Apparently I had always been looking on weekends, and was unable to find them for a long time! So first of all, they don't answer the phone. My first few visits, I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it all was with freshly crisped taco shells and fresh out of the fryer chips- I was hooked! I've told everyone about them only to be completely blindsided by ordering $30 worth or food for one person, their portions are generous I was just so excited, I needed more! BIG MISTAKE- The Pastor crispy taco seemed like it had been drying out for the last three days. Stale shells and little tiny dried chunks of dog food is what the meat resembled, with no flavor. But I was really looking forward to the nachos ! Only to find the box swamped with old refried beans that were damn near crusty, granted a general portion of Carnitas that were ok, but so much seemingly fake guac and sour cream on top of store-bought stale chips, I wish I had taken a picture, I was disgusted. The two star rating is averaging my experiences at this restaurant because it is so vastly varying . I don't know who wire what possessed you to change the way you do things, but please change it back!

The food was fabulous, there was plenty of it, and they even worked right through a massive storm in our backyard without missing a beat. We are actually using them again tomorrow for a huge event of 150 people, and they have been wonderful to work with throughout the planning process. They are incredibly responsive and have been so flexible with us--I am so looking forward to having them back! Their setup is stunning. The display of street tacos, the beautiful, colorful tablecloths, and all the little extra touches they add truly make the experience come alive. I HIGHLY recommend them. They don't skip on the garnishes either so every bite is chef's kiss. My kid loves their regular burrito with either carne asada or chicken. It's simple but on point. Just rice, beans, cheese, and meat. But every ingredient is cooked well and packed with flavor to make the perfect combination. The agua fresca is delicious. The pineapple is our favorite. It's so cold and almost frozen which is perfect for this Sacramento heat. This is hands down the BEST Mexican food in Roseville. Trust, your stomach and wallet won't be disappointed!

The food can be a bit hit or miss depending on the day and the dish, leading to a 3.5-star experience overall. Their carne asada is a consistent standout. It's tender, perfectly cooked, and free of any gristle, making it a reliable choice. The seafood is also exceptional, as both the mixed seafood and shrimp ceviche tostadas we tried were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. My mom is also a fan of their freshly made flour tortilla chips. However, inconsistency with the seasoning and preparation holds them back from a higher rating. The rice & beans are occasionally over salted, which unfortunately happened with a chicken burrito and a rolled taco plate, even though they were perfect on a different visit. The quesabirria taco plate had nicely seasoned meat but suffered from being a bit too salty, soggy, and lacking enough cheese. Similarly, the dry version of the Hot Cheetos burrito missed the mark because the Cheetos were slightly stale and the fries inside were mealy rather than crispy. Their excellent carne asada still shined. I want to emphasize that I'm not trying to be salty towards Barrios because of my own personal preferences and I will continue to return. Despite the service, the pizza was DELICIOUS and I love that it was a thin crust. One of our maids of honor is extremely celiac and they were very reassuring throughout us double and triple checking on food prep for that! Their bartenders prepped our cocktails perfectly - I sampled them all, and they were all delicious!! So professional and nice as well. The caterers had our plates waiting for us at our table before everyone else got up to go to the buffet which was so nice and helpful. I got a chance to eat all of the delicious food!! They were coming around refilling our waters, and filling champagne for the toast, and were present and so kind and helpful throughout the night. Again, the beef was good, but it was just meat, spread, and (I think) a crunchy daikon/carrot slaw. Maybe there were a couple of cucumbers. When I unwrapped it I thought it was just a loaf of bread.
