I will just have to google it! WTF! If you are going to refer a customer to another company, at least have the information. They definitely lost a customer, because not only was I wanting rat/rodent control, I was also planning on setting up regular pest control service, and possibly flea service...but not with them! read more
