I finally got my cards graded back from PSA. This was my first time trying to sell them but I didn't think they were going to buy them so low. My expectations wasn't that low but it just frustrated how they would just come up with these prices. For instances, one of the cards was 2023 Charizard ex 199/165 psa 9 and they gave me$180. I understand we all have to make money and this is business but i am just disappointed at how we can cut you so much for it. If you don't need the cash right away, I suggest you sale it somewhere else and try to sale elsewhere. read more

I just got back from Burbank Sportscards. I had a variety of cards from packs that my husband bought that I wanted to sell. Mind you, I wasn't expecting to sell them for a lot considering they were base cards. I waited patiently for 30 minutes and when I got up to the line I was asked if there were any autograph cards in the cards that I had. ( I did I have a good amount of cards) I said I don't believe so. The employee then dismissed me he said they don't "have time" to look through my cards. Wow! I saw you look through other people's cards. I was very disappointed as I was told so many good things about Burbank Sportscards. Needless to say my husband will not be selling his cards there! I called earlier to confirm PSA related questioned and mentioned i was coming to the store. The employee did not mention there is no PSA today due to Holiday. I drove 30 minutes for the doorman/host to say the PSA staff is a no-show, and made it seem like it's news to them. Cool store. I've been a collector for over 20 years. This review is how the cashier made me feel while I was purchasing cards. I wish I would have got his name. The only thing that was said to me "is that it?" I said yes. He rings me up and tells me the price. I said thank you and he replies with "yup" Doesn't offer me a bag. My dad is next in line. He gives my dad a bag and tells him "thank you have a nice day." All friendly. So I don't know if this guy discriminates because I'm a female or because I'm from the LGBTQ community. I called yesterday and specifically told the gentleman on the phone "I have a huge (4000+ cards) collection of mid-late 80s and early 90s baseball cards, most in PSA 8+ conditions (not graded). My dad and I have been sitting on these cards for 20+ years and I decided it's finally time to get rid of them." The guy on the phone explained that the buyers weren't in today and that they'd be in tomorrow. I showed up today and was greeted fairly quickly upon walking in the door, that's about the only plus they get. The gentleman who helped me asked what I had and as soon as I said I had mid-80s, he instantly responded with "we're not interested in anything other than rookies. All the base cards are overprinted. You can pull the rookies out and put your information. We'll call you when we're available". If I had been told that yesterday, I wouldn't have wasted the 30 minute drive out here and just listed everything on eBay. I have several rookie cards in the selection, but I'm not interested in dealing with a shop that can't properly communicate how they do business. read more

Came here with my boyfriend and we got two Prismatic Evolutions Suprise Boxes. We opened both boxes in stores and the second one was obviously tampered with!! The packs inside were open and missing cards. We told the workers and we did get a small discount on some single cards. Overall the workers were nice and they do have a great selection. I would just be careful with purchases here. The surprise box was even missing the promo card. Took the magic out of the whole experience :( read more

Visited here with my family a couple weeks ago. It was our first visit and a really fun experience. Rob greeted us and we walked in and chatted with us for a little. Made me feel really welcome. My family's into Pokemon so we visited the fishbowl and bought some sealed and our first ever PSA slab! A big thanks to staff member Ben in the fishbowl with answering all of our questions and showing patience with my young kids. I collected back during the junk wax 90s and glad to see the store have value boxes and athletes from that period. Wish we could spend more time, but we'll definite visit again! read more

My first experience wasn't great. I just went in to get some knowledge on what I owned as I have many cards that were inherited to me. I called ahead told me "only bring in rookies nothing else" I went in, put my name on a waiting list and waited. About 10 minutes later a guy calls me up, glances at my card and gives me an extremely lowball offer. The store seems to have a lot of variety but as a first timer, I didn't leave there with a great feeling. Came back after 11 months and i have to say, it was a much better experience. I was able to find cards under comps and was happy about the new selections they have. This is by far the best card shop I've ever had the pleasure of shopping at. It's a family owned business that's been around since the early 80's. The expertise of the trading card hobby is by this family is ever present in the form of quality service, products, store layout and prices! You can find great value finds here. It will take some digging (which is the fun part) but it's here for the taking. I wish I had more time to do so. That just makes it all more exciting for my next visit. The great thing about this shop is the inventory is always fresh. Every sports category is here, they recently added Pokemon and non sports categories, hopefully they can grow that inventory in the future. Each visit is a new discovery in cards or boxes, new and vintage, something for everyone. I felt right at home and can't wait to go back. If you're looking for a great father days present you'll find it here, just ask anyone of the friendly staff they'll be happy to recommend a great find for your loved one! Parking is a little tough, side streets are your best bet. Some Friday nights they have trade night and it can get a little crowded. Other than that welcome to the best card shop in town! Decent shop, location is iffy since it's on a busy street depending on the time of day you go and a very small parking lot. It was my first time there so I decided to bring some cards I was considering to sell or get store credit. The process was smoothly, I spoke with an employee near the counter by the entrance door and they wrote my name down on the waiting list. As I was waiting, I went ahead and browse around their display cases. Majority of everything that was displayed was new arrivals or the star (hyped) players at the moment. Great to look at in person but many prices on some were astronomical. If big money isn't your thing then they have a section on the left of the store called the fish bowl room which had some reasonable prices. As well as value boxes along the walls which looked filled but I didn't have the time to look through them. I was called and was presented with cash price and store credit price. Out of all my cards I brought in I got store credit for one card which was fine because it was one I got for free and the credit they gave me was reasonable. Other than that, the other prices were extremely low but understandable since they are a business so I declined on those. I believe they were offering 60-70% of comps on cards the employee mentioned. Some cards that I brought in didn't have comps from what I had researched on my own so it did make me wonder how the employee came up with the numbers. It was busy the day I went and pretty much everyone is wearing regular clothes even the employees so it could be hard to ask for help to see a card in the display. Pretty much have to wait and catch someone who has keys to open the display cases. In conclusion, it was an okay store and nothing special. I might give it one more look just to go through the multiple value boxes they have along the wall, but I wouldn't really recommend the store. My guess is the social media marketing is what makes them popular but I would just stick to buying singles online. read more
