I am partial towards Burberry, and it has always been one of my favorite brands. Santana Row is a fun place, and they truly did a great job of combining the high-end retail experience with high-end dining & cocktails, with the luxury condos above - I always love coming here. What I do contend with is that they always seem to be dumbfounded when I pay with cash - I even had a clerk tell me she couldn't take my cash payment - what? The service is spotty, and subpar with the reputation of the brand. I more or less simply avoid the staff and get what I need to get, as they tend to get in the way and often know little about upcoming collections or accepting cash payments. It's peculiar, but I really have never gotten good service here. But nonetheless it is favorable to shopping online, and Blowfish Sushi is right up the street! read more

Yeah, i'm still in love with this store. Diana put a ton of effort into finding a size for jeans, searching the backroom and checking other stores, and displayed plenty of patience when I had questions. While the jeans weren't found in any of the nearby stores, Diana wrote down all the info I needed to find them online or in another store. Burberry's always been my favorite of the luxury stores, and I continue to be reminded of this when I visit their full-line locations. Just avoid the outlet in Livermore. read more

Horrible, totally disgusting service. Treat you like peasants waiting in line for bread and hand out. Only one in line, customer inside finishes with associat and she says be with you after we sanitize. She disinfect the counter and grabs a scarf and walks to the back without ever acknowledging me again. 3 min later she has now a black shirt and disappears. Still waiting in line for 5 min, I just wanted to buy a simple wallet. The lady manager didn't care about helping me or actually being helpful. I came in here to buy children's clothing and was pleasantly surprised to find affordable items. I have yet to find some Burberry goodness for myself, but I'll definitely list this place as a must-see during my next SantaRow visit. The place was huge, and the salespeople were fantastic! I usually love to wrap my own gifts, but the sales attendant was so diligent with the tissue paper folding and ribbon tying that I'm tempted to hand that pretty package the way it was when I left the store! read more

At first glance the product itself deserves 4 stars. For the most part if you know what you're getting the quality is there and some of it is made in Italy. On the other hand you get the same great quality ingredients to make their product however, they too have a factory production site in China. So beware! or just ask a salesperson to walk you into the right direction. As far as the clothes go I'm not really impressed. The fits are a little to slim fit for me and I'm definitely a trim type of guy. Some of their designs can be too flashy for me as well. The original nova check design for the wallets whether it be tan or black/grey still is kinda loud. I got as a gift, a credit card holder, which I really love, in a patented black leather trim. It wasn't the orginal nova check design, it was an exploded pattern, a little bit more modern, like me. As far help goes here, the people are nice, not really pushy like other stores at Santana Row. Still they could use a little more training, some of them didn't know what I was referring to when I asked them about something I saw at Nordstrom. All in all it's a great designer store to check out if you don't really know much about designer at all. The prints are well known but if you want something a little more unique I'd try else where. Prices are in the hundreds of dollars as other designer stores so you pay for what you get. read more

Not sure why this location has such bad reviews but my experience here was not bad at all. I came in here only two times. First time was to check out the Burberry scarf and was acknowledged and helped by one of the SA. I ended up not buying it because I knew I could get it cheaper at another website that was actually on sale. I just needed to see in person and how it would look on me. He provided me with the business card just in case if I needed to come back. The second time I came was intended to look for the trench coat. I was greeted by Jill and she immediately helped me to tried on their two styles. Within 20-30 minutes I walked out feeling excited because I had it fitted and was told to return in three days to pick up my Kensington trench coat. Exceptional customer service. They repaired my jacket zipper once and didn't charge me anything. I think stuff like that has a lifetime warranty effectively. But I didn't buy that jacket. The Burberry brand itself gets 3 stars, but the Customer Service in this store makes it 4 stars. I tend to associate Burberry with Chavs and Neds. Please google that, I don't want to define it. Living in the UK I always saw so many knock off Burberry everything, I ended up developing an automatic dislike for the brand itself...sorry. I associated Burberry with street brawling alcoholic fights. Yea, I witnessed that a lot in the UK. However, coming back to the US and being bludgeoned to death with authentic everything in terms of luxury goods, I've come to appreciate genuine Burberry products and not the knock off stuff that I saw on the Chavs and Neds. I came here the other day with a girlfriend to window shop and discovered that I actually love Burberry handbags and wallets. I'm deviating from Louis Vuitton, but sometimes a little variety is good! I know what I'll be asking for when it comes time to purchase a new purse. :) There was no pressure to buy, but they encouraged me to look around and take my time. I went to the store to get my jacket altered, I was fortunate to talk to the manager who is super rad. I called just to see if I could see one of their tailors and was more then willing to wait. She called back in less then 10 minutes to say that she could bring their Burberry tailor the next day. The next day I arrived and was somewhat discouraged to hear that it would be very difficult to extend the sleeves, they said they would do their best but no guarantee. I had to accept it because I tried my personal tailor and she 100% could not do it without destroying the jacket. The manager and tailor said it would take about two days to see what they could do. When it was finally time to pick up my jacket I was ecstatic to see it was flawlessly altered. The jacket fit perfectly, the work of the tailor was truly innovative, I could not believe what he did. My personal tailor couldn't even fathom what he did for me. I was charged very reasonably and could not be happier. This is really a great place and would recommend it to everyone read more

I love the novacheck signature design. I love their purse, wallets, and rainboots!!! The staff here are very helpful if you find the right one. I had one looking for hat they had online that was sale, but no luck there. The same person helped me try on rainboots, which i told her not all of them fit my correctly, and told me what to expect with them (they stretch a little bit) which helped me choose the correct size =D The items are good quality, though sometimes the material can get marked from daily wear and its hard to get it off =( they told me i could try a magic eraser ... but i'm scared. I've been here twice to buy a bag and a wallet for my Mom for her birthday and honestly I'm not the type that frequents these little boutiques that sell these brand name items. I always imagined the employees to be snobby if they see me coming in wearing shorts and a t-shirt but I found the employees to be pleasantly friendly. I didn't really know what to get and they gave advice but never seemed pushy trying to sell or upsell another item. After you purchase the bag they also wrap it in this crazily gigantic box for a small bag and it looks all fancy in ways that I could never accomplish. My wrapping always looks deformed. If you're looking for something in this price range, I think this is a nice place to get a present for someone or yourself although personally I don't believe bags are worth this much! read more

Taylor, my favorite associate at Burberry, no longer works at Burberry, but I've had the chance of getting help from a few of the other associates at this location, and they were all super sweet, patient, and helpful, even when I end up just wandering around the store for a while. From altering my husband's belt to better fit his waist (cutting the leather multiple times), helping me try on a coat a bunch of times before making a decision, and watching me visit the store myriad times without buying anything, this location is really sweet and by far one of my favorite stores in the mall, just for customer service and range/variety of items. The layout of the store is really nice - so much nicer and open than when they were at Santana Row. The store is also twice the size than what it was at Santana Row, too. The whole store is very bright and airy. Love this store. P.S. Found out they play all British music here at all times. Found out Joy Division is British. Go fig! read more

I came to Westfield Valley Fair for some window-shopping, and immediately was drawn to the Burberry store because 1) the mannequins all looked flawless and chic, and 2) it's Burberry. Customer service here is phenomenal. I was assisted promptly, and was able to try on several quilted jackets. I never felt pressured to buy anything, and the two staff members who helped me didn't breathe down my neck or make it blatantly obvious that they wanted to collect their commission. Monica was extremely helpful and made solid recommendations of fits and colors. While I didn't purchase anything, I definitely want to go back during their winter sale and try on more items. It's Burberry Baby! My experience here was different from that of some other yelpers. This location's customer service both over the phone and in person was excellent. They helped me track down this belt I had been searching for in SoCAL and in SF and I was extremely excited when they found it. They didn't even ask me for a credit card over the phone to hold it for me. In comparison, I felt one of the sales staff at the SF store was extremely rude to me even AFTER I made 2 purchases. I always come here to look around as I am not a big fan of Burberry but they are always very courteous and nice. I had them send out my Burberry watch becasue of condensation inside of the glass, they sent it out and repairs were free due to the warranty. This review is for the alterations service. I made an appointment to get the belt loops on my coat moved down. The tailor only works on weekdays, but I was able to come in at 6 PM after work to meet with him. I was a little late, and everyone was courteous and friendly to me. I think usually getting the belt loops moved is not a free alteration, but because I mentioned that the belt was digging into my rib cage and hurting me at its current height, they waived the fee. My only complaint is that it took a whole two weeks to finish a pretty simple alteration, but I was called as soon as they did complete it. Pick up was also smooth, and I got a garment bag to boot that should be useful for traveling. read more

I absolutely despise this location. I was shopping for my boyfriend's birthday present and he desperately needed a formal belt. As I walked into Burberry, I received a quick glance and was not greeted by its poor sales associates. I wandered around for a good 15 minutes while being purposely ignored. Please keep in mind that there was only one other customer in the store. I finally flagged a sales associate down and he seemed extremely annoyed that I wanted to purchase an item. Okay... isn't this your job? Isn't this what you're paid to do? After my short interaction with him I decided not to purchase anything from this store. This review is for the Santa Clara store, not the product. Long story short, I tried to exchange for a different size for a newly purchased trench from Copenhagen flagship about one week prior. The trench was newly introduced for the season, unworn, tags were untouched and receipt attached. The SA manager tried to discourage the exchange by showing me the no international return policy that does not apply to exchanges. After I pointed it out, she then tried to tell me I look better in the current size, so I should just keep it. Seriously?? I just dropped 2k on a piece of cotton and this is the service to expect? My stupidity. Let alone all the other Burberry products I purchased in the past, probably totalled to be more than 20k. And then the humiliating interaction continues some more. Finally I got fed up, left, and called the US Burberry help line while standing right outside of the store, the help line lady was very apologetic and personally called the store to approve the exchange. read more

Being that Burberry is a 'designer brand,' I would expect their sales representatives to be trained to value their customers and to treat their customers with utmost respect. I don't know what it is with high-end stores and their snobby sales representatives, but it's absolutely unacceptable--especially when I'm paying good money for their products! Just 'cause someone decides to dress casually one day, doesn't mean that they don't got money to blow! Quite frankly, I'm not a huge fan of the brand, but I do shop here frequently for gifts. I have made 3 separate purchases within the past month at this location and on every single occasion I have to search for service. Waiting 10 minutes for a sales rep to assist you is ridiculous. The only reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 1 is because the General Manager & Tayler had came into the store after 10 minutes of me searching for service and immediately assisted me. Service at the valley fair location is ehh, I received better service at the sf store. Came in here a few times and was turned off by the useless service, once came in looking to buy my mom a lipstick as a gift because I heard good reviews about Burberry lipsticks. One of the SA didn't catch her name but she had blond her and looked in her 40s said "ummm I don't think this is a good gift" and just walked away from the beauty section, ummm rude. Really? Just because the lipstick are like $40 isn't worth helping a customer? My mom's a fan of Burberry and owns several Burberry products from handbags, clothing, fragrance. So I usually purchase from Nordstrom(because Burberry is a brand not worth paying full price, when department stores does promotion). I ended up going to sf and visited the store in union square and purchased the lipstick there and received amazing service for just buying a lipstick. She even sent me a thank you card to my home. Now that's customer service and the fact the Burberry already has my contact on file tells how I already been a customer at Burberry. read more
