I called this location to hold a few items for same day purchase and also drop off a jacket for repair. Upon arrival, I met sales associate Tiffany Choi who I only spoke with on the phone. Tiffany was amazing to work with by taking the extra time to meet my needs and exceeded my expectations. While I love buying new things, I dread trying them on because I'm in between sizes of almost everything! Needless to say, Tiffany made sure I was happy with every purchase. As for the jacket repair, I was surprised how quickly it was fixed considering I dropped it off during a weekend. Two months later, I called Tiffany looking for a particular bag - to my surprise, it was in stock. I asked to hold item and was thrilled to have secured a classic piece. Worse store ever. So first of all if you're Hispanic they will all look at you with a disgusted look. I visited with my BF on New Year's Eve. We ordered some clothing pieces in his size to get shipped to California because the store did not have his size available. We paid, our customer service rep told us he would text us the next day with an update and a tracking number. We decided to give him a few extra days because of the holidays. Almost 3 weeks later, no update, customer service calls are no help, contacted the associate and he's asking if it was a L or XL that we had ordered, 2 weeks later he's asking about the size. So I told him the size we wanted, and he says ok I'll ship it tomorrow several days have passed and still nothing. Terrible store, terrible customer service. The trench coats look fantastic. However, mine was utterly worn out after only two years. When I showed up at the store, the first salesperson I met said something was wrong with the coat. She went to see her supervisor and reappeared with the supervisor about 25 minutes later, only to tell me that this was normal wear! Don't expect quality: these are expensive coats that will last only a season or two, three at the most. read more

What a huge disappointment that this venerable house has slipped so badly in Customer Service. Last year I took my husband in to get him a trench coat that he loves in a specific color. Purchased both the trench and the inside warmer that helps offset a cold day. It was fitted to him and special buttons were added. I called the sales associate many times to follow up-never once did he follow up with me on his own. Oh and about 2 weeks later the warmer we purchased was no longer available. It took about three weeks after that discovery to get a refund on the credit card. Now it is August and we go in to get the warmer. I had the correct size from our last encounter but the new sales associate told me that would be too big. Again with my having to call, I was told that the original size would be better. Ok several more weeks go by after being promised that calls would be coming about the coat and warmer. Guess what-there was an inventory stop for one week and the warmer could not be received from another location (BTW this is the US headquarters, so we are told) I called again last week and was told that the coat and fitted warmer would be shipped overnight and I would receive a text with the tracking number. Nope-that didn't happen either. So I have to think that Burberry is under serious financial pressure that good Customer Service went out the window! A handwritten letter to the office in the UK went unanswered since January. Here's a thought- want to save the brand? Give good customer service and don't tick-off the client. Just good Business 101. This is an amazing store with top notch customer service. I came in to buy the hubby a set of nice cufflinks (he loves french cuff shirts). The lay out is amazingly beautiful with the Burberry logo subtly (and not so subtly) through out the store. People who greeted me on the ground floor were terrific -- friendly and helpful. I went to the children's floor and inquired about a $300 little red riding hood cape which was adorable. I didn't see sizing information on it, so I asked an older woman who worked there. She looked like a floor manager. Maybe around 50, blonde dyed hair in the poofy older woman style. She was gruff and impatient -- not something you want to deal with when you're carrying $800 worth of merchandise to the cash register. She told me "this cape is for children between zero and three". Excuse me? Zero and three? She stuck to her guns, Donald Trump style, that the cape was sized for any child, from newborn infant to a 3 year old toddler. She was disrespectful, needlessly gruff, and just really unpleasant. Clearly didn't want to be there, assisting me in a purchase. If I'm going to be purchasing so merchandise, I want to be treated better. I'm treated better at _Target_ for heaven's sake! I said "Ok, thank you for your time," put back the $800 worth of merchandise I was about to purchase, and walked back to work. I don't see myself returning. Shame on you, Burberry. If you want to be regarded as high quality, you should walk the walk. Having a high price tag isn't enough. This burberry is located on 59th. I have been to every burberry in manhattan. This burberry is more touristy but whatever. I like this burberry better than the location in the west village. I have bought quite a bit of ties wallets and even a duffle bag from the other locations in manhattan. The service is good here. They have comp drinks. I bought 2 ties and a new wallet here. I called ahead before I walked down to the store, good thing I did. The location did not have the color wallet I wanted so they 2 day shipped the wallet to the store and held the 2 ties for me. The sales associate called me and told my order was in. I walked to the store and everything was good to go. The one thing about burberry some people find annoying is everything is done on IPads. The trick is to be a repeat customer or creat a account online. All they will need is your name and all of your info will be in there system. Even though the sales associate had my items already picked out for Me they still offered me something to drink. Overall. This burberry is good. I have no complaints. Little did I know that item ended up being 3 items and a bill around $750.00!!! There's not much that needs to be said that hasn't been said. The establishment is gorgeous and picturesque. No detail is missed, including the Burberry Logo Panel design on the doors of the elevator. All the most up to date styles offered by Burberry are on display at this establishment. The prices are pretty much what you'd expect from Burberry. It's nothing outside the ordinary for this type of store. Polo Shirts for $75.00 Monogram Lining Rain Coat for $550.00 You're expected to spend a lot. But the details in the clothing are simply remarkable. Still... Quintessential London styling in the heart of midtown. This flagship store consists of 6 floors of plaid galore. As you first walk into the store, you'll notice the plethora of plaid available in all colors on the ground floor which is where the accessories (bags, belts and the infamous scarves) are housed. Take note of the wall of scarves on your left, available in a plaid pattern in almost every color of the rainbow. As for me, my mission this past month was to get a coat -- so up the elevator I went to arrive on the women's outerwear floor. Walking out of the elevators I saw a dazzling array of quilted coats in a range of colors and styles. In the enclave to the left was some RTW and classic coats and to the right were seasonal coats and mirrors for modeling their gorgeous coats. The service I received was attentive but not overbearing. I appreciated being checked in on every once in a while but left alone for the most part until I determined I needed some assistance. I tried on a few quilted coats and not once was I pressured into buying them but I ended up taking one home with me anyways. I also wanted to get a nice classic Ivybridge Trenchcoat but my size wasn't available in the color I wanted so I ended up doing a charge-send from the Seattle store (that's a whole other review!). Overall, I appreciate the quality of the coat I bought and had a pleasant experience in this store. At the store, the SA, Christian, was extremely helpful, informative and patient. He talked about the history of Burberry and explained all the features of the coats. We also looked at the scarves, as I planned to purchase one as a Christmas gift. I thank the store employees for being so accommodating despite the clock. Stopped in here last December to try on a trench coat in person that was supposed to be a birthday present/Christmas present from my sister. Service was great! I was approached by a saleslady ready to help, and she kindly brought out for me a few options for me to try: helping me into the coats, tying the belt for me, and even bringing out scarves to help me envision what it would look like to accessorize, as well as showing me different ways to button/wear the trench! Very knowledgeable and the entire experience felt very high-end and upscale. She even offered my friend and I a beverage as we were trying things on (wasn't she afraid we'd spill on these $1000+ coats???). She didn't push me hard to make the sale, and was happy to write down the style names and prices of the few different trenches I had tried on, for me to consider. If you can afford the clothes here, definitely worth a trip, even if you can't, doesn't hurt to look =P. read more

If Burberry is anything - it is timeless and classic. I have been a fan of Burberry for 12+ years now, and everything I have bought there I still wear, and is in fantastic shape. You really do get what you pay for. This Burberry store is between 5th Avenue and Madison. When you walk in, you will only see women's - and to get to the Mens goodies you have to go up to the 6th floor. When I was there, I was looking specifically for Men's Vests. Something more on the sporty side. The sales person only had one on the floor, but said he just got a shipment in yesterday as part of the fall collection and saw there were a couple of vests that came in. There weren't yet out on the floor - and he went to the back, grabbed two that came in, in my size, and brought them out for me to look at. Although they weren't exactly what I was looking for, I was impressed with the level of service. No Attitude. And when I said what he had wasn't what I was looking for - he was still nice, handed me a card and told me to drop him a call and he would keep an eye out for what I was looking for. I completely stand by the Burberry brand! I've had my umbrella replaced at this location, and if you didn't know umbrella repair is hard to find. I have purchased a few shirts where the collars cracked due to wear and tear and their onsite seamstress repaired them for me at no charge. Hey, does anyone need a $350 umbrella? Does anyone need $300 shirts? No, but I can afford them! It also gives me great pleasure, to know there is a brand out there who shows compassion and understands some purchases are collector's items and/or can be passed down a generation or 2. Burberry customer relations is terrible. I received a Burberry tie as a gift last Christmas. The stitching on the back of the tie was poorly crafted and separated so that the interior materials of the tie are exposed. I wrote to customer service. They gave me the run around and said that I had to go to one of their stores for an evaluation. Went to the Short Hills Mall (NJ) store and was treated as if I came from Mars because I wanted them to repair (not replace) the tie at their cost. Probably a $10 cost to them, if that. Answer, Nope, show us a receipt to prove you bought the tie within one year. Not the answer I expected from what is supposed to be a high end retailer. Costco treats its customers better. Lesson learned: I should've just read Seema K's review before purchasing a new handbag at Burberry. I love the coats that I've purchased, but I recently had a not-so-great experience with their bags. I purchased the Tumbled Leather Crossbody bag in Trench and wore it one day (P.S. Tyrone was so helpful and friendly). I noticed what I thought was dye transfer on the bag after the first day. When I examined it closer, I realized that it wasn't dye transfer, but the finish had worn off! I was already back in Ohio by the time I realized this, so I called the store and spoke to one of their customer service reps about the issue. We talked about a few options which were repair, replacement or refund. He said that since the tumbled leather has such a delicate nature, he wasn't confident that the problem wouldn't happen again. I was able to return the bag without any problems. I can't thank the Burberry staff enough for their helpfulness, but I'm still sad that it didn't work out with the bag. I'm basing this review on an experience I had today while trying to return a scarf I bought a week ago. It was unworn, unused, tags still on and within the timeframe for return per the receipt. The store manager was brought over to tell me they could not process the return based on the condition of the scarf. He was completely rude and me feel humiliated. The service was wonderful. I went up to the 5th floor as I was looking to purchase a tie. Upon entering the 5th floor, a sales associate quickly greeted me and asked if I required any assistance. I told him what I was looking for and he guided me over to the ties section. Initially I didn't see what I was looking for at the ties section (a slim/skinny tie of a certain colorway), The associate quickly went to the back to check their inventory twice for me to see if they carry what I was looking for (they did carry it) since I had a few things that I was looking for. I knew I wanted to get either a backpack or a coat, but wasn't sure which one. Adrian helped me out throughout - love Adrian! He's amazing. I was unsure of what I wanted, in terms of style and color. Adrian was very patient with me, and told me the pros and cons of the styles of backpacks - which one would stay in style longer, which one I could get monogrammed, etc. He helped me choose the backpack that wa really right for my personality. My experience was great because of him! He's fun, and extremely patient, given how indecisive I was. Within a week and a half a stain appeared in the strangest area of my backpack, which was weird because I only took my backpack to work, have a walking commute, and take extremely good care of it. Adrian had a messenger pick up my backpack from my apartment, had it inspected, and did a one-time exchange for my backpack - he managed to find the last one in stock in all of the US! Burberry sells beautiful well made clothes. The last 2 years they have had sales that have included their classic winter coats. It has been a great opportunity to purchase a classic quilted coat or trench that may have been financially out of reach in the past. They have a huge selection on the Burberry line in this store, bigger than their store in Soho. The sales staff here is friendly, but reserved. If I worked here I would be reserved too. I imagine that they have a lot of people who are "just looking" They are slam in the middle of the Midtown East shopping madness.
