Nice welcoming restaurant with a roomie parking lot. Was greeted and sat immediately. Food and drink recommendations on point. Honestly one of the best spots for lemon drop and dirty martinis. Food arrived promptly with a great presentation. I had the lamb chops, my fiancé had the tortellini with ham and peas and my daughter had pasta with shrimp. Food was phenomenal and a very generous amount that I was able to take home and enjoy it for lunch the next day. Since it was my birthday we all had dessert gelato, chocolate lava cake and crème brûlée. Also on point and super large portion easily we could have shared one. Definitely coming back! Ps: Only posting one picture since the rest are with my family :)

So glad we came back to Antonio's in Itasca as it now has new(ish) owners. The chef that has been here for 25 years now is one of the owners! I love it when the Chef comes out to speak to his diners and we had a delightful conversation. The other owner Johnathan also was here and took excellent care of us. We tried one of the specials Scallops Dijon and it came out hot and delicious. Soup or salad is included. The salad was crisp, fresh and child with a tangy balsamic vinaigrette dressing! One of us had the Tilapia Francese which was a very generous portion with perfect lemon sauce. 5 lamb lollipops with perfectly seasoned Potatoes with garlicky sautéed spinach were quickly devoured. Tartufo with lemon sorbet was a perfect ending. Alahandro made a mean martini with friendly conversation at the bar! Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner we know we will be back. Can't wait for the summer to return as they have a really nice and large shaded patio.

Do they offer any vegan dishes? We are planning a dinner with friends who are vegans.

They do have some meat free offerings, but some may include cheese.

The name is Undici Gelato in Itasca. The owner, whose name is Antonella, spent years with top chefs to create the most perfect Gelato. The flavors change by the week and are all made with fresh fruits and creams. Nothing is artificial. I had been here many months ago as a suggestion from a friend to try their out of this world Gelato. I again was contacted by a subscriber who told me that I needed to try their new shakes made with fresh gelato. They said it will blow my mind with how good it is. I arrived at around 4 o'clock on a Friday. I sat at the bar area of Undici. I spoke with Antonella for quite some time. She is such a wonderful and friendly owner. I could not wait to try this shake that she had in store for me. I opted to get my shake as a malt. The shake consisted of fresh strawberry gelato. When I tell you, I took my first sip and it took everything in me not to chug the entire shake right then and there. You could taste the fresh strawberries. You could also taste the high-quality cream. It was like drinking pure silk. It was so creamy and smooth, one if not the best shake I've ever had in my life. I had to get one to bring home to my wife so she could also try this confectionery masterpiece. The price of this super high-quality shake was only six dollars. It blew my mind. There is another shake and location literally a block away from here that I did a review on. They were charging $14 for a shake that could not hold a candle to the flavour and quality of this shake. As I sat and talked with Antonella, enjoying my shake, she also told me she had another drink that she was introducing to the menu. It was what she called an Italian spritzer that she wanted me to try. The drink before I tasted it looked so beautiful and refreshing. I took my first sip and it took me back to when I was in Italy. The flavours were a subtle orange with hints of citrus. It was a wonderful and refreshing drink to have on a summer day. I cannot stress enough that all of you need to go here for the best in Gelato. The quality and flavor is like nothing you've ever had. Follow her on Facebook where she updates her flavors weekly. Undici is open at 4 o'clock on Fridays to close. It is also open on the weekends. Check hours before showing up. I never recommend a place without my stamp of approval. Check Undici Gelato out and you can thank me later. I rate Undici in Itasca a 9.3 out of 10.

Fortunately Amorino Gelato is one of the better ones that I've run across. The decor here definitely looks much more elegant than the average frozen treat restaurant, with the different gelatos displayed in clean looking cases and premium machines visible making drinks. The menus and signage is all very elegant looking -- though the print on them is small enough it can be difficult to read at times. I really appreciate how the overall restaurant is colorful with food and signage, but is elegant rather than tacky. I do wish there was a bit more seating here, as the business gets rather busy but you may have to compete for somewhere to sit and enjoy your treat. The food unsurprisingly is very good. The gelato flavors are distinct with clean and fairly bold flavors made with good quality ingredients. I also tried the waffle here which was fairly light, crisp, and enjoyable. They are very generous with samples here and I enjoyed every flavor that I tried. Prices are fairly reasonable compared to similar establishments. Overall, worth a visit if you need a sweet treat within Woodfield Mall, particularly if you're looking for gelato in a rose shape in a cone.

So the space here is mostly taken up with pizza boxes and a long food service table, with a narrowish aisle to order your food / desserts. They have meatballs; various pizza slices and whole pizzas (unlike the new place next door, they'll serve you slices all day); lasagna and manicotti. There are other things but I'm a vegetarian so I zone out the minute I see "sausage." Vegetarian? They default to a marinara red sauce and vegetable is one of the default slices. I didn't see eggplant parmesan on the menu, but they told me if I ask for it (advance notice would be helpful) they'll make it. Entrees are served hot. The manicotti and lasagna are delicious; the manicotti is not a big pan but a take-out container with two manicotti rolls; will feed one hungry person but wouldn't be enough for two people. Service is still friendly although the space is now a little cramped. The cake and gelato, etc. are still delicious, so I stand by everything I said about dessert in my earlier review.

For an appetizer, I ordered the oven roasted octopus, and I highly recommend it. The marinade really brought out the flavor of the octopus, and I was impressed by how tender it was. Octopus can easily become rubbery if not prepared properly, but the texture here was soft and perfectly cooked. For my main course, I had the lobster ravioli. While the sauce was rich, creamy, and delicious, I was a bit disappointed that there weren't any noticeable chunks of lobster in the filling. We also ordered the Schaumburg pizza. I loved that all of their pizzas are cooked in a stone oven. I'm usually not a big fan of crust, but this was an exception. The flavors were well balanced, not overly sweet from the barbecue sauce, with just the right amount of savory flavor from the bacon. Everything worked together beautifully. Overall, the entire dining experience was excellent. From the food to the atmosphere, it was a very enjoyable meal. I can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu.

I would recommend this place to everyone. The part that may be my preference or maybe I am right. The crust.... From what I expected it was supposed to be bubbly airy soft crust. Maybe a lil char on the outside. This is not what I had gotten. Now looking thru the photos here I believe I am right. My pizzas felt like a flat breadstick on the rims. And just blatantly flopped over when picking up a slice. There was 0 crisp or crunch in the outter rims. Now again I could be wrong and if this is how it is.... It still gets 4 stars. Ingredients are really good. I will be back. Tip is I would not suggest a lot of toppings as you will just make a big mess picking up a slice.. or eat it with a fork I guess.
