This location experienced some serious ownership changes and now we have Bundow Boba. Location is great, next to martial one, C2 tutoring center, gym, and a spa, not far away from trader Joe. Kiddos and I dropped by after a tutoring assessment session next door. The store comes with a strong smell... it smells like a fast food store. Orders are placed on a tablet. My kids were able to do it on their own. We got a boba tea and an egg waffle. There is a claw machine (with good toy options) on site. Food takes a long time though for a fast food joint.... 10 min and a bit more. Stuff was good. Not too much artificial flavor chemical secret weapon. Like many others, I was sad to see eggettes close. Saw this place open in place and decided to give it a try. You can still see remnants of eggettes in the shop. They definitely have a pretty big menu. Ive tried their reg milk tea, protein milk tea, and PBJ milk tea. Milk tea was like good, standard milk tea. Their honey boba is really good. Was surprised to see the protein milk tea. Was kind expecting to taste of protein to be overwhelming, but surprisingly it's decent. They have reg milk tea flavor, matcha, and taro. Not sure if they are using the boba flavor protein powder you see on Instagram, but it does the job. Like the person helping me out, it taste 80% like a reg drink. Made another visit to Bundow Boba to give them another shot. We enjoyed their freeze last time so thought it would be a perfect for the warm weather. We got a honeydew guava freeze and their pandan bubble waffle. The freeze was good. I enjoyed the creamy texture. The bubble waffle was so much better than last time. I always order Jasmine milk tea with zero sugar at every boba shop to try their tea flavor and if the boba was marinated in brown sugar syrup. The Jasmine tea at bundow was alright. Nothing out of the ordinary. However the boba needed more work. It was not well marinated in brown sugar syrup. It was on the bland side. Hopefully the owner can work on drenching the boba in lots of thick brown sugar syrup before serving. Bundow Boba has taken over Eggettes in this busy strip plaza. Not much parking, but I was able to get street parking across the street. The employees, Neil & Chelsea (most likely the owners) were friendly and welcoming. I ordered the jasmine milk tea with boba at 50% sweetness. Honestly, when I first got my drink, it was not sweet enough and tasted a bit watery. The boba was on the chewier / softer side though. As I was leaving, Neil asked how I liked my drink and offered to remake it, which I appreciated. Bundow has taken over the beloved Eggettes staple in Millbrae, but it thankfully still tastes pretty good. I got the honeydew milk tea with boba tasted pretty good, and the worker also offered to adjust the sweetness if it was off. My son would want to visit Chelsea and Neil all the time because they are so nice and they make the place so kids friendly. The ambiance is spacious and clean. Their popcorn chicken is legit! Super crispy and crunchy; lots of big pieces! The seasoning is just right. Stopped in here to grab a snack and drinks. After trying their honeydew milk tea - immediately the taste transported back to my college years where it was reminiscent of a milk tea spot I used to frequent my studying at. We got plain a black milk tea with boba, strawberry freeze and a plain bubble waffle. They were not offering popcorn chicken at the time. Black milk tea at 70% sweet was still too sweet. Tea flavor wasn't very strong. Couldn't taste the tea over the sweetness. Boba was a bit tough inside. Strawberry Freeze was still too sweet at 50%, even for the kids. No split cup but they gave an extra empty cup for us to pour ourselves. Overall ok. No restrooms for customers. read more

I was in the area for work, and was really craving boba. This place has been heavily renovated from the previous store and seems like its under new ownership. I can't speak for how the place used to be, but I was served by the new owner. He was super chill, and was attentive and helpful when I was deciding what to try. He had a couple of sample drinks to try and it definitely helped me decide what to order. I ended up getting a strawberry mango matcha latte, a popcorn chicken, and an egg waffle. The drink was honestly incredible, considering the price. It's literally 50% less than other boba prices in this day and age, and it actually tasted good. The popcorn chicken was also good; just what you'd expect from boba shops. I was given additional spice powder upon asking. And the bubble waffle was not like what some of the other reviews stated. Mine came out crispy on the outside, warm and fluffy on the inside. I think the other reviewers must have left it inside the container and sealed for too long and thus is why they're saying it's soggy. I did not experience any sogginess at all, as I ate it immediately, fresh out of the kitchen. I normally do not post Yelp reviews, but the owner was super chill to me the entire stay, making sure my drink was up to my level of expectations and offered to remake the drink if I wasn't happy. The additional spice powder on the side was also super nice of him to do; most of the other boba shops don't do that for me. In exchange for leaving a review of what I honestly think, the trade off was incredible service. I don't know how many people will even read this, but I hope my review helps out a small, family owned business. TL;DR: Way better quality than you'd expect boba, especially for the lower price compared to every where else. Service and attentiveness from owner was also greatly appreciated. read more

It's my first time to Bundow Boba since Eggettes closed. Both of the female employees happily greeted me when I walked in. I liked the refresh of the place with wall murals and a little fake grass and their business name in neon on the wall. I ordered a strawberry freeze with boba at 50% sweetness, which was my go-to order at Eggettes. Their version is creamy, but still good. One of the employees told me that they didn't have enough honey boba but asked if it was ok to add some crystal boba. No problem with me! When I got the drink, she told me to try it to ensure that the taste and sweetness was ok. Great customer service! Speaking of customer service, the employees offered coloring paper and a cup of crayons to a few kids that were with their family. I was shopping at the Safeway Millbrae and saw a coupon on the back of the receipt for a new Boba place. I decided to give it a try and it has now become my new favorite spot. I had the chocolate egg waffle and a sparkling Bundow Bliss! Both were delicious. I have come back a few times and I keep ordering the same thing. Next time I will try something new. The flavor is just right and doesn't have that weird artificial taste to it. Most of all, the customer service is the best. We ordered the egg waffles It was okay. Not crispy enough. The owners are husband and wife. They don't know the trick. Needed to air out the waffle to make it crispy. The drinks were okay. I ordered sesame black mt. It tasted like the old school dessert sesame paste. Recommend the owners to come up with some signature drinks to attract more customers. read more
