They are very thorough and especially conscientious about the adoption process for the animals in their care. They also have an amazing boarding facility which takes great care of bunnies while families are away on vacation. I feel safe about bringing in my bunnies in for boarding and grooming and never have to worry about them while I'm away. I've brought my bunnies in for their 'Hoppy Hour' where owners can bring their bunnies in for fun and socializing. Bunny Bunch are the best. The way they take in our small fur friends and take care of them until someone either takes them or until it's their time. Anyone who would do research for this knows they're non-profit and have very friendly staff who are always up to chat about the hops in your life. Their groomers are wonderful as well. So far I've adopted two bunnies from them and both have very feral with equal sweetness qualities. I love them all enough to get salmonella for the rest of my life, not that that's what I want. Caroline is pretty busy as she's the main contact for everything but she does a great job responding when questions arise. Not to mention how awesome it is all fur creatures come already spayed/neutered. Takes the worry out of all that madness. And vaccinated. The stories that come out of these bunnies are really what's worth taking care of them while you can. I adopted my new best friend Atlas yesterday evening, and Victoria was so kind to set up an appointment after typical business hours to accommodate my time constraint. She introduced me to all of the bunnies available for adoption, helped me meet all of the buns who caught my eye, and answered any and all of my questions with patience and understanding. The adoption process was smooth, but let it be known that Bunny Bunch is very particular -- AS THEY SHOULD BE -- about who their adoptees may be and the homes that their bunnies will go to. They care so much about these bunnies who have lived difficult lives up until they came to Bunny Bunch, which is why they require pictures of your setup, exercise area, and supplies in the application. You will likely speak to Caroline through email and/or text in response to your application. They will also give you a call to go over your application and discuss any potential changes that you might need to make. They give constructive criticism with only the best intentions for their buns, which I hope that prospective adoptees can understand :) I had my last bunny for 11 wonderful years yet I still learned a few new things from Victoria! The boutique inside is also wonderful, with very fair prices on supplies and a great selection! This is the most amazing place I've ever seen in my life. A sanctuary for all the forgotten pets that people buy like they are toys since they are so little and give them away once bored . A sanctuary for critters. A beautiful clean and great smelling facility. For having so many bunnies piggies and chins this place smells only of clean hay. Each enclosure was properly maintained and all the staff were so kind and helpful. I was able to adopt a 2 year old chinchilla and the process was smooth and informative and I can tell they really care. Since I got all my supplies and cage there they were able to make sure the chinchilla was going somewhere that had what it needed and a good size cage. To the people getting mad when they can't take in more animals , this isn't some huge government run operation , it's a woman and volunteers helping out of the kindness of their heart with the space available to them. Please let's stop abandoning pets not being mad when a rescue is full. Like yuck why are so many people abandoning their critters !!!! This place deserves our support. read more

I highly would not recommend this place, they were not helpful at all, nor do they give you a encouraging feeling to help you adopt a bunny! I came in here with my boyfriend and we wanted to adopt a bunny for my previous bunny that I've had for over 10 years. The customer service here is not welcoming as well! I wanted my 100th review to be something special and close to my heart and this just seemed like the perfect time to write a review about a place we now visit at least a couple times of month. My wife initially heard about this place a few weeks after we adopted a set of lop ear black/white rabbits from a friend who had a litter. We knew almost nothing we realized about keeping rabbits in the house happy and healthy. That all changed the day we walked into the bunny bunch!! The people working there are so knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and passionate about rabbits (and other small furry critters). We learned everything about caring for our rabbits from diet, litter box training, grooming and even how to pick up and hold them properly! We were going there so much that we soon fell in love with a pair of rescue bunnies that we brought home as well to bring our lop ear count to 4! We got a great vet recommendation along with helpful tips to get one of our bunnies through a GI stasis illness, neutering and rebonding our black and whites after the hormones made them angry at each other. Now we just needed to get our 2 sets bonded together. Carolyn was our savior for that daunting task. 10 days at her home and we got our family of 4 back in one pen! If you already have one you can bring it in to see if it will bond with the adoption bunny. They do boarding, sell treats, hay, toys, and anything a bunny might like. Bunny Bunch Rabbit Rescue is great. We adopted our sweet girl, Arwen (who was rescued from a shelter), from them. Though it did get busy at times, Caroline was very patient and managed to answer all of our questions regarding bunnies, the adoption process, etc. She was even available via text which was super convenient. I adopted my hairless guinea pig one day ago, and so far I have had a phenomenal experience. I went to their Fountain Valley shop yesterday, Monday, in Orange County, and I adopted my hairless guinea pig, Bean. My Guinea pig, also named Bean!, had four separate dates with four of their available male guinea pigs. According to one of the employees, none of the dates went well. But I was determined to bring home a guinea by the end of the day. I spoke with Caroline, the owner, and have been in contact with her the past several days. She informed me about adopting a guinea pig and having both guinea pigs live in separate homes for the month so that they can learn to coexist, learn each other's smell, & love each other. I thought this was a super great idea, and I ended up choosing one of the two guinea pigs who didn't bring out the most extremely negative behaviors in each other. So far, my new guinea pig has opened up a lot!- he is very vocal (& he was silent while in the shop, though they shared a very small story about his history, where his family just couldn't care for him) I was there for at least two hours...meeting all of the guinea pigs and taking my time as I chose the perfect one. I think that the two women who helped me were very knowledgeable, patient, and kind while I slowly made my choice. I would definitely recommend this establishment and I wish I were into bunnies because it looks like they have a lot of available bunnies for adoption! read more

When I brought my buns for boarding, he claimed my female bun was overweight and lectured me about how I wasn't properly caring for them. I pointed out that my vet, with 30 years of rabbit experience, examined her days before and said she was in perfect health. Guy claimed my vet was wrong. He knows that vet is rabbit-savvy, because the vet's office sells some of their products. Lectures continued when I said they have banana for breakfast. I was evil for giving them so much sugary food! He finally shut up when I snapped that each bun gets one slice, the correct amount. On top of it all, the man can't add, and undercharged me! I actually corrected him, because I wanted no excuse for them to give me a hard time. Not that it matters. If you want to be treated with respect, go to Rabbit Rescue in Paramount. I now go there, despite it being 30 miles from my home compared to Bunny Bunch, which is only 2 miles away. I'd rather my hard-earned money go to an organization I can RESPECT, rather than one that dishes out LACK OF RESPECT. Wow! This is the very first time we adopted and own guinea pigs. As fist we decided to go for a pair of baby guinea pigs. When we first stepped into their shelter, we were so shocked about the number of rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchilla need to be rescued. On top of that, they are all healthy, active, and look like they been feeding well. Timothy, the husband of the founder, provided us some very useful information about how to take care of the babies. And he didnt allow us to adopt the 3rd guinea rightaway because he told us they need to check if those 3 would be able to live together. So we decide to come back one week after that. Then one week passed, we came back and had his wife help us to pair those 3 and she provided us more information about how to get them know each other better when they come home. Overall, i would love to give them 6 stars if possible. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and they have lot of needed stuff that can keep your pets happy. read more

We surrendered our 3 bonded rabbits here. After getting married I found out my new husband was deathly allergic to them when he was hospitalized our first day in our new house. I bought a hutch outside lined it with hay for them and they could go inside of it and they had a section of yard to roam in for over a year. They dug tunnels to stay cool but had escaped a few times and it worried me sick. I wanted them to live indoors and never be separated and live like they used to before we moved. I didn't want to give them up but I knew they deserved better than living outside. I just wanted them to be happy. They were so tame and loving and were beautiful and highly adoptable. Giving them up was hard. My 9 year old daughter and I cried our eyes out for weeks but was promised updates on their adoption and life which made the process less traumatic. I never got any updates. When I would ask I felt like I was a burden and Just received one text saying "they are fine" and that was it. I searched their website, IG and Facebook for months (I still search) trying to see if they were adopted and they were never ever posted on the sites. I still don't know what happened to my babies and it's been 7 months and it still drives me crazy. I sit up at night wondering if they are ok and if they were separated. I didn't want them to ever be separated. She even posted bad about me online saying my bunnies were left out as coyote food while people bashed me in comments. It was disgusting and my daughter still cries and wonders what happened to them. It breaks my heart that we will never know. Now I see these reviews online about bunnies being crammed in a smelly warehouse in their own poo and I am just sick about it. Are my bunnies there?! We loved those bunnies so much and took amazing care of them despite them living outdoors. It was unfortunate circumstances but by no means we're we terrible people and owners as we were portrayed online. This situation was heartbreaking. Not what I expected. read more

I usually only write positive reviews, but I am still thinking about my experience hours later.....so here goes.... This place has a great selection of rabbit supplies: such as hay, dried treats, beds & etc. The prices are better than any local pet store and I like that the sales goes to help the bunnies. They will trim rabbit nails for free or for a donation. We came here today to trim our baby buns' nails. First, the girls kept telling me my bun was tiny and probably only 4 weeks old, not 12-13 weeks as I told them. They said that my rabbit was incredibly small unless it was a Holland lop....well yes, he's a Holland lop. They went on and on for 10 minutes about how tiny he was....ok I get it. He was the runt, let's move one. They did a good job on trimming both my buns' nails, hence the 2 stars. They asked if we wanted a gender check to which I said sure. I regretted it shortly after. Caroline came out and asked where we got the rabbits. We said a breeder...to which she was openly irritated by. We felt very judged. She lectured us about the care of our rabbit and spoke to us like we were 5 years old. I had my 3 year old with me as well. He was excited and talking to our bunnies....to which she replied "You are being a little too loud. You are going to scare the bunnies. Maybe I should put you in a pen like them" honestly uncalled for. He was not yelling. Merely excited and talking about our rabbit. My husband and I walked him out and we will never bring him back. I feel the friendliness and knowledge of the staff is hit or miss. The first time I went, everyone was wonderful, but I did not deal with Caroline. If you have rabbits, you should definitely check them out. I sincerely hope your experience is better than mine. However, I don't recommend bringing young kids here. Although, I'm sure kids would love to see all the bunnies, they do not seem to appreciate the joy, excitement and laughter that small children bring into the establishment. read more

I used to come here to get my bunnis nail clipped and had the owner help me with cutting hair.. she I s really helpful. But after a while it was hard to make apt. And it felt like she didn't have time for giving services. I asked if they needed help. For volunteering she said yes but only to scoop poop. My Mr. Pebbles passed away this past weekend from a thymoma that has been growing in his respiratory system. He has grown up with the Bunny Bunch family since he was a baby so I wanted to thank you guys for everything you've done for us. I took him in for nail trims and bunny sitting and he even tried going on bunny dates there. I've learned from Bunny Bunch how to give my Pebbles the best possible life he could have. I wish I could post a positive review, I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately ,this place is so unorganized and after giving Caroline a try I will not be taking my 2 guinea pigs back! My family & I went out of town and left our boys for 2 nights at Bunny Bunch OC. I was told by Caroline I would get a video or pictures. I asked when I dropped them off & I was told I would get them later. I called & texted Caroline for 2 days to check on my 2 boys and I was told she could not forward the video to me because the app wasn't working. Finally, the day I picked up the boys I get the video. I had paid for a full grooming of my piggies and they only trimmed the nails. I called on Saturday to get information regarding the grooming & I was told I would get a called at the end of the day but never did! So sad! read more

I came to the bunny bunch because my husband and I wanted to adopt a companion for our female rabbit. All the staff there were friendly. I liked how the bunnies were housed because it made it easier to choose. A plus that they offer is that when you adopt a bunny you get a free exam at an outside clinic. My only issue with the bunny bunch is that they don't have their bunnies examined before adopting them out. I was not informed that at the time of adoption about this and assumed everything was ok with my bunny. Although the contract you sign says "you agree you can financially care for the bunny" it's something you don't anticipate right away which happened in my case. Luckily the treatment for our adopted bunny wasn't too bad (an expense I didn't anticipate right away) otherwise I would have been put in a very uncomfortable situation. When I spoke to them about this they stated, " unless the rabbit has anything noticeably wrong then they are not examined". In short my feedback to them, was that they get their bunnies examined prior to adoption therefore the new owner isn't thrown off. read more

Can't say enough good things about the staff here. After our bunny passed away earlier this year, we have just recently decided that we are ready to offer a home to another rescue (not sure if it will be a bunny, chinchilla, or guinea pig yet). We had looked online and researched the Bunny Bunch for awhile, and really support the cause (we adopted our late bunny from the SSPCA and one of our guinea pigs from a rescue). The location itself is in this...storage facility place? Not sure exactly what it's called, but they have an office at the front door, and their rescue animals are in the back. They have many different types of bunnies, from lionheads to lops and everything in between. To my surprise, they also have guinea pigs and chinchillas! All of these animals need a good home, and the Bunny Bunch makes sure that the adopters are chosen well for the rescues via an application process (and I think a home visit as well). They also have a store. After going to a few adoption events and learning about independent places from which to buy supplies like hay, pellets, and even treats, I am now going to buy from these places and not from the pet store. Not only do they have high quality products that are better than store brands, they are also often cheaper as well! It makes me sad that I am leaving them a low rating, but the correspondence from this place is terrible. I've sent them a message thru Yelp, PetFinder, filled out an application on their website, texted a few times, and briefly chatted with someone once, then never heard from anyone again. I completely made it clear which two rabbits that we were interested in, and nothing. Radio silence. If they weren't happy with our application or the pictures of our home, which we sent to them, then I wish that they would have been upfront from the start rather than keeping our hopes up (for months) saying that they would check on the temperament on those rabbits and just radio silence... In the meantime we got ourselves a wonderful rabbit who has happily been a big part of our home, spoiled as heck and free-roaming as they had wanted. Came to get my buns nails trimmed, and decided to grab some hay while I was at it since we were pretty low. Let me tell you their hay is such a great deal and my buns absolutely love it, I'm talking neck deep in their hay bag eating it LOL. Also had a large selection of chews, toys and treats! It's like bunny heaven, and the curbside pickup was so efficient. They ask that you provide a confirmation that your bunny is vaccinated and then take them inside to be groomed. The woman that assisted me gave me more information and help on the state of my buns nails since she pointed out that he had pretty long quicks. I wish I had gotten her name as she was so helpful! We will definitely be coming back for more grooming, hay and toys! read more
