This was an absolute mess. This is the last time we will be ordering from this place. For starters, our food came and the wing sauce had spilt everywhere. We had to clean everything just so we could eat and it just smelt like buffalo sauce throughout the bag. I had gotten the bacon cheeseburger and was disappointed. The burger was so soggy that the bottom was falling apart..I had also asked for no tomato and it was given anyway. The beef was either frozen or overcooked because it stuck together so disgustingly that I couldn't even eat it! My mother had gotten the Philly cheese steak and she had bitten into it and was confused on the taste..it didn't taste normal and then she smelt the bread. The bread smelt SOUR. It smelt like it had molded and then they dipped it in grease. The fries tasted very powdery and it wasn't the best experience. Definitely will not be coming back here and I'm disappointed because I genuinely loved this place for the milkshakes. read more

Meh. Great meat. Low quality bun. They step up the bun and will be much better. Service is ok. Ambiance is a little outdated and not appealing. Also the name doesn't bring in a bunch of people. Has a lot of potential. Dville needs a good burger shop. But needs to be more up to date like vickery burger in cumming. read more

It was very tasty and delicious because it was made from fresh order. The staff was polite and courteous to us as we entered and throughout our full dining experience. The sides were cooked perfectly and the burgers are fresh patties and not frozen. What a wonderful experience and this location is convenient to Hwy 400 and various shopping stores. The dining environment is nothing to write home about, most would consider it rundown, others seedy, however, the cheeseburger I ordered was phenomenal. Everything is made to order and severed piping hot. My two year old really enjoyed his crinkle cut fries; they were crispy, yet not overdone. The only thing they need to work on is the Strawberry Shake, it didn't really taste like strawberries and had little flavor, aside from that solid overall. read more

I wish I got her name (I want to say it was something with a S) but whoever the blonde girl with glasses and nose piercing is... by far the worst service I've ever gotten. She was rude and acted like she was doing me a favor. After I paid I watched her go back and touch food WITHOUT gloves, after handling my dirty money. I also went to get a refill on my drink, opened the top and noticed black MOLD on the ice due to not cleaning the ice machine or drink station. Needless to say I wont be back. Found this place on Yelp. I'll get to the point: definitely recommend trying this place. Cheeseburger was very nice. Beef pattie looked like it was made by hand vs a perfectly round frozen pattie. Cooked on the grill right in front of you. Fries were nice and crispy! Onion rings were also nice! The only neg - I thought it was abit pricey. A kids meal (burger, fries, drink) and a cheese burger, onion rings and a drink came out to $16.57. I think $12 to $13 would have been more reasonable. Ef Out! read more

Absolutely fantastic Christmas Eve everything was closed at 5:30 and Then I happened to see this Burger and Shake place open after checking the Ingles deli for any fresh food ( all gone staff was cleaning food area for closing) and I'm so glad I did. They serve about everything you could want . We only got Burgers, Fries and onion rings but will be going back to try other stuff . I'll rate what we bought and ate all 4 of us are in agreement so not just one but 4 same results. Cheeseburgers and Double cheeseburger 9.5/10 Onion Rings / 9.5/10 Fries 5/10 The Burgers are absolutely delicious with made to order fresh ground beef burgers and were absolutely delicious and a good value . Must try Onion Rings definitely the best Crunchy onion Rings I've ever had . I'm not usually a fan of big onion Rings but these were battered so we'll that it didn't matter . Absolutely must try fries were average crinkle cut fries but alot were Over cooked and lacked any salt or seasoning . I would try again because I'm sure it's because they were mad busy on Christmas Eve after everything else was closed.( Also open on Christmas day) chalk that up to full grill and fryers two employees for like 25 people just in 15 minutes. THOSE INCREDIBLE ONION RINGS SAVED THE DAY! My husband and I decided to stop in at Burger and Shake because my husband really wanted to try their burgers and I was curious about their chili slaw dog. This place is not quite my aesthetic because while I don't mind plain and simple, I do like things neat and clean. I also noticed that there were quite a few people in the kitchen and things appeared a bit chaotic. This resulted in us almost receiving the incorrect order, ( a cheese steak instead of the burger and no fries). The order was easily corrected but they need to be better organized. On to the food! Now this is a burger place so basically it is a fast-food joint and there aren't any healthy options on the menu. Welcome to Dawsonville! That really wasn't a problem today because we knew what we were doing. My husband ordered a double cheeseburger, fries and onion rings while I ordered a simple slaw dog. I do not recommend the slaw dog as it was not a quality item. The dog was very small and upstaged by the bun while the chili was dry and appeared to be from a can with no taste whatsoever. The slaw was very bland and I don't think they even added the requested onions to my dog. While I was told the hotdog was all beef, it simply had no flavor. I like a flavorful, high profile dog like Nathans or Hebrew National. I also like a very fresh, homemade chili and slaw. I like a wet chili that is very generously applied and covers the entire bun so that it can be eaten with a fork. That slaw needs to be fresh with a nice twang to complement the chili. The chili slaw dog was very disappointing. You may want to choose another option. The double cheeseburger was a better option but needed more seasoning according to my husband. It was well dressed but I prefer a natural, (not processed) cheese on my burgers. He gave it three stars. The fries were delivered hot but they were crinkle fries and not a fresh hand-cut preparation as I prefer. Now for the best in show...(insert drum roll)... Those onion rings were unbelievable!! They were large, perfectly battered and perfectly seasoned with a generous amount of onion within. They weren't greasy and when you bit them, the batter and onion did not separate. It ain't fancy. One of the best burgers in dawsonville. Not the flattened Freddy's or Steak N Shake ones. This is a real beef patty and decent size. They probably make one of the best cheese burgers with slaw around. No need to travel to the Dawsonville Pool Room. Oh, and just between us heavier people- I'm here after dinner somewhere else for a chocolate malt. This tastes real, no some crappy half price sonic shake. I will pay full price any day for a shake here. Really, 3.59 for quality is better than half priced crap somewhere else. I have one check I here but have probably eaten here about 20 times. Seriously only considered this place because of the reviews. Ordered a philly cheese sandwich and glass of water--they didn't have anything that appealed to me. Was floored that they charge $00.50 for the glass of water that they had to pour myself. Sandwich was ok at best--hot at least. Will return to Culver's or Five Guys the next time that I want a burger. Save your time and money and go elsewhere for a decent meal. read more

My family of 4 had a great meal here. The owner took our order and was very pleasant. We had wings, grilled chicken salad, cheeseburger, and a hot dog. It was delicious. Found this place on Yelp and was really looking for a hole-in-the-wall place to eat. It only had two reviews, but they were great. I don't give out five stars as a general rule because it's hard to meet everything as far as being served and treated right, but this place did it. Very friendly place with friendly people behind the counter. It was simple to order our food and the lady made sure we got it exactly how we wanted. Very clean which is a big deal with me.
