Beef with hot peppers and cheese fries

Maybe the very best Italian beef sandwich ever. Ordered the Chicago way beef, hot peppers, plus cheese fries with an extra order of fries. Wonderful

The regular Italian beef with nacho cheese was very good but pricey for size. It was around $10 plus tax and I don't think the size is worth it. At least mine was not. A good part of my bread had no beef at all. The fries were good. Service was quick through drive thru.

Love the Rainbow Cone addition ! Drive through is fast and they always get your order correct! Dining room is clean and a friendly dining experience. A great addition to our community!

I always have a good experience at this location. I sometimes have to wait for food, but never more than 10 minutes. I love the crispy French fries. They are my favorite of all time! I love how much avocado they put on my burger. Staff is friendly and I have never had a complaint about the food!

I hadn't been to Buona in years and this was my first time at this location. Honestly, I wasn't that impressed with the Rosemont location so I didn't have high expectations when I stopped in for lunch one afternoon. I had a burger and my sister ordered a hot dog. We also had fries and drinks. My sister didn't like the hot dog at all. She said it had a weird after taste and definitely seemed like an off brand. She didn't eat it all for fear of getting sick. She also said that there was so much relish on the hot dog that the bun was soggy. The burger was okay, but nothing special. One thing I noticed was that the burger was larger than the bun so some of the beef hung over the bun. The fries were just okay. The restaurant had a nice crowd and the service was reasonably fast which was a plus. The atmosphere was quiet and inviting. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the electrical outlets placed near some of the tables is very convenient if you're dining in. I probably won't return to Buona anytime soon.

Buona restaurant in Flossmoor Illinois was not worth the time and health risk taking during this pandemic. After getting up enough nerves to go outside, I stopped by Buona to grab a quick meal. Because I like seeing the preparation of my meal and observing the cleanliness of the environment, I normally don't use the drive through. I order two pesto turkey sandwiches, one salmon sandwich, and an order of large fries. I asked for extra lettuce and sauce on the sandwiches. I also had a $5 coupon which I was not allowed to use. Bottom line, instead of turkey on my sandwich I got chicken . I called the manager, he explained that they were slicing the turkey a different way...blah..blah...blah. He wanted me to bring back the sandwiches which was no problem had we not been in a full-blown pandemic. Not worth the trip & health risk

The Buona Beef restaurant in Flossmoor is located in a good location with an ample amount of parking. The food is cooked fresh and has lots of flavor. I love the fries. The building its self is very contemporary and it's a clean establishment. On the other hand, the customer service needs improvement. When you ask the workers to add more ingredients, they don't listen and are very stingy. These sandwiches are very costly, so being stingy on lettuce peppers, and condiments is not an option. So the sandwiches are decent, but they are not worth the money when you can go to other restaurants and get more products for a cheaper price. Update: In May 2020 I ordered an 7" Charbroiled Sausage Sandwich. I can say that the food was very skimpy. You have to pay for cheese and sauce to be added. You can visit other restaurants in the area for the same prices and receive a better quality and portions of food. My sandwich was dry, small, and disappointing to say the least.

I came to this location today since I was running an errand at a nearby Target, and Buona is giving away an Italian Beef sandwich if you have the app. This location also has a Rainbow Cone truck conveniently next to it, so I was able to kill 2 birds with a stone. This place is super busy today because one they're giving away a sandwich but also because it's National Italian Beef Day. Having worked in retail before, I'm appreciative that the staff showed up to work and everything was running smoothly for the most part. It's a short wait to order, to get your food, and the drive thru is also busy. They even shut off the app orders. I ordered a regular beef with mozzarella cheese, giardinera, original way, and gutted (scooping out the bread, so it's kind of skinny and thinner than normal). I also ordered a crispy chicken sandwich on a lettuce bun since I was really curious how their chicken sandwich fairs, and I also didn't know they started offering lettuce buns so that's pretty cool. I ordered a regular fry and a bottle of water as well. I should've checked my order like open everything up before I left because my sandwich was made on a bun, even though my receipt said lettuce. It's not a deal breaker thankfully my yeast intolerance isn't as bad as my friends who have celiac. Mistakes happen, and I'm pretty sure it's not intentional since my beef was actually gutted. The chicken sandwich is delicious, so I will have to come back when it's not super busy to give them another chance. If I dined in, I will most likely have caught the mistake and asked if they could make it right. Since I didn't dine in, I didn't check, and I took it to go, it is what it is. I do recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for Italian Beef and rainbow cone ice cream.

Recently I've Chosen to follow a mainly Pescatarian Diet, so when Hubbysweetcheeks makes a request for me to pick him something up to eat at certain places, I am elated to find Plant Based fare on the menu. With that said, let me tell you about Buona Beef's Vegetarian Italian Beef, Oh my goodness!!!! That sandwich with the hot peppers is foot stomping, mmmmmmmmm invoking some kinda Delicious!!!! The stacked shaved layers of yummyliciousness is seasoned to perfection!!!!! Hat's off to Buona Beef for Being Inclusive on their Menu, I Love Italian Beef and now I can Enjoy it Again, without the sluggishness I used to encounter for indulging on such. Another place to add to my list when I don't feel like cooking. Stop by Buona and Try it, I'm telling you, you will most definitely enjoy it !!!!!

I was recently looking for some restaurants to try that are black owned. Saw a video that The Black…read moreFoodies did on this establishment so my friend decided to go here on 3/25/25. It's in Flossmoor, IL. I'm so happy to do this review on them. We went on a Tuesday and although I had in mind what I wanted to order from the regular menu, we arrived while their Happy Hour was still going on so we decided to take advantage of their tacos for Taco Tuesday and their guacamole. The guac and chips came out first. It looked so fresh and when I tasted it, the angels were singing! Delicious. Then came the tacos - I was surprised how big they were, filled up with good stuff. I had the steak and the chicken. Both were good but I liked the steak best. I had had a challenging workday so I treated myself to the Lemondrop Flight as I love lemondrop martinis. You can pick three from the flavors of original, passion fruit, watermelon, mango and strawberry. The presentation is beautiful in what they bring it in. Toya, one of the owners made it herself and she is definitely a good at making drinks. I enjoyed them immensely. This place is a total VIBE - small, intimate and cozy. They play R&B that takes you back to the 80s and 90s - we were thoroughly enjoying it. Many come in and sit at the bar where there are two large screen TVs. They also have a small outdoor seating when the weather is nice. We were really enjoying our time there. We had the best wait staff - Chris was super cool, engaging and just plain nice. He was informing us of all the events they have there which piqued my interest. Toya also came over and talked with us and I complimented her on the restaurant and promised her that I would definitely be back and would bring others. I have already posted about them on social media and many of my friends are planning on seeing what they offer. For dessert, I ordered the Turtle Cheesecake. I'm kind of a cheesecake snob because my late Mother made the best cheesecake. The presentation of their cheesecake was gorgeous. The caramel drizzle and nuts on it was inviting. One bite and I was SOLD! I was too full to eat the entire big slice they gave me so I worked on it some more when I got home. This place opened in 2023. I wish them the best because they definitely have something there. I can't wait to come back there, it's a place to come, relax, eat good food and enjoy the positive environment that there. Check out their weekly events, brunch and live entertainment on Saturdays. Thank you Poppin' Corks, A+!!

One of the first recommendations for a restaurant that I got when I moved to the Far South Suburbs…read morecame from a server at a breakfast spot that I had visited. She recommended Poppin Corks Bistro. I passed by several time, and being solo, I was looking to get a seat at the bar rather than in the main dining area. There has never been a time that I passed that there was a seat open at the bar, so I sat in the main dining area this one time. I ordered blackened catfish with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. This was a hit. It was full of flavor without going overboard with seasoning. And I appreciate that it was cooked to order. It made up for the cranberry juice being water with a "hint" of cranberry juice, an indication that it probably came from a tap. Service was top and one of the owners made rounds to check on customers. I may stop by again at some point in the future. It would certainly be a welcomed break when I am taking respite from cooking at home.

The restaurant is very large with good sound qualities. It wasn't too loud or echoing. The menu has something for everyone. The best part is they are accommodating. I have some very particular preferences and everything was received with positivity. Our food was delicious. The sweet potato fries are probably the best I've ever had! I also had a turkey burger which was seasoned nicely. It was quite delicious. Finally, the service was top notch!!!! Our waitress was outstanding!!!! She also helped me play an epic joke on my cousin. I'll definitely be back!!

Since I was solo, I sat at the bar. I wanted to start with spinach artichoke dip. There was none. So, I ordered carrot and black bean tacos. The tacos were a good backup. Those who lean towards vegetarian would like them. I must say that I was expecting some heat from the jalapeños. For my main dish, I had the shrimp and grits. It took a few swallows before the flavor kicked in. The sauce was tasty, but was maybe a notch above mildly seasoned. I have a feeling that the tomatoes in the recipe added a little acidity. With the addition of spinach, this dish landed in gourmet territory. From what I gather, the restaurant has been under new management for a few years. It feels like they are working out kinks. I will give them a few months before I try them again.

I'm not really gonna talk about the ambience, because for me it wasn't there, but that is not the basis of my scoring. The old-fashioned made by our waiter was good, excellent, perfect. We wanted a margarita, but they let us know that they did not have the materials needed to make it. They also did not have the ingredients to make a few starters and entrées on the menu so their limited menu became even more limited. The food, we ordered crabcakes, and a colossal honey glazed shrimp. The crabcakes came out and they were flat, they looked like what was supposed to be one crabcake broken into three. The shrimp came out and instead of having colossal shrimp we had small shrimp, maybe even baby shrimp. We addressed the concern with the shrimp and they said they're not going to charge us for it. With our pasta came a side salad, the salad and the salad dressing, which was a lemon vinaigrette, was good. When we received the pasta, there was only four pieces of sausage, the chicken was unseasoned and the sauce was cheese sauce with hot sauce added, no other seasoning. Nothing about the pasta was Nola.
