Making our way down to San Diego and took the coastal route. My thought was to stop at the first "coffee stop" I could see. Bump stood out and we luckily found a spot behind the place. Parking is tight but there's about 6 spots. The menu is real small. Simply the basics, hot or iced coffee. I opted for an iced with cream and sugar. It was good. But the vibes inside proved to definitely be a locals only spot. We felt very out of place, the inside was not inviting at all.

Love this spot! The baristas are always super nice and the outdoor seating is perfect for hanging out and enjoying the Carlsbad vibe. Great place to grab a coffee and relax.

Absolutely loved the iced mojito special from Bump coffee. I usually don't finish my coffees but I finished the entire drink! This place was quiet on a Sunday so service was quick, baristas were friendly, and coffee was delicious. The spot was super cute and beachy. You can't go wrong with this spot!

Walk up and order: coffee and empanadas. It works!

Great breakfast or lunch option when in Cardiff. Opens early, 6:00 am. Great selections and carefully crafted coffee drinks. Freshly made breakfast empanadas that are tasty: both vegetarian and meat. Really tasty yet also pricy. Friendly staff. The place has a loyal following. Prices seemed a tad steep, but doable. Not sure what to make of the large flag. Not bad, just curious about the symbolism. Interesting that one morning when we passed by, there were many law enforcement officers socializing and hanging out. We are not from the area and thought these observations were interesting. Bump is a nice alternative to the coffee and sweets available elsewhere.

Morning CBDream at Bump Coffee hit the spot! It is also my first time trying their empanadas. Highly recommended both Serrano & Egg and Bacon & Egg. I love coming to Bump especially the host was so friendly! Thanks for being a great neighbor shop! There is more than coffee. Ambiance is simple and clean. Check out the Tangerine juice they have in the cooler shelf! Support local ya'all!

Quick service, excellent coffee . Atmosphere welcoming and friendly. Got a pour over coffee and empanada. Both very good although empanada was small for $4.50 that's why 4 star

My new favorite pit stop on the way to San Diego from OC. I LOVE their mint mojito coffee!!! The shop itself is super cute and I can't wait to pass by again to try the empanadas.

We saw this coffee shop while driving down the coast one Saturday morning, so we stopped to check it out. The front street parking was full, so we turned the corner and parked in the neighboring street...short walk back down. Once we walk into the bright, open and airy shop, we were greeted right away with a beautiful friendly smile (always plus points for me!). We looked at their drink menu which was straight forward: Pour Over Coffee, Cold Brew, OJ, and CBDream. They also had a selection empenadas as well. Order up: - Pour Over Coffee - Bacon and egg empanada The coffee was decent and hit the spot, while the empanada was tasty, perfect in size. I saw a gentleman delivering boxes of oranges, so I'm sure their OJ is legit! LOL! Cheers till next time...

To start, the employees here are so sweet! There are so many seating options inside, outside, and even an additional seating area in a more quiet and secluded room. The tortillas that they use for the tacos are good as well. Whether you are gluten-free, vegan, trying to eat healthier, or simply accompanying a friend, Nectarine Grove has something for everyone!

Surely they are masters at greasy bacon and eggs, day old coffee, and probably little else. Wrong. Very wrong. This place may look a little ordinary from the outside but there is nothing ordinary about it. It may look like a classic diner inside but it does not sling food like an old diner. The menu is well-written and the food is high quality, excellent, and borderline gourmet. Do not order eggs, bacon, and toast here. Swing for the cheap seats. We tried the Ham, Avocado and Tomato Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce was fantastic. If I didn't care about remaining somewhere under 350 pounds, I would return every Saturday and eat my way through every single eggs benedict concoction on the menu and there are many such benedict creations from which to choose. The Banana Nutella crepe, with "whip" cream (not "whipped," apparently, we're gentle with our cream here, folks), was decadent. If you like your breakfasts on the sweet side, you will enjoy this one. The Tres Porkitos omelet (made with ham, bacon, sausage, and cheese) was hearty and just as good as it sounds. The breakfast potatoes were very nicely done but could have used a little more seasoning. There is a salt shaker (and numerous hot sauces) on the table for just these types of emergencies. Do NOT leave here without getting a freshly-made biscuit with butter and honey on the side. You have made a serious error in judgment if you leave without getting one of these. Even the freshly-squeezed orange juice was delicious. Our server was wonderful. No complaints. They have dining inside or on the patio. Encinitas is a delightful community. While I loved the old school diner feel inside, you cannot go wrong with the people watching outside on one of our almost always sunny days in So Cal. If you live here, you already pay the Sunshine Tax so get your money's worth and sit outside, if you can. 10 stars.

After looking at the menu I decided on the corned beef hash and my friend asked me to order her kid a grilled cheese sandwich so she wouldn't have to wait to eat since it was a long drive for them. The hash was good. I should have asked them to make it a bit crispier though as is it has a lot of flavor and I saw some celery in there. When my food arrived, the bagel had visible mold on it. It was very concerning that this wasn't caught before being served. I brought it to the attention of the staff member who delivered the food. Instead of taking the plate back and replacing the meal, he simply removed the bagel from my plate and brought another one. Given the situation, I would have expected the entire dish to be remade. Additionally, the coffee mug I was given appeared dirty, which added to my concerns about overall cleanliness. I later felt sick and experienced symptoms consistent with food poisoning, possibly related to the meal. For the quality of food and service provided, the pricing felt unreasonably high. The overall experience did not reflect the cost. I'm really disappointed with the lack of quality control and how the situation was handled. I hope management takes food safety, cleanliness, and customer service more seriously moving forward.
