Alma is the best hair stylist I've ever met! If you want a Hollywood quality hair makeover in a down to earth, yet very professional setting, RUN, don't walk, to book a haircut and color with Alma. I saw her today feeling hopeless with frizzy, dried out locks. She restored my color into a beautiful deep brown, removing the orangish hues, and transformed the texture into a silky, fresh, brand new head of hair. This is an update: After haircut I went back a few weeks later for a change in color. Alma again out did herself. She not only understood exactly what I wanted but it came out even better than I expected. She was very thorough in explaining how I needed to care for my new color too! I have gotten sooooo many compliments on my hair and the only bad thing about the whole thing was that I DON'T KNOW WHY I WAITED SO LONG TO DO THIS! The photo doesn't do it justice. My hair feels so silky. Not only is the color itself beautiful but my hair was brought back to life with a shine and silky texture that some people couldn't help but touch it. Thank you Angy! When one of the staff members had to cancel my mom's appointment because of illness, Angy came to the rescue. She contacted us personally to apologize and see if she could doing anything to make it right. At first, we were going to leave it be but I realized this might be my only opportunity to get my mom a cut while I was in town. So I texted her and asked if we could do it later in the day and she said yes then asked for a time. Angy came in on her day off and greeted as we arrived. She said I'm here and welcomed my mom with open arms. Just for further context my mom has limited mobility and speech so today was such a treat! Thank you Angy for taking care of my mom so well. I love going to Lisa H.! Funny story - I used to live in LA and would go to Lisa at one of her former salons. I still think she does one of the BEST jobs with my hair. I just happened to be in town and got an email that she recently moved to the Hair Care Center in Burbank. Well, I was in town and in need of a haircut, so I scheduled an appointment with Lisa at this new location for her. The place was fairly easy to find, and there is plenty of street parking nearby. (Note: There doesn't seem to be a private parking lot available). Lisa, of course, was fabulous! What I love about this place is that it is smaller with just a few stylist. And they have a barber as well! I've always preferred the more intimate salons. Lisa took her time with my hair, and it came out looking FABULOUS! I highly recommend going to see her. I have been a client with Hair Care Center for less than a year and so far I'm loving it. My hair stylist, Evelyn, recently transferred to this salon from a different company and since I love her work, I happily followed her here. What I like most about Hair Care Center is the cozy home atmosphere and the relaxed setting. I love that they have a cute little coffee corner in the waiting lounge area and a vintage barber chair in the back. Very charming little barber shop with about 5 or 6 stations. Evelyn has been my hair stylist for the past 4 years and I couldn't be happier with her service. When I first met her my hair was deep dark red but I wanted to be blonde again. I knew that meant scheduling many hair appointments and experimenting with colors but Evelyn was always patient and creative with my ideas. She always talks with me thoroughly to make sure I get what I want and gives me advice without being pushy. I've been coming to the Hair Care Center and seeing Alma my stylist for over 10 years. I found her salon when I lived in Burbank. I was looking for someone who knew how to cut and handle curly wavy hair and she has nailed it ever since. I also get my color and my highlights done with her and she is excellent. The cost is so reasonable compared to what other salon's want and the great thing is you'll end up being a stable client. She's friendly and courteous and goes above and beyond for all her clients. Ok I'm sorry to be a downer here but customer service at this place simply SUCKS. I've been looking for a place to make it my go-to hair place since I moved to Burbank. First time I tried I walked in and made a somewhat last minute appointment for an hour later. I went to wash my car down the street and it took them a bit longer than usual so I knew I was running about 15mins late and gave the salon a call. Tani answered and said sorry I have someone else afterwards so come in 3 hrs. I couldn't do that so we left it at that for the day. Called again a couple of weeks later on a Friday morning to make an appmt next day, Tani again answer and said she can't because the other girl is leaving town and she's all booked up on Saturday etc etc etc. Totally understand. I said ok how about Sunday afternoon? "Nope can't do because I'm all booked up since I'm taking some of the other girls clients." said Tani. Okkkkkk.... So when can I go? I kindly asked. "I don't know because it's a busy week etc etc etc" said Tani. Ok I got you, but WHEN else could I go? "Oh probably until next weekend I think". I said ok thank you, goodbye. Oh you "think"? Really? Give me a break. That's ridiculous. I'm done trying here. Place is small, old and rundown with only two hairstylists, one of them who thinks she works at an exclusive place. If they knew me well or my name at least, I'd take it personally or say they maybe don't like me or something but they don't because I never even had the chance to get my hair done at this place. Just got a terrific haircut by Alma. She gave my short pixie a great shape and style. I decided to try Hair Care Center after reading the great reviews and they were right on. Alma is clearly an experienced stylist, and so friendly, as well - I feel like I've known her for years! Price for wash, cut and blow dry was about a third of most salon pricing, for an equivalent, if not better, haircut! Not a fancy place, but highly recommended. I am a very picky person when it comes to who I will trust with my hair. Alma @ Hair Care Center came as a recommendation from a friend after I'd had a really bad experience at another salon, so I was hesitant at best. I bit the bullet and made an appt....and that's was almost 3 years ago and no one else has touched my hair since! My hair was very dark due to over processing and Alma was able to slowly add highlights and using proper color etc. get me back to my natural color without all the brassiness I usually ended up with. Got the haircut I've been dreaming of for years with Angy! She is definitely an expert at her craft. She was so nice and easy-going, and when I showed her a picture of what I wanted she knew the perfect technique to get it to look just that way. No judgement, no excuses, just an awesome haircut. The price was very reasonable and she gave me her undivided attention. I got a wash, cut with lots of amazing layers and blow-dry with some styling. It didn't take a very long time and she made sure I was completely happy with everything before we called it finished. She's also a genuinely sweet person and nice to talk to if you enjoy a chat. Good inexpensive hair cut, color and style. I have medium-length hair that I get cut and colored every 6 weeks and it only runs me about $65 including a generous tip. Eyebrow waxing is good too, quick and painless and well done. Ask for Tani for your hair and Alejandra for your eyebrows. Th place is so frickin' clean. There's typically plenty of parking around the front or there is parking on the residential side streets. I prefer parking on the side streets as this is shaded, whereas parking in front of the salon on Burbank Blvd. you'll be parking in the sun. Oh, and just be sure to bring cash or check, they don't take plastic. There's wheelchair access around the back. read more

I was desperate for a hair cut during the Covid-19 pandemic. I was thrilled when I heard they were being allowed to re-open last week. I looked up salons on Yelp and decided to call shops even though they were not opening till the next day. I was thrilled when they answered the phone. The owner Angy was at the salon getting ready for her re-opening. I was thrilled that she could get me in as soon as she was open. I was very excited to get an appointment the next day. I was a bit concerned because I did not know Angy but I am more then happy. I was so impressed at all the safety requirements that were in place. I was the only client there. Now the bonus was my hair that is sadly going gray and truly a mess. Angy did exactly want I hoped for,. I am not happy with allowing my hair to go completely gray, nor really short cuts. Angy preformed magic. I now have a short pixie and even with the gray it looks fantastic. I am thrilled and look forward to keeping it cut just like this.( praying she stays open ).
