I've had a great experience with Burbank Fireplace. They came on time and reviewed my covered patio fireplace because it was randomly emitting gas when the switch was off. They determined that the pilot ignition module was faulty and ordered the part. They returned a few days later with the part and replaced it! Part of the problem was that my fireplace was operating without lava rock in the tray just below the ceramic logs. Apparently lava rock helps to cool the unit that's underneath (Fire glass does not cool like lava rock). With lava rock and a new module, I'm good to go! I posted a previous review of a couple of companies that came out and wouldn't go on the roof to look at our chimney. Burbank (who had cleaned our chimney 3 years ago) came out the same day. They took one look and said "we have to go on the roof. There was a mesh wire covering at the top of the chimney that was full of soot. He cleaned it and the fireplace did. It smoke anymore. The whole thing cost $185. I felt like finally someone cared and went out and cleaned what needed to be cleaned. I wish I would have called them again from the start, but I couldn't find their number. My wife found an old invoice and we were able to reach out to them. I have been trying to get my two outdoor fireplaces repaired for about a year and a half. I had Armand's "Discount" come out to fix it last year. They charged me $730, and did not fix either fireplace. They actually made the problem worse. They pulled out the old wiring without leaving it to fish through the new wires. They said they couldn't reorder them because they don't make them any longer. I called Arthur at Burbank Fireplace and BBQ. I told him the year and model of the units. He ordered the wires that day, and 6 weeks later when the new wires came in Manny and Oscar came out to do the long anticipated repair. The task of repair was more difficult as they had to re fish the wires through that Armand's never should have pulled out. While remodeling I decided to replace our gas fireplace with a electric one loved the new look. Talked to 1 or two places to get ideas but Burbank fireplace was excellent with the way they explained in detail the types of the places and how to use them. They talked to my contractor and explained what was necessary for the opening area to prep and then their installers did the work. I got a slim line 80 inch electric fireplace to fit my area. My fireplace was not working and I called a repair guy in 2019 to come out before Covid, to see what was wrong. That guy told me I needed a bunch of parts and it will be $2,000, that turned out not to be true. I definitely got a bad vibe from that guy and didn't to it. This time 2022 I went on yelp and found Burbank Fireplace who had almost all 5 star reviews total. I said this is who I want to call because that many reviews don't lie. The guy from Burbank Fireplace was onetime and friendly right away. He looked at my fireplace and said it needed batteries for the remote control sensor, he needed to program remote and needed to be plugged in. After 15 minutes and $175 service call it was working perfect. I was so happy with the guys honesty I gave him a $60 tip. Being a woman and constantly being taken advantage of, the repair was such a breath of fresh air to actually find a company who was honest. Nice team members, but ultimately no a lot of options. If your are looking for something super standard then they should have that.

They do NOT wear masks. The man who helped me is the only one who was wearing one and I was halfway through my transaction before I realized the other three employees were not. I regret giving them my money. The woman argued with me about the mask mandate and made up a bunch of excuses about how they're family so it's okay and they get tested so it's okay and it only matters if customers wear them so it's okay. IT IS NOT OKAY. The mask is to protect OTHER PEOPLE, not yourself. In the U.K., 86% of positive cases are asymptomatic -- so getting tested and waiting for results doesn't help anyone, and a rapid test is only meant to test positive if your viral load is high enough to register (usually at the onset of symptoms). When I went to pick up my order the original employee apologized for the mask argument, but if you were sorry about it then you know it was wrong. So why weren't any of you wearing any masks this time around either? At best, the people who own this place are selfish and irresponsible. At worst, they are killing people. Professional, fast, and great service! Our fireplace hasn't worked correctly since moving into our home three years ago. We've tried multiple times to fix it to no avail. Actually, I would give them 10 or 100 stars if I could. It really isn't possible for a company to be any better. Amazing, old-fashioned ethics and absolutely outstanding and PERFECT customer service. Turns out I had a real pain-in-the-neck fireplace. They sent someone who worked and worked and worked patiently trying to replace a bad part on my gas fireplace. It wasn't perfect, he told me, and then returned with a different part that the manufacturer suggested and even with that part, it didn't work. My husband and I came into Burbank Fireplace to research gas logs for our fireplace. The store manager was helpful in answering our questions and explaining the differences between the different log sets and burners. Although they couldn't quite match the discounted prices that some online sites are able to offer, we were able to negotiate a bit of a discount as well as use their Yelp deal - and they also offer discounted installation when you buy the logs from them. So despite the fact that we could have gotten the set a tiny bit cheaper online, we liked dealing with a local company that knows our local codes, installs the logs themselves, answers all our questions, takes pride in their work, and who we know we can come back to if we ever have problems. Not to mention the benefits of supporting local businesses! Because it was winter (or as close as it gets to winter in LA), their schedule was pretty packed and we had to wait about 3 weeks for them to install the logs, but we were just happy that we could get them in before Christmas. It was worth the wait! Edward, the owner, came himself to install the logs (along with a helper whose name I don't recall). They showed up right on time and Edward introduced himself, gave me his card, and put booties over his shoes (without me having to ask) before coming in. They got right to work, checking first to make sure that the fireplace and chimney were in good condition and answering my questions along the way. He set up the logs and embers to look very realistic and I could tell that he takes pride in his work. The only hold up was when I discovered that they had mistakingly brought the base-line burner system although we had paid for the next model up. Edward was quick to apologize and resolve the matter, offering to either come back and re-install with the correct burner or credit me the difference. Since I was able to turn it on and see myself that the base model looked great as is, I chose the credit and he handed me cash for the price difference on the spot. They also threw in a few extras - we had ordered a bag of decorative rocks, and when he saw it wasn't enough to cover our entire fireplace he added another bag at no cost. He also sprinkled some stuff over the embers that makes it look like ash from an old fire (after showing me a sample of how it looks, since some people don't care for it). When he saw that our gas key was loose fitting, he sent his helper out to the van to get me a brand new one - also at no charge. When he was all done, he showed me how to open/close the damper (which I already knew, but it was a good refresher), how to start the fire without a big gas poof, told me how to care for the logs, and had me practice starting the fire while he was there just to make sure I felt comfortable with it. We've already used our fireplace multiple times in the few weeks we've had it - it looks great and puts off more heat than I was expecting. We are definitely happy with our purchase and our overall experience! My only advice is to just double check that the merchandise is exactly what you ordered - they'll happily resolve the problem if it was their mistake. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews and so rarely do this, but I have to do this in this instance. Burbank creates beautiful fireplaces, and we do have two that they installed and they work just fine. There's that. But I had to call them constantly to get them to the house. Months would lapse and no work would get done. So if you're willing to constantly harass them, you will get a pretty piece that you will pay for. Then they came out several times to work on our existing fireplace and "fixed" it. Charging us hundreds each time. after a couple weeks it wouldn't work again. The last time they came out they told us we needed to spend $3,000+ to fix it. Sick of that I called another company and they fixed our fireplace for $80. they literally dropped two zeros from the bill. When I notified them of this I got a whatever email in response. We called Woodland Hills Fireplace and were satisfied. Please don't attempt to reply and say we're not a customer. We both know that we are.
