Bumblebee's easily earns the title of being a unique fusion food joint. Not only are they a small establishment that's a hole in the wall and is pretty hidden, they also bring together American and Koren cuisine, which is something I have never seen before. Everybody always raves about the K-Pop Fries, so of course we ordered some, and additionally, I ordered a Twisted Ranch burger. The fries, according to everybody, were great and are well entitled to the hype around them. The burger, however, was as bland as a burger could get. You could barely taste the bacon, and the patty was not seasoned in any way, though it was pretty juicy. Personally, if you come here, I'd suggest ordering from the Korean menu, and not the American. read more

I'm here on business from Boise, Idaho and found this little spot on yelp. Small place but not crowded. A nice cheery environment. I ordered the k-pop fries which are French fries covered in yummy spicy sauces, bulgogi beef and green onions. SO GOOD! I also got the mansion, which is Korean style potstickers. Also delicious and very crispy. The food was prepared very quick and I also got a free desert for using the yelp app. Need more places like this back home! read more

I've been here twice now & I really, REALLY wanted to love it. But it's just lacking in a lot of aspects for me. I LOVE Korean food & I'm usually a fan of fusion foods. The first time I came here I ordered a kalbi burger - there was nothing "kalbi" about it. I honestly couldn't even tell if they really used short ribs. There was no hint of marinade, or anything. Then they threw on a piece of soggy iceberg & a tomato. It tasted like something I would get a dive diner or something. I tried it again tonight & got bulgogi tacos & K-pop fries. The tacos were okay. Sloppily put together & lacking in overall flavor. The k-pop fries I was particularly excited about because of the great reviews. It was literally fries drenched in spicy mayo & sriracha, with just a few pieces of meat & green onions. Why were these special? Every single fry was so drenched that after a few bites I was overwhelmed with mayo. There was no flavor profile. Everything tasted like spicy mayo. As much as I wanted to love this place I don't think I'll be returning. Two stars because the employees have been nice both times. read more

Good and bad experience for our lunch. First the good stuff. The Kpop fries with beef bulgogi was tasty and fresh and highly recommended. The bad was my burger. I got the heart stopper which is just a blue bacon burger and it was delivered to the table within 1 minute of making the order. The ground beef patty was clearly mass production dense and flavorless. Much like you get with a gas station microwave burger. It was clearly precooked and put on a bun as ordered. The problem I had was there was a distinct off flavor throughout the patty. It was like the patty had been sitting in water soaking for a hour with cooked tilapia. Either the beef had gone bad or there was a flavor contamination in the cooking process, I returned the burger after 2 bites and explained the problem. No offer of replacement,refund, or simple apology. If you served food that tastes spoiled a simple "sorry" should be the bare minimum. read more

The power went out in our neighborhood, so I felt adventurous and headed to Yelp to see what dinner options were close by that we hadn't tried. Husband ordered the K-Pop fries which he raves about. "Really good!" He also had the Mrs Pa burger - a Korean burger with sweet onions, bacon, cheese, and lettuce. When asked, he said, "it was pretty good!" Ok...not stellar, but pretty good. K-noodles with bul-kogi over noodles with cabbage and peppers in it. 8yo said, "it was the best food I EVER had!" And later, "the best after the school's pizza." Not sure that's a ringing endorsement. I had the Bee-Bim-Bop since I don't do flour or cheese. I ordered it for all the veggies (there weren't as many as I wanted, though) It consisted of a bed of rice with veggies and I added bul-kogi which made this smallish meal over $9 We had the whole thing for $39 and change since I tipped the girl - she was really nice and helpful. I couldn't stop eating. The bulgogi fries were the best (sour cream siracha sauce!), followed by the bulgogi sandwich, topped with sautéed veggies on a grilled bun. Only thing I would skip are the tacos because of the grocery store tortilla (although everything inside was great). Maybe if they would throw it on the grill it would taste a little better. Was stoked to try this place because I love Korean BBQ but I left severely disappointed. For starters, the service was mediocre. The girl who took our order did not seem educated on the product. On top of that, it took FOREVER to get our food (we probably waited around 30 minutes). My order was wrong but I had waited so long to get it and my baby was at her wits end, so I just went with it. My husband said that without the bbq sauce his Mr. Kim burger was bland and my Bee Bim Bop was good but nothing memorable. The one plus side of this place was the price. My husband and I both were filled in about $15. I'll try this place again for a redemption run, in the hopes it was an off night. If it fails my expectations again, I'll let you know. read more

So i'm not a huge fan of fusion places. Just my personal preference. But I do like this place! I got the kimchi balls and a Kalbi burger with k-pop fries. I wish I would've known how much food that was because I was definitely biting off more than I could chew. The k-pop fries were more of an entree than a side, they could be a meal on its own! The kimchi balls were delicious little fried balls of kimchi. Of course anything fried is always delicious so these were a win! The Kalbi burger was alright. Kalbi is usually my favorite Korean BBQ meat, but I feel like the burger aspect took away from the flavors. Now the k-pop fries were on point. I definitely suggest the Bulgogi, but be aware of the enormous portion! For how cheap this place was and how friendly the cashier was, i'll definitely be back! read more

Their Kimchi is pretty good. Tasted different than most places. I asked and they said that they buy it and then cook it with their flavors. They should jar it and sell it. The bulgogi is sweet, more like teriyaki than bulgogi. Bulgogi fries were over rated. I couldn't finish. It was saucey. My kid had katsu burger which he liked. Ok Yelp, it's date night. What you got for us? (and you better not disappoint!) Hmmm... Bumble Bee's Korean and American. Let's give it a try. Wow, you didn't disappoint! First impressions: slightly rough part of town, old bowling alley next door. Outside building old. But, walking in Bumble Bees, it's very clean, well kept, and cozy. Only a dozen tables. On a Friday night just before 7pm, it's surprisingly empty. Just one other table. Counter help was very helpful except when asked, "what's good?" He said, "everything!" He was right. He proceeded to tell us a little about everything on the menu. We had a Katsu sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, and we split a KPop fries. Plus 1 drink all for $23.22. Closer to the $$ side then the $ side. Portions were large. Katsu sandwich was awesome! Pork was crispy and vert tasty. Pulled pork was slightly on the sweet side. Loads of meat though. Cole slaw was fair. Fries were very good also. Very large portions! Customers move through fast. 5 or 6 customers (both stay and go) went through in about :45. We'll be back, thanks yelp! read more

Bumblebees is a hidden little gem within the unfortunate city of Midvale. However regardless of its location it is most definitely worth the trip! They're most popular dish the K-POP fries are out of this world, at this point I've had them several times. I enjoy the flavor differences I get from substituting the regular fries for sweet potato fries(additional cost). So if you happen to find yourself passing through the south end of SLC, make sure you give them a try. read more

We were in the area and pulled up Yelp. I've never been disappointed with an overwhelming number of reviews for the area with a four-and-a-half star. Dave said it was the best burger he's ever had and even if you like fancy burgers like Cubby's, Bumblebee BBQ beats it hands down. I got the salad minus the tofu it was delicious. We also ordered the fries which is a meal in itself and was delicious if you enjoy loaded fries. E toppings were great. We will definitely make the drive to go here sometime in the future. read more

It's a small place with cheap furniture and your basic dive feel. Worth a try. It won't be something I would crave like a Sam Hawk in Provo but it is a decent option for a different fast lunch. It was fine but nothing special. The food isnt over priced but it also isnt a great value for what you get too. Check in with Yelp and get a brownie for free. Most of times that I have been there the owner has taken my order. which makes it more personal and my food is made fast and brought to my table. So my sister's in town for the weekend, so after picking her up we decided to go to dinner. I already had to make a stop in Midvale, so we decided to find something close by. We hit on this place after seeing it had gotten such great reviews on Yelp. We went in around 6 pm and I was shocked there was no one else there. The place was cute - kind of reminded me of an old 50's diner. The staff was super friendly. There were 3 people that we saw working behind the counter - one on the register and 2 in the kitchen. I'm guessing one of them was the owner. We ordered the loaded fries, one of the burgers, and the tacos (see below for descriptions). Overall we both really enjoyed our meals. Each item was packed with flavor, dripping with sauce, and lots of texture. It definitely was a step up from some other Korean food I had recently, but it still didn't touch my favorite Korean go-to in Vegas. If you do go, I highly recommend any of the 3 things we had. The serving of fries was huge. The burger was a good size too. The only kind of concern I have was that everything was more on the sweet side - which I don't mind - but it was surprising. Their prices are really descent. We were in and out for right around $22 which felt reasonable considering the size of servings we received. I'll probably go back again if in the area.
