I hired him for a check up on a used Yamaha U3 that I recently purchased that also desperately needed tuning. He is very friendly, informative and knowledgeable. Tuned my piano and made some minor adjustments on the action along the way and only charged me the flat fee he said he would charge for tuning. Messaged Total Piano Care and tried to get them to come out before the concert the same day and fortunately there was enough time in between clients to squeeze us in. Came by and was extremely polite and professional, examined the piano, answered all of my relevant and not so relevant questions thoroughly and thoughtfully, and saw the problem was minor and got the piano working for the concert! Watching him work, there was no doubt he was extremely familiar with the Steinway and worked with many Steinway Grands. Knew about all of the things that were wrong and recommended a few minor repairs to prevent further damage. So happy it worked out with Total Piano care. Great communication and caring too! In case he wasn't able to come out in short notice, he even referred me to another company. Thankfully he came by and based on my experience, I can't refer you to anyone better.
