This is a great sit down burger joint. The burgers are made fresh and they call your buns up when they are ready. The kids love this and get s kick out of their buns being called up. Then you have the add on bar. You build your burger to suit your desire. They also have Texas tea to choose from in the drink fountain area. I particularly love the peach tea. The kids really like the blueberry tea. They have really fixed the place up and is very nice. The 4 star is for the lack of service. We needed a high chair for my little one and asked where to find it. We were looked at funny. It took them a bit but they helped us eventually. It was not really busy either. Also they have good tea flavors but in the restaurant they charge you twice as much for a tea and they all taste like they are a couple days old. I love their tea bar, especially the mint tea. This burger shop reminds me of Fuddruckers, but it is a local business and not as expensive. I am picky about my onion rings, and I like theirs. I've personally worked at this particular one, and I was appalled with the way the staff was treated and how unsanitary the food prep was. The owner Gary was nice, but his wife was a complete racist and treated us like a bunch of ungrateful animals. Even the interaction with guests was rude and inconsiderate. She wouldn't look people in the eye during handshake, and said a lot of us didn't "fit in" with the store's image because we may have had piercings or colors in our hair. She even reffered to some of the help as "the Mexicans", and didn't call us by name on occasion. Even complained about shorts being too short when they were down to our knees and it was 105 outside. People were also grabbing things by hand in the walk in refrigerator and eating it, very rarely washing hands when we were doing food prep, and jut plain being disgusting during shifts. The food was alright and we busted ass doing everything by hand for 7.25, but I refuse to give any money to people that are going to treat their employess with such disrespect and prejudice. read more

I live in Amarillo and I frequent this place when I want good cheese fries. Sadly enough my last experience was less than acceptable. The service was fine at first when the girl named Stacey R. was taking our order. She was nice and very attentive, though, when our order came out we happened to be missing an order of cheese fries, which we brought to the attention of a different girl because Stacey was busy. She looked at our ticket and said she would get those right out. We went to sit down and enjoyed our meal, all the while waiting for that order...it never came. I had my boyfriend run and check on them and the same lady, once again, said they were waiting on them and "they would be right out". A total of about 30 minutes had passed from when we'd asked about them the first time, and I was done waiting because my friends were all finished eating. I was frustrated and went to the counter and asked the gentleman up there if I could just get that order of cheese fries in a to-go box. He looked me blank in the face and said, "I don't know what you're talking about." In the most rude tone I have ever heard. He just continued staring at me. I said that I had been waiting on an order of cheese fries for too long, and he asked to see my receipt. In the amount of time it took me to find it, Stacey and the other girl were whispering at the cash register looking for my receipt on their record, turns out we "didn't pay for two cheese fries"...and says the number 2 on my receipt stands for "2 people". In response, I said, "that would have been lovely to know the first two times we asked about them" and were LIED to about them "coming right out". We could have just put in an order and paid for them so I could enjoy the food I had been waiting on the entire time, whilst being reassured they "would be right out". Does Buns just say that to everyone inquiring about their food without actually checking to see if it was ordered and paid for? If you need to check a receipt and make sure someone has paid for something they're waiting for, check it THE FIRST TIME THEY ASK and don't lie. Worst customer service I've had at a restaurant in a very long time and I won't be returning! I will also be telling everyone about the bad service. There wasn't a manager to be found and everyone working was well under 20 years old. I don't recommend it anymore. read more
