What a terrific place! The staff was amazing. They even have a Doggie Menu and a window to be able to eat with the pup. The food is hot and fresh. I want to swim in the horseradish sauce they serve with the onion rings. I can not say enough good things. You should probably look at the menu online before you arrive, or you could spend 10 minutes making a decision as the sizable menu is on chalk boards behind the counter. You order, pay and they give you a number, and you sit down. It is a serve your own drink, get you own utensils and napkins place. This elevates the need to tip a waitress which has its positives and negatives. One star for the Milk N' Cookies monthly shake. A second star for the French fries. No more stars are granted because of how disappointing my BBQ Bacon Burger was. Where do I even start? Oh yeah, the fact that the burger came out in less than five minutes after I placed my order. Every time about 5 minutes after I had placed my order at Burger 25, they would bring out my delicious shake to prepare for the main entree which would be the burger following the shake in the next 5 minutes, because I knew it would be well worth the wait because the burger would take a while to cook, meaning it would come out hot and fresh. But this time, not only did the burgers come out way too fast, they came out before our shakes. This tells me that the burgers were pre made and had been sitting around waiting for my order. But the fact that I had to start eating without a drink was the saddest part. What kind of restaurant serves food before a beverage??? Now for the burger. According to the Burger 25 menu, the BBQ bacon burger is an angus burger topped with crispy onion straws, bacon, bullseye BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, and Mayo on a fresh baked onion bun. When you read this description on the menu, it sounds so pleasing, delicious, and delightful. However, the BBQ bacon burger that I had been served was awful! My BBQ bacon burger was over cooked and dry. There was barely any onion straws and they were not crispy at all. Barely any bacon, the BBQ sauce was good, but not as tasty as I anticipated it to be. No cheese, too much lettuce and there was one giant juicy tomato that was misplaced on the back edge of the burger, completely ruining my final bites. I asked for no Mayo and thankfully the employees did not give me any. Last and most definitely least, the bun. The menu states "A fresh baked onion bun." However, the bun I was served was stale and did not have any sort of onion taste to it. As you can see, this was the worst BBQ bacon burger I have ever had. Quite frankly it was the one of the worst burgers I have ever had in my life. Of all the years I had Burger 25, I have enjoyed my burgers so much that it makes me crave them often. Last time I had Burger 25, my burger was cooked to perfection and topped accordingly to the menu. After that experience, I thought Burger 25 had the best burgers I've ever had. But after today's experience, I have no desire to order a burger off of the menu any time soon. I have craved Burger 25 for half a year and that is what I got. My father and grandmother were also very dissatisfied in their burgers. My father ordered the habanero burger. His burger was also over cooked and dry. There was no cheese as well and his bun was stale. Same thing for my grandmother but she had cheese on hers. It doesn't matter because she hated it! All she ate was 3 of the worst nibbles I have ever seen anybody take. She complained the whole sitting. I am very upset and mad to take time out of my afternoon to write this review. Overall, I rate Burger 25 a 2/5. One star for their delicious and unique shakes and a second star for their amazing French fries. I really loved this place. My parents recently moved to Toms River from NY so when we came to visit we were looking for good burgers. I yelped and I am glad I found this place. We all love the burgers, regular fries onion rings and fried pickles. My parents even stop there on their own for lunch during the week a few times. This is the 2nd time poor delivery. I was told by Restaurant it was Grubhubs fault and GrubHub it was restaurant fault. I did speak to a woman at the restaurant an hour after my order who told me the food was not ready yet. I used GrubHub and sorted by restaurant by fastest delivery time and was told 30 minutes. Within 5 minutes of placing the order it changed to 60 minutes. Then changed to 90 minutes when order was to arrive. I called restaurant and was told they had not started cooking the food after an hour. I was told I could not cancel the order by the restaurant and GrubHub. The food both times arrived stone cold and I had to throw out. Please note I spoke to someone at your restaurant who told me food was not prepared after an hour. Stop here today after reading reviews on Yelp. Really creative burgers and fries here. I had the burger of the month (Smack Attack, their take on a Big Mac) it was really good. My husband loved his Penne Vodka burger and my daughter said the Mac Daddy burger was delish. Their regular fries are large and nicely seasoned (just the right amount of salt/seasons). We also had the Jersey fries (melted cheese, diced pork roll and ketchup) really good. Shakes are just crazy, hard to explain you just have to order one!! Awesome burgers. I had the B.A.D. Burger (breakfast all day). It's huge. Bacon, pork roll and beef! No to mention egg cheese and ketchup. If you don't like a little sweep, try something else because there's a good strong maple blast. The fries are great too. They certainly give you plenty. Plus, there's a dipping sauce that's great. Don't worry about getting your money's worth. The only downside here is the parking. You may have to drive around the block since both this joint and Rich's ice cream share the lot.
