Their prices are affordable and the hay bale quality is phenomenal. Whoever their supplier for hay does a really good job. We've been to rabbit rescues for hay in the past but the hay quality was horrible and more expensive. We had horrible experiences in the past with other rabbit rescues when the hay had fox tails in it which led to vet visits because the fox tails would get stuck in my rabbit's eyes and nose. At The Feed Barn, we've never had an issue with finding fox tails in the hay. The owner is also very friendly and welcoming. We love coming back!

Not sure what happened during and after COVID, but they no longer exist? The Central Valley Pet & Reptile Expo, which is presented by a herpetological organization, has been held annually at the OC Fairgrounds as of now. In hindsight, this organization always had a setup at America's Family Pet Expo as well. I was aware that this expo was reptile focused, but their website mentioned that other pets would be there so my family and I decided to check it out this year. They were held on April 12 (Sat) and 13 (Sun), and we went on the 12th. Tickets were $15.00 for 13+ and $10.00 for 4-12. I got the family 4-pack for $46 online (applicable to 4 adults), which was cheaper than buying 4 individual tickets. Parking was $12 or $15? The venue was unexpectedly small, just in the Anaheim building, OC Promenade, and Los Alamitos building, which faces Lot I and Lot G, off of Newport Boulevard. The Anaheim building was filled with reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, and such. The OC Promenade had about four animal shelters as well as avian and small pet rescues, and the Los Alamitos building had some more reptiles and other vendors. Three out of the four shelters brought dogs/puppies so as a dog lover (and owner of two dogs), my heart strings were pulled so hard. We finished looking at everything within an hour. Maybe hour and half tops. So yes, I do feel like we paid a lot...but I have hopes that every year more pet shelters and rescues will want to get involved so it will be bigger and better.
