Market price crab. Extremely difficult to get at the meat, but seasoned well. Oysters were fresh and delicious. Service was alright, but the vibes were great! Nothing like a bar right in the Jersey Shore!

Sunday lunch! Great spot down the shore. It has both indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking is available on the street. Dog friendly place as long as your pet is well behaved. Wait staff was friendly and checked in often. Casual bar-restaurantt. It has both an indoor and outdoor bar. Our food came out right away. For appetizers we ordered the calamari with sweet Thai chilli glaze. The calamari was fresh and tasted great with the sauce. For Lunch we ordered the Connecticut style lobster roll and fries and the cod fish tacos with tortilla chips. Bread was delicious. Lobster was fresh and buttery. Lobster to bread ratio was perfect. The fish tacos were crispy and had great flavor. Two tacos plus chips were plenty. For drinks we had a millionaire's long Island iced tea and a cosmo. Great spot for a summer meal.

I wanted to like this place. Loved the outdoor patio. Service was good. The menu looked great but the prices were a little steep. What we paid for 3 drinks and 3 apps woulda been a whole meal for 3 at other restaurants of the same quality. I'd do the steak crostini again for a place that tells you to try their "sister steak house." I expected a little better quality of meat though. I'd definitely go again. But don't let "bum" in the name fool you this is a pricey higher end joint disguised as a shore dive.

Bum Rogers is a great, no frills experience by the beach providing exactly what you expect upon entering. This isn't a high class seafood restaurant -- walking in you're greeted with dim lighting, a beer list on the wall, paper towels & buckets on each table, so you know you're about to be eating some messy food. They also make it pretty well known what they specialize in, so if you come here ordering anything but crabs you're setting yourself up for failure. My group got the crab dip & lobster bisque to start, along with crabs, shrimp & seafood pasta to be shared amongst the table. The lobster bisque was probably my least favorite item we got, and that's mainly because I wasn't expecting it to taste like straight sherry from the first sip. As I continued eating it got better, and was pleasantly surprised to find almost a whole claw of lobster meat in my soup. The crab dip was something I hadn't tried before, and was again pleasantly surprised with the amount of real crab meat I found within it. Garlic crab was as you would expect - rich, buttery, salty, all good things that a flavorful seafood pot is. I loved that the sauce piled up on the bottom of the bucket (yes, you're served in a bucket) for your potato and corn to soak up. If you're not into the idea of eating only crab for dinner, I highly recommend the New Orleans pasta --- choice of linguine or penne topped with scallops, shrimp, vegetables & a whole crab! All the seafood was perfectly cooked - no overcooked rubbery food here. Wait staff was attentive as well, checking in on us frequently and always asking if everything was cooked to our liking. Be warned - you're going to leave here feeling disgusting with the amount of butter you've consumed. But it's okay, because I wouldn't have it any other way when eating my weight in crab meat.

After being a fair amount of times I can confidently say this place is a hard 3 stars. Service is hit or miss, but the food does come out quickly which is nice. If you're going, you must get the crabs, otherwise there is not much of a point as all of the other food generally is pretty mid. I've had many of the crab seasonings but the best is the garlic. The calamari was repulsive, super tough and the breading was not good. Also, the clam appetizer was so bad - the smallest clams where it was so difficult to eat because it would shred trying to remove it from the shell. The atmosphere is decent depending on your live. Slightly dingy inside and typically have live music going which could be annoying if your vibe is to eat dinner, get drunk and talk with friends at the table because it can be loud. If you are sitting in the bar area with the intent to drink and have some fun then it's worth going at least once.

This time we sat at the bar around 1:30 pm on a Sunday. It was mostly couple enjoying a drink and lunch at the bar. All the TVs were showing Super Bowl preshows which we were happy about. We got our beverages from a very friendly bartender and ordered our lunch. I substituted onion rings instead of fries w my lobster roll, my husband got a fried flounder sandwich on an Italian roll. My lunch was exactly what I was in the mood for cooked perfectly. George loved his, too. The atmosphere was chill and low key. Service was quick and our food served hot. Very happy we decided to go there. We will be back for sure.

Great location coming out of Island Beach State Park and the vibe in the back was upbeat and fun. Excellent oysters and good selection on the menu. Good wait staff as well. The fish of the Day was Swordfish. The dish looked great, but I can't rave about the taste as it was lacking (even w the fine pineapple topping and using lemon on it, still kinda "tasteless"). Two others got the Mahi Mahi and actually said the same thing! That said, there are many other things on the menu (and the rice and green been sides were great, so we didn't leave hungry). The young staff were fun and they gave a nice dessert to my Mom for her birthday. Overall a fun time, but I'll go with something else on our next visit!

We were pleasantly surprised to find Klee's Bar and Grill open. We were seated and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She brought our drinks and took our food order. I ordered a Ruben sandwich with fries and a cup of chili. While we waited there was live music being played by a one man band from behind the bar. He was entertaining playing classic rock and not to loud that you couldn't talk. Our food came quickly and was very delicious. My sandwich was served open faced and piled with meat. The fires were hot and fresh. I was also impressed with the hostess who was cleaning tables. She really wiped them down good with disinfectant spray and then wiped the chairs as well. There is nothing bad I can say about this place and would highly recommend it.

Our bartender was excellent and after hearing I was vegetarian, she recommended the eggplant sandwich. The eggplant is thin and perfectly crisp. I low key wish this was an eggplant parm or dressed with some type of sauce, but it's delicious on its own. Last night we went Klee's and the food was good but the service was exceptional. Our waitress was extremely attentive. I got the eggplant sandwich with fries which I almost forgot about (I don't know how). Their fries are crisp and incredible. My mom got the meatloaf and instead of mashed potatoes got fries. Instead of broccoli, she got green beans. The portions were huge and she was very happy with the substitutions. We also got dessert which we regret not sharing because their portions were huge. She got the chocolate peanut butter pie and I got the apple crisp. The apple crisp was stacked. Both were good! Next time we will definitely split dessert because we were stuffed. I highly recommend checking this spot out. Oh if you are in the mood for lighter food, their nutty pear salad is so refreshing and yummy! I will definitely be back!

There's a jet ski rental on the premises and a large enough parking lot. Prices are decent here for the cooked food. The retail fish market prices seemed a bit high to me. I ordered lunch takeout and things felt a little disjointed. I had to call a few times to get through to a person to place the order. Then upon pickup, I had to wander around inside to find someone who suggested that maybe I ordered from another location since they hadn't received any takeout orders. Then another guy told the girl that they did indeed receive a couple orders... And thankfully he had mine. There were only a few employees here. The traditional lobster roll was excellent. Good portion, very tasty and I loved the seasoned fries. The fish and chips treated a bit meh. The fish itself had a funny taste to it. My son liked his cheeseburger and I had the fried clam strips. It was about expected. The menu says they are fried littleneck clams, but they are indeed little strips. They're alright. It's hard to taste the clam either things as they're so small. Anyway, if you want a full, buttery lobster roll at a his price, I highly recommend it here. And, no credit card fee!
