The shakes are great and I dream about their Old Bay fries - they are to die for. I've had chicken wraps that were very tasty, as are some of their other items. But I don't get the love for the burgers! I've tried them on numerous occasions (thinking maybe it was just me) and have never finished a single one, and I love a good, fatty burger! Unfortunately, Burger 25's burgers are leaden, unseasoned bricks. There also issues with the toppings, which might have salvaged these bad burgers. They're always of good quality and in good combinations except for one very important flaw - they're all missing a much-needed acidic element to brighten and lighten the overwhelming fattiness of their combo, perhaps with the exception of pickles on their classic burgers. Burger 25, there's a reason why people like ketchup on their burgers - it's the nice vinegary contrast to the richness of the fat! Even if ketchup isn't your style, an acidic element is still sorely needed. Finally, the extremely finely-shredded lettuce is downright unpleasant to eat, fresh though it may be. I WILL continue to order shakes, chicken wraps, tenders, and, especially, the amazing Old Bay fries from this restaurant, as they're very good, but the burgers - no thanks. read more

One of the best burgers I've ever had. Period. Went there on Monday evening when they have their 1/2 off burger deal. Catch is you have to buy a side and a drink also with the burger. So in reality, probably spent the same amount of money but got more food because usually we would split the fries and drink. But who's complaining, right. Another cool thing is that they offer a special burger and milkshake that changes monthly so they're always trying out new things. I got the BAD (Breakfast All Day) Burger which came with maple syrup, bacon, pork roll, fried egg and cheese, and of course the burger, on a soft white roll. The sweet maple syrup combined with the savory meat was SO good!! Ate every single bite. Then for my side I got the sweet potato fries which were great also. BF's favorite is the Habanero burger and has gotten it multiple times. His regular french fries came with their famous Garlic Ranch sauce which is available for purchase in big bottles up front by the counter. We always stop at Burger 25 when we're heading out on our summer residence on the Island. Usually we travel on a Thursday or Friday night, so Burger 25 is a reliable, fast stop for a late-night meal. While there's a variety of burger options to choose from (you guess it - 25!) I always go with the Classic (#1) because it's a delicious staple. The burger is just the right size and seasoned to perfection. I don't usually eat a burger with fixings, but I welcome the fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles that top this thing. Terrible service, rude and obnoxious owners. Last time I was in there not a single cook was wearing a mask and when asked why there where photos being posted on fb showing people not wearing masks inside, 25 burger account responded saying they have a no mask policy. I've passed Burger 25 countless times driving down Route 9. I've always wanted to try it but never got the opportunity to until this weekend. I was pleasantly surprised on how good this place was. I went into it with an open mind and an open palate. Upon entering Burger 25, the staff immediately greeted us. They asked if we had any questions about the menu and gave us a lot of great recommendations. After much deliberation, I decided to go with the pulled pork burger. This was fantastic. The pulled pork was moist and it was topped with coleslaw and cheese which was a perfect combination. I was torn between this and the Philly cheesesteak burger. My cousin got the Philly cheesesteak burger so we split it by giving each other half. The Philly cheesesteak burger was also great. The steak was cooked to perfection. Overall, I really enjoyed Burger 25. I want to try more of the selection that had. I will definitely be coming back and I easy give this place 4 stars. read more

I read some reviews that weren't complimentary regarding the service here, however I didn't have any issues in that regard. Our issues came from the food. My husband ordered a classic burger & I ordered the Frisky Whiskey. The sandwiches were gigantic-- we could have shared one. But the burger itself wasn't juicy & didn't have salt /pepper on it. It came dry for both burgers. My burger was missing items -- it was missing the bbq sauce & onion straws-- which is the reason I ordered this sandwich. We ordered 2 sides - onion rings & boardwalk fries. Onion rings weren't salted & were bland on their own. Sauce that accompanied was mixture of bbq sauce & Mayo. Just ok. This is one of my favorite burger places. I am not sure if they are related to Burger 30 but my favorite burger is the gyro burger. It is amazing and is a hit every time. I also enjoy getting the half and half which is half onion rings and half fries with there accompanying dipping sauces. Really enjoy coming to Burger 25. For me, it far surpasses Smashburger. I'm a macaroni and cheese enthusiast so naturally, I got the Mac Daddy. This burger hit it out of the ball park for me. I'm also a fan of the BBQ Bacon burger. The crispy onion straws get me every time. Although sides aren't included with your burger, I can totally justify spending the extra money because they are bomb. The fries were nice and crispy and the onion rings may have been some of the best I've ever had; the onion doesn't slip out of the breading (an onion ring lover's worst nightmare.) If you find the room in your stomach and wallet, I also would highly recommend one of their signature shakes. The Tagalong Girl Scout cookie shake is incredible. Overall, a great place to get a burger and a good bang for your buck. Only complaint is that sometimes it is difficult to find a table. Let me start off saying the bun is simply OK in fact without being overly critical its really barely passable. Secondly the quality of the meat is excellent and the flavor good. On the flip side no pun intended why they choose to smash the burger down and squeeze every ounce of juice out of it is beyond me, not to mention that they are all overcooked... Shaking my head. Toppings good, with great pickles, though their raw onion is "RED ONION" and cooked onion White.. Ok asked for raw white nope only red... Guess they pre-cook their white onions but don't have any non cooked white laying around... Shaking my Head again. In Short burger fell short for the aforementioned reasons. They have a nice lunch combo $3.95 Boardwalk Fries with Garlic Ranch sauce and unlimited fountain drink add on which is a good price point to add to their reasonably priced burgers, sandwiches and wraps. French onion burger is the best , but if you hate shredded lettuce like I do I suggest not getting it . I love burgers and swear it ruins this great burger. Ruins the taste . Burgers are great. I know this is a busy place but the wait time is ridiculous. I called to place my order and was immediately put on hold, I held for 8 minutes then got hung up on, called back then was put immediately on hold again, held for 7 minutes then got hung up on. So I ordered online through Yelp, I couldn't customize my order the way I needed but at least my order went through. I went to pick up my order in the suggested time 35-45 mins to only have to wait outside in the cold for another 20 minutes. I still gave 4 stars cause the burgers are great I just hope they hire addition help at busy times. read more
