I will never shop here again & I suggest you be aware if you do that they do not care about you as a customer. They have a 14 day return policy that they do not tell you about, so if you buy a gift in advance be aware that they will not be able to return or exchange . Had pretty poor service here today. I ordered an item for pick up and after receiving an original confirmation email, I got a second email confirming pick update and time. I walked in and was greeted by security (they were kind). However once I went into the show room the SAs were on their phone and neither looked up. I had to cough and ask for help. Once I let them know about my order the promptly handed it to me in silence after checking my ID. it was just so painfully awkward and not welcoming whatsoever. I'm giving this Burberry location 2 stars instead of 1 because of how surprised I am that a luxury store can still be ran although the customer service is not even close to moderate. It's almost 2022... A for effort. It seems like there's new management here. I'm not entirely sure who or what it is, but the vibes of the place is not it. My past two visits here, I swear to you. I had to speak to the workers first upon entering. I might as well go in the stock room and grab what I need and ring myself up at this point. A little tip. If someone enters your home, you might want to invite them in with a warm welcome and make them feel comfortable. Maybe be a little more interested. Or yaknow, pretend to care at least? But don't be too fake, find that middle ground for yourself and truly want to help a person out. It's not that hard, really. After all, you guys do work in a business that attends to other peoples needs to an extent, not the other way around. I'll definitely be driving the extra miles to Burberry located in Palo Alto. Phenomenal service out there and you will truly feel helped out and welcomed even if you just popped in to browse. Tax is pretty heavy here..not sure if it's cheaper in outlets (or if you can even find the style). However, service is great! Tips: -They have a 30 day return policy! My man bought me my first Burberry handbag less than a month ago. When we purchased the bag the staff was friendly and helpful. The manager explained the warranty and made me feel confident about the company standing behind there name. This was very important to me because of the amount of money that was spent. After a few days having the bag I noticed the snap closure in the front was constantly coming undone. I went and bought a smaller wallet just to be sure I wasn't over stuffing the purse which might have caused it to not close tightly. Nothing changed with a smaller wallet. Last night I went into the store to inquire about the issues I was having. The woman that helped me couldn't have been more rude and condescending. I explained the issue as she stood looking at me blankly and proceeded to show me how to snap my purse to close it. As if I didn't know. She told me she didn't see a problem and handed my my purse and said "show me" with attitude. Just as she said those words the manager shot a firm look he way and said he would be with me in a second. As soon as the manager finished with his customer, he went and grabbed to of the same purses from the shelves and we compared the closures. We both agreed very quickly that the closure was defective. He said he would be happy to send it under warranty for repair at no cost to me.. maybe t would take about 4-6 weeks for repair. He handled the situation very professionally.. But as I was walking out of the store I thought realistically the amount of time I have had the purse and the amount paid along with this being an issue from the day of purchase, why wasn't I offered an exchange for my purse vs the lengthy repair? *REAL ACTIVE SHOOTER EXPERIENCE* Pathetic, negative rating. Wednesday afternoon on 2-03-2021, I am here in store shopping and I hear there's an active shooter. I immediately panicked. The workers kicked me out and KIM told me to go to the parking rooftop ALONE. How would I know if the rooftop is safe?! There were a few cars around me with people already leaving with no clue that there is a shooter. I could not leave due to my car being across the mall. I acted in the moment. I am never shopping here again, they don't give a crap about the customers. This whole situation was unbelievable. I had to call the police myself, the fact that I was stranded on the rooftop while there's an active shooter???? This is very surreal. I was scared for my life. BURBERRY, YOU ALMOST COST ME MY LIFE LEAVING ME IN THE COLD WITH NO PIECE OF INFORMATION! YOU WORKERS ARE THE MOST INCONSIDERATE HUMAN BEINGS I'VE EVER MET! Today we walked by the Burberry window and we saw a lovely pair of boots and I wanted to buy them for my mom for Christmas. We walked in and asked for assistance. The young lady who helped us was Kelly and most of the questions I asked she didn't know, like why they advertise shoes on the window but they don't carry shoes at that same store, Or why she said that if I wanted the shoes I would have to buy them before even trying them on. At this point Kim who was helping someone else began to answer for her co worker Kelly (who seemed new). I asked if they can find a store such as Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdales to see if they had those same boots, they didn't want to help and they could not assist me or answer any of my questions. No one cared to show or sell a pair of boots to me I wanted to buy. I was still going to buy the boots but first I wanted to know the type of leather because I wanted lamb skin. I asked what it was... Kim didn't know, so I asked to feel the boot, they would not even let me feel it. Then I watch Kim take that same boot to someone else to let them hold it. Why could I not even touch the shoe yet Kim let her Asian client hold the shoe? I own my own business and I am African American, I don't like the way I am treated when I come to this store and I absolutely did not like the attitude that Kim gave us. This is not the first time and I assure you it will be the Last. We felt belittled and dismissed and I will never step foot in that store if I'm treated like this again. No one was able to help us locate those boots. I had to write the skew number down and research it myself. I had the worst customer experience with Kim and I will never return to this location nor do I encourage anyone who doesn't want to be judged or discriminated on because we don't look rich. We were Denied Entry just bc we were BLACK. My friend called me about 2 pm, he was telling me how his fiancé BD is next week and how he is still trying to figure out what he was going to get her and so he enlisted my help and like any good friend a agreed to accompany him to the mall and help him look for a a BD gift. The first store we entered was MK, the staff was very nice and helpful to us but we unfortunately did not find anything that caught our attention and so we thanked the worker and left. We then headed to BURBERRY in hopes of finding something suiting. When we reached there we were meet at the doors by a young black dude and he promptly denied us entry after some other worker from the inside (who also happened to be black) signed to him to not let us in. We found that very weird and when we asked why we were denied entry he said that the store worker who is inside could only assist a maximum of 2 people at a time and since there were already two people in the store we couldn't get in immediately and so we had to 'wait'. At this point me and my buddy were confused looking at each other like wtf is that suppose to mean, while this was going in our head, the same worker from the inside motioned to the employee by the door and they communicated discreetly and right after that the employee by the door told us to comeback later on (which in hindsight was a polite fuck off) since they couldn't help us atm. Perplexed, we started to walk away and before we even took six steps away from the store, we look back and what do we see? The same Burberry employee that promptly denied us entry, letting an elderly white couple in. We angrily walked back to the store and asked what in the world was going on and the employees were speechless, we concisely described our disappointment and frustration and we simply took our business somewhere else, some where which our worth is not defined by our skin tone. The Burberry employees took one simple look at us and they decided that we were not 'fit' to shop at there store. To put it in simpler terms we were racially profiled, it was disrespectful, demeaning and simply uncalled for. To me, the worst thing is that we were racially profiled and denied entrance by two other black Burberry workers. This is not acceptable by any measurement . After a few days I went back to return it bc my husband absolutely didn't like it and these people wouldn't return it because the tag was cut (by their own sales associate)! And apparently they have a restricted policy that if tags are cut they don't return- then why cut the tag for customers!! My theory is that the address is indeed a fake, and the restaurant is a ploy by Burberry to lure in customers who have found themselves stranded and unable to locate said....location...? Wait...proper sentence structure? lolnothx. Now you're probably asking yourself, "Why on earth would lost hungry people end up in Burberry?" The answer is only so obvious when you add Jaime to the equation, because that was the first place we stopped in our continued trek for sustenance. I was led completely unaware into the Stanford Shopping center by Jaime under the premise that it would contain our desired ethnicity of food, much like an innocent child into a windowless van offering free candy. A true con artist you are Jaime. Little did you know that I would have willingly jumped into the van whether you had candy or not, you devilish minx. So here we are in Burberry. I read the reviews about her experience with recent shoe shopping, and can only imagine where this might lead. Awesome super amazing shopping buddy that I am, I continue to provide my opinion with zest and enthusiasm! Meanwhile Kathleen has returned, telling us that she has called two stores, and she has had an associate in the Santana Row location put a pair in Jaime's size on hold. Of course we thank her, and send her back to the phones, because Jaime now needs to find a pair of these heels that are not so loose, stat. Oh Kathleen, what a trooper. She was on that phone 95% of the time that we spent in Burberry, trying to track down pieces of clothing we were lusting after like pirates over buried treasure. And you know what? It may as well have BEEN buried, because we got lost AGAIN on the way to Santana Row, and it was kinda like a treasure hunt in itself. I made my first Burberry purchase last month. The whole experience was quite smooth, easy, and enjoyable. I went in with a purchase in mind. I went straight to the back and grabbed a men's sized M t-shirt. I took it from the cubby and notice there was some dust on it. Which is fine by me.. I just dusted it off and went on my way.. Then some drama went down and my eyes failed me. It wasn't the right style, nor the right color, nor the right fit. One thing led to another and the helpful Taylor guided me to a successful purchase! Whoo hoo!!! He said they had 2 styles. I was like whoaaa, what does that mean? I also learned that they come in slim fit. Who knew!!? And the design that I liked came out to be $25 cheaper. YAYYYY My smile only got wider : ) I was really fascinated by the boxes, bows, and the shopping bag itself. Overall the service was awesome. I felt that they really took good care of me. Honestly, do I need to flaunt a stack of $100 bills when I walk through the door for someone to acknowledge me? I just want to walk into a luxury store, be acknowledged, and be treated how customers are supposed to. Just because I don't wear recognizable designer shoes & handbags and look like I have money, doesn't mean I can't afford what you're selling. Three times too many I've had disappointing experiences at this location. Once, not selling me a pair of shoes at the price printed on the box ($275) but telling me it rang up as $295 and that the price was misprinted. However, on their website the pricing was in fact $275 and when I asked them if I can see the price it rang up as, the sales associate ignored me. I wanted the shoes so bad since the next closes Burberry location from me is an hour away, I purchased it anyways. I didn't get a ribbon tied on the shopping bag handle like every other customer but at that point I just wanted to take my item and leave. This experience was years ago when they were still selling shoes at this location. Fast forward to today. Those shoes I bought, I love them. I wear them to death any chance I get! For the time I've worn these shoes, there was a flaw. The color of the inside lining would transfer onto my feet and it's not the most attractive looking thing after taking of the shoes. Because I could easily wash it off my skin, I never bothered to complain. I just decided to contact customer service one day and tell them about the color transfer. CS told me to take it into a Burberry location and see if it was an actual manufacturing defect and ask for a possible solution if it was. Here comes the part that really pissed me off. I talked to a SA about why I suddenly decided to bring in my shoes. Her response? "I can't help you because we don't sell shoes here." My response: "Really? But I bought these shoes at this location." Her response: "Yeah we've never sold shoes here so I can't help you." Basically her way of calling me liar without actually saying it. I had the receipt that even showed I purchased it at this specific location and you're going to tell me you never sold shoes? Smh. The manager is then called out and all she could say to me is "You can try putting baby powder on your feet because the moisture probably causes the color rub off." Honestly, I didn't expect her to compensate for what the shoe is doing to my feet. I just needed to see that she's actually trying to help me out. Consult with more employees. Ask your fellow employees for their opinions. Do something rather just telling me my feet are sweaty. Which, they are not. And even if they were, the color transfers just when you lightly rub the lining. read more

I love Burberry but wow, this store has gone wayyy downhill. I got a pair of leather boots for Christmas and wanted to return them. It was my first time returning/exchanging anything at Burberry so I read up on their policy - it was the standard (unworn/used, tags attached, receipt or gift receipt, within 30 days, etc.). When I arrived at the store with my boots and gift receipt in hand, I was told by the guy working there that he couldn't return the boots because I had a gift receipt and not a "real receipt". I explained that I got them for Christmas (it was 4 days after Christmas afterall) and that all I had was the gift receipt. He went on to say that he could only exchange them for something else in the store. I wasn't impressed by the selection of items in this particular store and was also in a hurry. They also don't carry shoes at this location. I told him I didn't want to exchange them for anything and wanted to return them. He went on to say that if I wanted to return them I had to go to the Palo Alto store where they were originally purchased. At this point I had had enough and asked to speak to the manager. It was obvious they didn't want to make such a pricey return at their store. He apparently spoke to her beforehand because she came and processed the return (in the form of a gift card) without too many questions asked. (I hadn't even tried on the boots so they were literally brand new). I was surprised by how unprofessionally I was treated, the lack of selection in the store, and how casual the employees dressed and behaved. It's not that I expect them to be wearing suits as they do at the Stanford Burberry store or at Gucci a few stores down, but a nametag to at least identify themselves as employees would be nice. Bottom line, I will NEVER return to this Burberry store and will stick with the one at Stanford shopping center for better merchandise selection and employees with class. read more

Burberry! One of my favorite luxury brands (at the lower end of the cost spectrum) because of the simplicity of the designs and classic look and feel. (LV can go screw itself for its waaaay overpriced ugly brownness.) My favorite item is definitely my Burberry scarf (thanks Ingrid - my BFF!). SO soft and so warm during the winter (great for those Minnesota winters!). I really feel like Burberry scarves can look great on anyone and make a great gift if you're willing to spend the dough. I'm a big fan of their perfumes and small leather goods and other accessories. Their umbrellas are very well-made and can survive typhoon-like winds (like in Japan - boy was it useful). I walked into the store to buy a shirt I wanted for a while. The store was relatively empty but nobody came up to me for about 10 min. Finally, a lady helped me out and helped me pick out and try out the shirt. I wanted to take it and gave her my card. She told me that she could not process a card that says "See ID" on the back and she needs one with a signature. I told her that I've had the "See ID" on the back of all of my cards for the last 20 years and no one every had a problem with it. She told me she couldn't sell me the shirt. I had to pay cash ( the entire $300 ) like I was on a flea market. Needless to say I'm not going to shop at this store again and will just go to the Nordstrom around the corner that carries Burberry as well. read more

Came in here today ... And there were 3 sales people at the register ( 2 guys and 1 girl) All I got was Nods from the guys ! (All Asian )No hello, Smile, Nothing ! Came to buy a backpack that they didn't have, they had to call the NY store to have it shipped, it's supposed to be there in 3 days, then upon leaving, they barely said Good- bye ! I paid for the backpack, but...I'm going to get a refund, I'm really ANNOYED at there Customer service. I will be contacting Burberry online, this was unacceptable Smh! read more

For the caliber of a store it should be, my experience here was not acceptable. I made a purchase and had to make a return because it was not the style I saw online. I called them to see if they could check to see if they had the style that I did want, and they took my name and number down and never called me back. Way to treat a paying customer, guys... After 48 hours, I called the Stanford location, and someone was able to help me and ship the item to me within 2 working days. Yay! Of course, being 5'2", I needed alterations. I figured I would save myself a drive and take it to the Santana location to get it altered. I gave them a call and someone rudely informed me, "It's at least a 14 day turnaround right now." That's a long time! I called Stanford, and low and behold, they said it would only be a 3 day turn around. If you adore Burberry like I do and want great service while shopping in their stores, do not go to the Santana location. The Stanford Mall location is worth the drive! read more

My favourite perfume is from Burberry; it used to be called Burberry London, but now they make another fragrance under that name and no one knows what to call this one. So when I refer to it as Burberry London and the sales bitch corrects me, I want to smack her in the jaw. You know what else makes me want to mess up people's faces ? The prices, auuuggggh. A 50 ml bottle of my beloved fragrance is $45. My dream purse (Manor Bag, in patent white or black-patent red available only in the UK) is $1600. What the hell is that about ? It's just dead cow and some metal fixtures. When I finally get around to writing that Great American Novel, I'm going to walk into a Burberry store and roll around naked in the silk scarves. Uhh...seriously? Okay, so Burberry London isn't exactly edgy, but this location has probably one of the ugliest, dumpiest buys ever, second only to Neiman Marcus. Their stock is full of large sizes, ugly colors and dowdy styles. As for the service... absolutely clueless when it comes to being familiar with their own products or offering any help in obtaining a size, style, etc. The mandatory one star is for the cute sheep they have in the store as display. read more

I am partial towards Burberry, and it has always been one of my favorite brands. Santana Row is a fun place, and they truly did a great job of combining the high-end retail experience with high-end dining & cocktails, with the luxury condos above - I always love coming here. What I do contend with is that they always seem to be dumbfounded when I pay with cash - I even had a clerk tell me she couldn't take my cash payment - what? The service is spotty, and subpar with the reputation of the brand. I more or less simply avoid the staff and get what I need to get, as they tend to get in the way and often know little about upcoming collections or accepting cash payments. It's peculiar, but I really have never gotten good service here. But nonetheless it is favorable to shopping online, and Blowfish Sushi is right up the street! read more
