First time eating here and it was amazing. The food was still warm and fresh after a 20min drive home. Customer service was amazing all around the board. Server forgot our cheese cups but realized after giving us our bag and also gave us a free cookie for the inconvenience. A little expensive, but the food quality was worth every bite. It's been 5 months since my last review but I thought I should do an update and I still give 5 stars. I have been a consistent customer since day one because it's very important local businesses are supported. Over the period I've had pretty consistent food but I've had a couple hiccups also. Each time I visit, I complete a C/S survey which can be found online. I provide honest and direct feedback regarding my service and food experience. There has not been one time I didn't receive a response regarding my reviews that weren't so good. Consistent feedback makes it even better. My vote is still for the Turkey Ciabatta with extra tomatoes and Red onions, it is so good. I also enjoy the beef, burgers and pizza from time to time. It has been awhile since I was at Burma Beef but boy was it worth the wait. I had The Anthony Rizzo 7" of pure heaven with mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce, paired it with some perfectly prepared fries and a drink. Awesome. It was so good I went back the next day. Six stars. Food is sill amazing. The Italian beef here is beyond mind blowing. It's so much better than Al's and you get so much more. With a little mozzarella, it is absolutely delicious to the next level. I got my beef baptised and it was the bomb. Next time is mozzarella and red sauce. This place makes wonderful Italian beef. If you are a fan of the beef, this location will NOT dissapoint. Fries are also delicious. Very crispy, perfect salt. I prefer Buona to both Portillo's and Al's. It's Friday evening and thinking about what's for dinner?? We decided to go to Buona Restaurant because of the variety and something for all age groups. This was our first visit and it was a beautiful evening. People were eating outside, the drive through was busy and so we entered we decided to eat in. We were acknowledged right away and the person who took our order explained the menu and offered suggestions. We got the 5 inch beef value meal with mild pepper and mozzarella cheese which was perfect and just enough! Pizza for the little one which came with fruit.and a kids apple juice. I enjoy their food so much I probably eat there 3 to 4 times a week. The inside is very clean they tables are at a good distance and the food is real good. They have some new items and I love their minestrone soup. They just got a new chicken breast that they grill fresh it's very tasty and not dried out. read more

I came to Buona on 19801 Crawford Ave 708 991-7300 on 09/26/22 about 2:30pm. My aunt and I order a beef sandwich her dipped and mines was supposed to be dry, but was not. First of all, I did not appreciate Rome the cashier calling my aunt D. She is a senior and she did give him her full name. He totally disrespects her. Secondly, when I told him my sandwich is dipped and I ask for dry. He tells me I did not ask for dry, in which he was not telling the truth. I did not like his tone with me or my aunt. He was rude and impolite. I hope this has nothing to do with me being an African American. You treat people the way you like to be treated. No matter who they are. This restaurant is new and exciting!!! I love the set up of this restaurant. They have different specials every day. I went on a weds so I tried the burger and fry special for $5.50. The burger was very good. Fresh ingredients and fries were great as well. I will be back to try the Italian beefs very soon. I just wasn't in the mood for one yesterday. Staff is friendly although it is a lot of teens that work there. I would like to see a mix of mature and young working. That's just a personal preference. I will be back to try other menu items. My 1st time at Buona beef anywhere, happen to be in Flossmoor. I ordered a beef sandwich at drive thru, I asked girl at drive thru window how much were peppers she said free, when I pulled around to pay for my order I asked why it was more 2nd girl said peppers was 75c. I told her other girl said were free, she said no. I said i wasnt paying for pepper i know what girl told me. she asked me to pull up manager came out, I explained to him 1st girl told me peppers were free and 2nd girl said were not. The manager told me quote "No she didnt" basically calling me a liar in my face. I am a 66 year old black woman I guess the they dont care about by business or customer service to me. Stopped by the one in Olympia Fields on Crawford...hadn't tried one of these overpriced dumps since I moved away from Oak Park 7+ years ago...figured they had to have improved in close to a decade. I come here time after time because it's close to my house and I know the company is fully capable of producing quality food HOWEVER this specific location is PATHETIC!! I asked for a well done burger, got home and I still see pink. About a month ago, I ordered my son a cheese pizza, opened the box and it was pepperoni. I love coming here and dining inside all the time but then I have ordered to go since I'm so tired from work and decided to take home my sandwich . I ordered 7 inches Italian beef but then when I get home it's so tiny that it measured 5 inches . I called the restaurant but then they insisted that it's 7 inches , so seriously they want me to come back and to returned the sandwich and they will replaced it . I'm so tired and of course I won't go back there to insist of getting the right kind a size sandwich I have ordered and pay . I have ordered food from them via Uber Eats a few times and they ALWAYS forgot my drink. On two occasions I had to reorder the drink separately just to ensure they wouldn't forget it since the drivers always ask questions when told they had nothing for them. One driver even told me she almost fought them at the drive thru when they said they had nothing for her. I thought this was a temporary problem, but I decided to give them another chance a few months later after the first 3 orders. But guess what! Same issue! Clearly no change in staffing, management or system organization has occurred over the last few months and the same missing drink issue still exists. I advise to anyone ordering from this restaurant NOT to order drinks with your food. Order them separately or else they will skip it. Oh and they'll still charge you for the drink too unless you get through to Uber support. Note: No issues with the food. Only the item delivery. read more

My husband prefers another spot but my choice was Buona. Twice he has ordered a combo, beef and sausage for me and when he gets home, I have only Italian beef. The first time it happened I called the Flossmoor store and the sandwich was replaced with an apology. The second time I called and reported the mistake and a young lady took my name and order number and told me it would be replaced. Yesterday I stopped by the Flossmoor store and spoke with a young man. I explained what happened and was told that if I didn't have the receipt he couldn't help me. My first time at this location was not a positive experience. My fries were burnt and very over cooked, and the hotdogs were cold by the time I got home 2 miles away. It took a long time to get change back from my $20 bill because she closed the window before I could give her coins. The Buona Italian beef sandwich is awesome! But warning, the giardinera is very hot! You can add toppings to your Italian beef sandwich including sweet peppers, giardinera, and mozzarella cheese. You can also have the sandwich dipped or dry. The chopped salad is delicious. It's bacon, blue cheese crumbles, little noodles, tomatoes and the dressing is a creamy vinaigrette! Soo good. I really like the design of this location, nice, new and clean. The staff was nice, patient and informative. This was my first time visiting this chain so I ordered the 7inch beef submerged in gravy with provolone cheese. Well... The sandwich was more like drizzled in gravy and the cheese was barely noticeable on my sandwich. I had to go home and add more cheese. However, I did enjoy the chocolate chip cookies. If you like pepper this is the place. Burger was between rare and medium rare which is not good for a new place. Bun was greasy. I will give it a pass for now. Still would take portillos but at least this chain has more spice if you like pepper. Al's is the original beef and better. Fries at Al's in tinley also the best. read more
