**Buyer Beware: Disappointing Experience with Bumble Breeze** We recently built a new home in North Las Vegas and sought an HVAC company to install a whole-home humidifier. Based on their positive online reviews, we decided to work with Bumble Breeze. Unfortunately, our experience has been far from satisfactory. When we first contacted Bumble Breeze, the front desk representative informed us that they do not install humidifiers in new construction homes. However, after seeking clarification, an appointment was scheduled to discuss our options. Leo Murietta, a former Marine (I include this because he played to his honesty based on his service and the fact that my husband is a retired Marine), visited our home and recommended a steam humidifier, assuring us that it would work effectively as long as the heat, air conditioning, or fan was running. He even demonstrated its effectiveness through videos and reassured us that one system would adequately humidify our large home - videos showed examples of his mother's residence blowing visible amounts of humidity through a vent. When we inquired about achievable humidity levels, he stated that the system could achieve between 20-60% humidity, but confidently stated we could reach 40% as that is what we were able to research as being a good level. We were further recommended (upsold) on a UV scrubber, that we chose to add on to ensure purified air being introduced into the home. Although the system was expensive, over $10k, we proceeded based on the promise of enhanced comfort and the convenience of not needing to refill water tanks, as is necessary with single-room humidifiers. However, our experience with the installation process and the product itself has been highly disappointing. The installation team left our home dirty, with marks on walls and baseboards. They were not given the full order of what to install and my husband thankfully asked about the UV scrubber and after they called to verify, understandably, they had to schedule another appointment for two technicians to come out and install. Additionally, they replaced our Honeywell thermostats with Google Nest models instead of the promised Ecobee thermostats. After setting the humidity level to 40%, we noticed no improvement. Bumble Breeze sent technicians to address the issue, initially increasing the system's amperage to the maximum allowed setting per manufacturers recommendations. When that failed to resolve the problem, the install technician informed us that our home was too large for a single system and recommended purchasing an additional unit for the downstairs. This was contrary to Leo's initial assurances. We were also told that the system only functions with the heat on, apparently because of the Google Nest thermostat, contradicting the original claim that it would work with the air, heat, or fan. When we mentioned the Ecobee thermostat, they admitted it could work differently but also recommended the potential of a separate controller just for humidity. This came from a third technician that was sent out to inspect the unit and its output. After spending $13,000, we have a humidifier that works only with the heat, barely raises our humidity above 30%, and does nothing for our downstairs humidity. Despite numerous calls and visits, we have received inconsistent explanations from various technicians. After being contacted twice by a lead, Mario, we were able to get it escalated to Scott Chester, the General Manager, who from the initial conversation with my husband was dismissive and unprofessional, even suggesting we should have recorded/videoed the sales pitch to verify what was promised. Scott even went as far as making comments that he had better things to do that deal with unsatisfied customers. He attempted to walk the statement back when my husband addressed the statement, claiming he was being taken out of context. Bumble Breeze has refused to address the issues or honor the commitments made during the sales process. My husband asked if he could email or call the corporate office since they apparently made the decision to not offer a refund and removal of the unit. Scott stated that corporate management is anonymous and unavailable for customer communication. We feel deceived by this company, which has failed to deliver on its promises or provide an acceptable resolution. Their lack of accountability and unwillingness to ensure customer satisfaction is unacceptable. We caution others to carefully consider their options before choosing Bumble Breeze. Know that you should be recording all communications with them as a fail safe in the event there are any issues with your service or product because it will be commented on several times by Scott the GM as to why he is unable to do anything. *Of note, despite their inability to provide corrective actions, the technicians were all very polite. On 8/12/24, I called to see if they could come and fix the compressor on my ac unit. I got their name from the Amana website as an Amana dealer and servicer. The lady took my information and told me someone would call me back would call me back. A little later another lady called me and verified some info and told me they would call me the next day. No one ever called me back. It must be nice to have so much business that you don't need to return calls. Yesterday I reached out for a leak in my wall, at first there was a service fee to come out. I told them my issue and they reached out to a supervisor to confirm if its approved that a tech comes out & provides a free estimate. About an hour later its approved, We scheduled for today between 1-4, i called at 12 and told them I need a sooner time frame and they got someone right out! Unfortunately Brian came out and has a parking phobia, he was instructed by valet to park in front of the service entrance & he refused. He was told that another parking area is available directly across the street but Brian refused again (this is where all contractors park that come up for maybe 15 mins to the high rise residential units & provide estimates. This is nothing new but Brian still refused to park anywhere & proceeded to leave. Wow have these guys been a train wreck. First, our air conditioning went down on Monday morning. We called and they said between 3-6 that afternoon they'd be here. 6 pm rolls around. We call to see if they're close. They forgot about us and had to "see if our after hours guy can make it". They eventually show up at 8:45 pm, and the guy told me "Sorry I'm so late, they told me to come here last minute." Meaning that we had an appointment but they never scheduled anyone to come over. We had originally had an appointment with them for later in the week for a tune up. We didn't cancel the appointment since we still needed the AC filter changed. We called them today to tell them that we had found the filter for them to use. To find out that they cancelled that appointment and never told us about it. So that's great. For the record, if they come for a tune up, they'll change the filter for $29. But for just the filter it's $49. So double the price for half the work. We bought our home January 2021. Having been built in 2006, there were some improvements that had to be made. Our HVAC system was one of them. We contacted Bumble Breeze as well as two other brand name competitors. Wes Lokken, from Bumble Breeze gave us a well-informed presentation. He was remarkable. A seasoned professional who holds full knowledge of his profession, he answered all our questions without having to call the home office or having to research anything. He presented us with options depending on our needs. The options ranged from the most expensive to the least expensive, and everything in between. He also provided positives and negatives for the entire spectrum. He did not rush us, and he did not try to persuade us to purchase one option over another. He did not disparage his competitors. He encouraged us to seek other avenues. On the installation date, the workers came to the home in a professional, efficient manner. They explained to us, in detail, what we should expect during the course of the day. It was a very pleasant experience. There were few problems that came up, and they were addressed immediately. It was getting late, and we suggested that they could finish up the next day. They would have none of that. They did not leave until THEY were satisfied of a job well done. Before they left, they cleaned all debris meticulously. If you need to replace your HVAC, we would highly recommend Bumble Breeze without reservation.
