All I've got to say is come into Bumblebee's accepting the fact that you'll get a heart attack soon after. Don't get me wrong, the food's good, not great, but not bad either. It's a very simple restaurant where you order at the counter then go to a table while you wait for your food. I had a cup of water and it tasted really dirty, dirty enough that I started drinking my brother's lemonade because I couldn't stand the taste. As for the food, I just wish everything wasn't so drenched in sauce. Because of such high reviews on Yelp, I'm open to trying Bumblebee's again but ask for all the sauce on the side so I can actually appreciate its other flavors. read more

I found myself craving Korean food, but didn't want to drive to E-Jo. Found this place on yelp and was not disappointed. Thanks yelpers! My family ordered Mr Kim kimchee burger, first date burger, bulgogi sandwich, bibimpop with spicy pork and k-pop fries with spicy pork. My kids are 8-12. We loved the k-pop fries and the fry sauce. My 12yr old loved the kimchee burger. My wife usually only eats half of her food to enjoy later, but she pounded down the entire bulgogi sandwich. I got the bibimpop. Very authentic flavors, super tender spicy pork, tender and flavorful burgers and fries. In true Korean style, there are lots of condiment options. The place is a bit divey at first, but the cute Korean family has done a great job of warming the place up with the yellow bumblebee theme. By the way, the title "Bumblebee BBQ" is a little misleading. In America, BBQ made me think of Joe Morley's or Famous Dave's. This is more of a grill/diner. But in Korea when you say BBQ you think bulgogi and kalbi. So I can see where they're coming from. Price wise, we averaged $10/plate. Looking forward to my next visit! read more

The flavor was good but everything else seemed a little soggy. I didn't dine in I ordered to pick up. I may dine in next time and maybe my experience will be different. read more

Went here tonight at the suggestion of a friend and I had the vampire burger. Lots of garlic and onion, but very tasty and juicy. There are 2 menus the Americanized and the more Korean inspired. The K-pop fries came recommended and were good with lots of spice. I wouldn't order them again for myself but ONLY because I like my fries crispy and salty and I have a hard time with food that is drenched in sauce. I do realize that most people love this and would love these fries so don't let my strange preference affect your menu choice. Don't judge it was a business lunch and I wasn't at liberty to complain. So I opted for tacos, which were 9/10. Subperfect score only bc they used flour tortillas. Pro's 1) Tasty flavors in traditional american fare (k-pop fries, Mr. Kim kimchi burger) and more korean fusiony food (friend kimchi rice balls). 2) Friendly staff. Very patient when I took an eternity looking at the menu deciding what I should order. Also, they explained what each item was and provided recommendations based on my food preferences. 3) Clean! 4) Reasonably priced! Definitely 1 $ on Yelp. This place was OK. Was in town for work and looking for something near our meeting. This joint got great reviews and bbq sounded good at the time so we checked it out. Both my co-worker and I got the chicken fingers with fries. Fries were on the border of being really good but lacked any seasoning. The chicken batter was excellent and I liked that they were cut into smaller pieces. All the sauces were weak. Ranch had NO flavor, fry sauce was runny and had no flavor, however the bbq sauce was pretty decent. Prices were really good however based on what I ordered I don't get it. KPOP fries are the best. I usually go to the West Valley location because it's closer to my house. But what I like about this location is that the owner is back there cooking up the food. You can see in his face that he wants you to like his food, and that he's genuinely happy you chose to eat at his establishment. Family owned and family ran. In an area of town with otherwise bleak food offerings, Bumblebee's is a welcome relief. The prices are fair and the food is good and /interesting/. You can get 'normal' burgers, but also Korean-type BBQ offerings, such as kimchi balls and K-burgers. My favorite -- and something i've never seen anywhere else -- were the Kpop noodles. They're not on the online menu so might be new. Try 'em! There's a few options which are inherently vegetarian, and any of the burgers can have a good quality black bean patty substituted for a few extra cents. The restaurant was very clean but for some reason the table was very sticky. Ordered the Bleu Cheese burger, ordered medium rare. Got the burger in about 9 minutes but the burger was cooked medium well with no char. Burger had little flavor but with the bleu cheese it was ok. The fries were cooked perfectly. Service was friendly. Not sure I would make this a destination burger stop but not a bad place. read more

So so so good. Korean food is already a rarity here in this area so to combine burgers with Korean flavor is AWESOME. I had the mr Kim burger (kimchi and an egg on it!) an tried a bit of the Kalbi burger. Both were great. Also had the fried rice balls. Good flavor. We came here after many months of consideration. It has such great reviews. I had the kpop fries with the gogi beef. The meat was awesome but I wish it had more meat on them. They were a bit slow to bring out our food. My buddy pal got the bul gogi gogi sandwich and I was extremely jealous. Smelt soooo good. I will be back for that sandwich. Wanna try the ranch bbq burger as well. We got some kimchi rice balls... Nobody at the table really liked them. Really fishy tasting, but not terrible. I am updating my review from 3 stars to 4 stars because the owner sent me an email with an apology for the long wait within 25 minutes of leaving the premises! Now that's dedication. read more

Start with the good :D I enjoyed the k-pop fries. I will go again just to have this The OK part of my first visit: The sandwich's are stuffed with too much for the bread. Pick it up and it flops down because all the ingredients have made the bread soggy. The flavors were pretty good, but on the KP-Spicy sandwich, the veggies (maybe the yellow bell peppers) add a sweet flavor that I could have done without. I feel like they give less meat now on Koop fries but it could have just been because my friend and I both ordered k-pop fries so they could have just split it for us. This was my friend's first time here and he basically got what I got. I love K-pop fries so that's what we both went for. He got the normal one with bulgogi and I got sweet potato fries with bulgogi. I just love substituting my fries lol. Anyways, I felt like they gave him way more sauce than I got, so I ended up dipping some of my fries cause of the lack of sauce on top but still was a great meal. Amazing as usual.
