All four of our meals were very good. Eggplant parm, chicken Marsala, a chicken dish for the onion allergy and Bolognese with Gluten free penne. We had several allergies. One with Celiac and one with allergy to onions and garlic. They were very accommodating. I was looking for a nice place to take the misses out for dinner that had gluten free options and settled on Buano Sera. At first everything was great the atmosphere the smell, but the main reason is obviously dinner. Our server was pleasant describing specials and when we mentioned gluten free options the server said got you I'm gluten free too. We are thinking awesome. I had a cocktail and the wife had some wine. When the food came out however the pasta was wrong no biggie I get it sometimes things happen, but when it came out wrong again yeah my foods getting cold waiting for her to get her food. The server then said so sorry you want another wine with all this. Sure it's been what feels like forever and the server took my plate back I assumed for a fresh dish but it came back just tossed. I was a little floored when we received the bill and being charged for that second glass of wine. Interesting place. There were a lot of cars parked out on the dirt lot so we figured it had to be good. When we walked inside it was pretty empty. Very quiet inside. I don't think the set up was very good for the type of restaurant wants to be. Servers seemed hit and miss. The table next to us had a great server. Our severer couldn't even pronounce the menu items yet tell us much about them. Prices were high. Food was par. Just didn't feel it. Not saying don't go. Definitely try it out if you're interested. What a disappointment last night. Was so looking forward to trying this new restaurant. For starters, the wine poor is the worst I've ever experienced. If I have to ask for another ounce or two. My husband and I have had dinner here twice. First time was over the summer and just the two of us . Tonight we went with two of our sons. We will definitely be back. Everything we've had from appetizers, salads, bread boards, entrees and desserts, were nothing short of awesome deliciousness! Some people have told me it seems a bit pricey but the portions are extremely generous and almost everything on the menu is homemade on premises and it shows in the taste and presentation of the food. Second time in 2 weeks that we had dinner there. First time we went with another couple and sat in the bar area. Scott was our server (as well as bartender; he makes a killer old fashion) who was attentive and fun but also knew when to be more discreet. We all LOVED our dinners. The ingredients are so fresh and the dishes are creative and perfectly prepared. The very best French onion soup; creamy mushroom risotto topped with a delicious piece of salmon; short rib ravioli in a mushroom Demi glaze sauce with amazing scallops cooked to perfection. And Danielle's desserts are to die for. Daily specials are extensive and their happy hour (at the bar) is 20% off food and $2 off drinks. Last night the hubs and I sat at the bar, bantered with Scott and met Jimmy the chef/owner. Again our dinners and drinks were outstanding. And they have live music some nights! My food was good. Waited almost an hour for it. My friend's dinner, a fettuccine Alfredo with broccoli was $31. It was dry and she asked if she could have a little more sauce over it. The food and service were exceptional! We went for happy hour on a Thursday, a safe bet since it was a first visit and we did not have a frame of reference other than Yelp. We arrived to a full bar and reserved seats. We settled on a table near the bar which proved to give us great service and a great view. We started with the U10 scallops, prepared to perfection. A great buttery crust, tender and finished with a delicious sauce on a crostini. Hubby had the sausage pasta and broccoli rabe. This is a garlicky laden delight. The pasta was perfectly aldente, the sausage was tender and flavorful. The broccoli rabe added the flavor and combined it was outstanding. I vacillated between the chicken francaise and the bolognese but settled on the chicken. Which was a very wise decision. It was well prepared. Spaghetti was aldente, the chicken firm and the sauce was excellent. The portions were beyond generous. We decided to leave room for the carrot cake as it had rave reviews. It did not disappoint. The cake was moist, flavorful and the cream cheese frosting was outrageous. So good and highly recommend. I would not go again. It was very loud, hard to talk for a party of 6. Don't make reservations on Google, as they do not honor them. Luckily, even on a Saturday night in Saratoga Springs, they were slow enough to accommodate us. The drink I ordered was so strong, I could not drink it and I am usually not picky at all with drinks. I'm 22 years old in college, I'll drink just about anything but this was gross. It was a raspberry Arnold Palmer. I ordered a side salad and they only had their house dressing as an option, which was slightly disappointing but not the end of the world and not that uncommon for an upscale place. It was fine. For dinner, I ordered a special they had. Short-rib ravioli with scollops, mushrooms and pears in some kind of sauce. That was actually pretty good. The short rib was the weakest component and I requested no mushrooms which the waitress said she could accommodate but she forgot.
