I tried the Bench Burger and I'd give it 5 stars. It was amazing. I can't think of any complaints except the seating is kind of tight on the weekends. You have the choice to sit inside or outside and your dog is welcome. When you walk in you may have to stand in line for a minute to order your food. They'll give you a number and then you find your seat. They'll bring your order out to you and you may or may not be surprised that your burger doesn't come with fries depending on if you paid attention to the menu. I thought that was odd but the burger was large enough that I wouldn't need fries, and not large in regards to a huge bun or a lot of vegetables. The patty is thick and the bacon is full strips of bacon. It was just a great burger. I'd add a sixth star if I could just because you can bring your dog if you'd like. read more

Great burgers and a rotating selection of craft beers. Side items are top notch and they offer a "burger of the month" that is always delicious. I have only been here twice and both times my order took about 45 minutes minimum. With the place being packed both the Sundays I've been in, I gave the house courtesy to either catch up on orders without adding another arrogant customer to their list. My bf and I came here after working up an appetite at the softball field on a Sunday afternoon. We're not as familiar with north county SD so I hopped on Yelp and typed "burger". This place popped up with multiple good reviews and... it did not disappoint! Both of our burgers were delicious, the tots were great, our pitcher of beer was awesome, and the WINGS! I got the bench burger with bench sauce on a gluten free bun with a side salad. The bun was amazing for gluten free! The side salad looks small but it is a perfect side for such a huge burger. Although, the bench sauce made the burger incredibly messy to eat. I ended up giving up on the second half and forked and knifed the patty and bacon. I needed to get out of the house. I was writing all day and isolated. Parking isn't great take Lyft. I had a great time everyone was so friendly. People were there to have fun. I had the fig jam burger slider and the chicken. I ordered onion rings they were juicy and good. The beer selection isn't big but they hit the spot by having types of beer covered like IPA's. I love that this place is awesome and busy. Downtown Esco badly needs places like this to revitalize Grand Ave and the surrounding area. Artisan sodas (black cherry with tarragon? OMG, so good), fantastic burgers and chicken (and vegetarian for folks who don't eat meat), truffle fries and tots, and a great selection of local beers. Service is top notch, everyone is friendly. The fried chicken sandwich is one of my favorites... I've had nothing else like it. And, if you can't decide, try the 3 slider sampler! You really can't beat it. It is my place to have a decent burger in Escondido. The burger is pretty good, but I actually go there for the tater tots. They are very crispy and flavorful. Good options for beer. Finally got to try this place! My boss took the office where I work out to lunch to celebrate my upcoming birthday. EVERYONE loved their food & I'm so glad I chose to come here. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it's on the pricier side - and you have to buy fries and burgers separately. The burgers are already $9 and up so it would be nice if they had a side included. Regardless, the food was really good, and it's a very chill environment. I ordered the black bean patty burger (vegetarian) with half tots and half onion rings. I also got a fountain drink only because I was dying to try the vanilla cream soda. The food came out in a very timely matter, and everyone's orders were correct. Everyone was trying food off eachother's orders and everything ordered was a hit. I would definitely order the onion rings next time as my side because they were AMAZING!!! My veggie burger was yummy and the ingredients were all very fresh. I would have liked for the patty to have more flavor but the "bench sauce" poured on it made up for it. I also had a few sips of the Oreo milkshake and it was so good - it definitely could be a meal all on its own. All in all, this place is good for all occasions and times of the day, I will definitely be back soon. read more

We've eaten here 3 times now and each visit has left us disappointed. Don't even waste your time with the chicken. The burgers are mediocre, the buns are dry and the toppings are inconsistent. The grilled cheese was greasy. Every single time we have gotten our tots and onion rings 15-25 minutes after our sandwiches. What the hell? 2 stars because they've been consistency good. Okay so I kept hearing about this place, I am like okay, Ill give it a shot. Was really excited and pumped! When we got their it was crowded which i understand and am cool with it! The thing is i expected amazing food but the food came 35mins later and we waited in line to order took 15mins and when we ordered their was no seats and the ones that were free were not cleaned until like 5 mins before our food got out so we just stood in the middle which sucked! The food came and it was cold and the taste was not their at all. The service was awful, not kindness or helpfulness! Honestly the only food thing which is why they got 1 star is their drinks ( non - alcoholic ). I notice EVERYONE their was drinking so I am certain this place is only getting good/ great reviews because of their crafted beers, so yeah if you love beer come here but don't waste your time buying food, might as well go to Carls Jr. or McDonalds! read more

Personally, it wasn't worth the money if you just want a regular cheeseburger.
