Double cheeseburger and a chocolate shake
Stan D.

Nothing fancy, but a good double cheeseburger and chocolate milkshake. Excellent service, and good quality.

EF C.

Found this place on Yelp. I'll get to the point: definitely recommend trying this place. Cheeseburger was very nice. Beef pattie looked like it was made by hand vs a perfectly round frozen pattie. Cooked on the grill right in front of you. Fries were nice and crispy! Onion rings were also nice! The only neg - I thought it was abit pricey. A kids meal (burger, fries, drink) and a cheese burger, onion rings and a drink came out to $16.57. I think $12 to $13 would have been more reasonable. Ef Out!

This place is really good, don't judge it off the looks! The burgers are quality and juicy, and the cooks put time into their crafts! 10/10

Burger & Shake #8.

Great chicken cheeseburger. Fries are hot and crispy. Onion rings are to die for. Would love to come back here anytime.

This is the strangest thing I have ever seen. It is supposed to be a chili, slaw dog but was not a quality item.

THOSE INCREDIBLE ONION RINGS SAVED THE DAY! My husband and I decided to stop in at Burger and Shake because my husband really wanted to try their burgers and I was curious about their chili slaw dog. This place is not quite my aesthetic because while I don't mind plain and simple, I do like things neat and clean. I also noticed that there were quite a few people in the kitchen and things appeared a bit chaotic. This resulted in us almost receiving the incorrect order, ( a cheese steak instead of the burger and no fries). The order was easily corrected but they need to be better organized. On to the food! Now this is a burger place so basically it is a fast-food joint and there aren't any healthy options on the menu. Welcome to Dawsonville! That really wasn't a problem today because we knew what we were doing. My husband ordered a double cheeseburger, fries and onion rings while I ordered a simple slaw dog. I do not recommend the slaw dog as it was not a quality item. The dog was very small and upstaged by the bun while the chili was dry and appeared to be from a can with no taste whatsoever. The slaw was very bland and I don't think they even added the requested onions to my dog. While I was told the hotdog was all beef, it simply had no flavor. I like a flavorful, high profile dog like Nathans or Hebrew National. I also like a very fresh, homemade chili and slaw. I like a wet chili that is very generously applied and covers the entire bun so that it can be eaten with a fork. That slaw needs to be fresh with a nice twang to complement the chili. The chili slaw dog was very disappointing. You may want to choose another option. The double cheeseburger was a better option but needed more seasoning according to my husband. It was well dressed but I prefer a natural, (not processed) cheese on my burgers. He gave it three stars. The fries were delivered hot but they were crinkle fries and not a fresh hand-cut preparation as I prefer. Now for the best in show...(insert drum roll)... Those onion rings were unbelievable!! They were large, perfectly battered and perfectly seasoned with a generous amount of onion within. They weren't greasy and when you bit them, the batter and onion did not separate. They were perfection! If you go, you must get the onion rings!

Burger and Shake, to me, is nothing special. It's overpriced and blah. Some reason my coworkers and friends love this place.

The burger and tater tots were also very good. The menu offers a wide variety of specialty burgers with plenty of customization options, including grass-fed beef for a small upcharge. Fair prices for the quality and quantity of food--definitely left in a food coma. Service: Service was efficient and the food came out well-prepared. No major issues during the visit. Atmosphere: Located in downtown Dahlonega, making it easy to explore nearby shops and dessert spots before or after your meal. The tavern has a darker, eclectic vibe with artwork, punk music, and a slightly edgy feel. The décor fits the restaurant's origins and personality, though the lighting--including in the restrooms--is quite dim. Parking downtown can be somewhat difficult during busy times.

I asked for some Tabasco sauce to help make the sandwich more palatable to eat, instead of being brought a bottle like most restaurants would give you they gave me a condiment cup full of Tabasco sauce, too much for anyone to use. When the bill came for an extra 50 Cent charge for it, I didn't fight it because it was 50 Cent and I just wanted to leave, but it was frustrating. I've never been charged for condiments / hot sauce at a restaurant I'm giving two stars because the server was nice and patient while we figured out what my little one needed to order she had to come back to the table a couple times, but they should have mentioned the surcharge for the hot sauce at the time that I requested it. Would I come back here again for a meal, no. Would I consider coming back to try a cocktail, maybe, only because overheard the bartender speaking to some patrons quite passionately about the flavors which they put together so I would give this part. Another chance even though the kitchen has lost my confidence,

As someone from the home of the Whataburger, Texas, I can honestly say this place is doomed!…read more I usually leave the line in the drive thru, because you can literally sit there for 10 min. The line does not move. That coupled with ppl parking after they leave the window to go back in and get their order corrected, it's not worth the effort. But... went today at about 3:30p, and stayed because there was no one in line at all. I ordered, the kiosk style employee took my order. I paid at the window, because I had cash. As she gave me my change, she asked me to pull around and park at a numbered spot. I was the only customer in the drive thru I realized I hadn't asked for ketchup but remembered Whataburger (from experiences in Texas) is always good about making sure you have it. I love the spicy ketchup. About 4 min after I Parker's, a nice employee brought me my bag with patty melt and fries- The employee was friendly but brought no ketchup and, when I asked, he said I could swing back around to the window and ask. I didn't bother- not sure why he couldn't bring any back out. No napkins in the bag for my very saucy patty melt. The melt was alright, but the fries were lukewarm and stale (way too salty but this is fairly normal for this chain). I will probably choose other burger joint options- I've tried twice with this restaurant, and it's not worth the money or hassle. Hope they revamp and get with the program or they'll never make it.

We had our 12 lb bundle of puppy joy with us so to the back deck we went. I think Dakotah was the only server on the main floor, both inside and out because it took a long time. Long time for water. He was busy even though the restaurant wasn't full. Poor guy. My hubby ordered the muffaletta and wasn't impressed. He ate it though. He loved his Abita root beer. I decided to order from the side menu and I'm so happy I did. The andouille sausage was grilled and tasty. The maque choux was amazing. Think Mexican corn with a Louisiana twist. Perfection!! The loaded grits were also wonderful- chocked full of gouda, bacon, and green onions. Delicious! The gumbo was thick like a stew. The flavor was smoky and sublime. My only beef is instead of all gumbo, the cup was filled mostly with rice... topped with gumbo. Overall we enjoyed our dinner. However, due to the pace of things, the underwhelming sandwich and perception of getting shorted on the chicken and gumbo. I wouldn't hesitate to swing by and order a maque choux to go as a snack except they charge $1 for the to-go container.

The restaurant is decorated with photos and such from the history of Freddy's these were interesting to look at while waiting for my food. I walked up to the counter to order, the person was nice and helpful explaining menu items. There are way more things on the menu than I was ready to try today. I went for the regular cheese burger meal. The burger was two crispy thin patties, two slices of cheese, pickles, onions, mustard. It was pretty good but salty.
