This is the only food spot for L 20-28 so if you don't get food before getting there you are stuck with this as your only option. Ive been here before and I always tell myself to get something else if I fly out of these gates. The line is always long, the workers are usually slow paced, and the food is expensive even for airport food. This time I got the hotdog which is a footlong and it comes with a side salad or fries and they don't let you upgraded to tots so I ordered tots on the side. The hotdog was charred which I wasn't a fan of. The tots were the best part. This isn't my choice of airport foods but when it's the only one I guess I'll take it.

Great service and it is a comfortable place to be at an AirPort. The good was good enough.

This is the only restaurant on L20-L28 gates at ORD airport.. The best thing about it was Robert, who demonstrated service excellence! He was running around doing everything, but the cooking. And, always positive and a smile on his face. The crunch burger was pretty decent, except you need a shower after eating it. The chicken sandwich was somewhat dry. The Mic Ultra drafts were cold and tasty.

Go to McDonald's! Seriously. Terminal L location: Service: under staffed but terrible. The front cashier had ZERO sense of urgency or ensuring she kept on top of orders ready from the kitchen. Signage: it says seat yourself but it should say , " order first at counter Then seat yourself ". Otherwise you'll be waiting till kingdom come. Food: McDonald's would have been way better. My Chicago all beef hotdog was messy and questionable quality . My hubby's hamburger was salty and the meat was grey. Both our fries tasted like they were cooked yesterday. Just plum aweful! Do yourself a favor, go to Starbucks across the way, vending machines, or McDonald's. You won't regret the alternatives.

Friendly service at the register - willing to split the bill between the two of us who were sharing. And they did offer a military discount. They have grab n go, take away or sit down service. Burger was great! Fries were very EH. Tried the Little Miss Figgy - an angus burger, fig coulis, pickled pepper relish, triple-cream gouda cheese fondue, bacon vindaloo. I would rate it a HOT burger, but it was really tasty. (Asked about the fries. The employee at the register said we were getting the "frites" that included rosemary and their federation sauce. I asked about the incorrect plain fries that we received, and was met with a confused stare, and no willingness to offer a solution. Fries were not fresh either. Major miss.)

Upper gates in L terminal at ORD has only 2 choices. A Starbucks and this place. Well I was t in the mood for a burger so I goth the schnitzel sandwich and I was suited to find it was excellent. Fresh soft brioche bun delicious lemon aioli tasty green arugula, the fries were very good too. who could ask for more.the bartender/waiter/ busboy was a whirlwind! He was happy quick and well focused on keeping the place moving. There's a few tables in there and luckily I got a spot. There's table service if you sit down but there's a to go counter too. If I had more time I'd go for a burger.

If you all travel at all, you've been stuck in an airport layover! This trip I find myself at O'Hare for 4.5 hours so lunch was on the menu. I felt badly being at a burger joint and ordering chicken, but the schnitzel sandwich sounded pretty good - and it was. Crispy, white meat chicken cooked all the way through with a nice sauce and side salad with a zippy vinaigrette dressing. The bun, an underrated part of any sandwich, was a nice soft brioche. The service a bit slow but the place was filling up fast and there appeared to be only one server. As far as ambiance goes: while it's a sit down spot, it's in the airport, so it's loud and crowded, something you should accept in an airport eatery. Over by the quieter (relatively) L gates, it's a nice spot for a quick bite. The

BLT BURGER and fries - good size patty but no flavor or salt

As far as airport food goes, your better off trying ANYWHERE ELSE. Burgers have no flavor. You need to tell them in advance if you are eating on their tables or "to-go" or the will kick you out. Quite rudely as a matter of fact. It won't even matter if you just paid nearly $100 your 3 burgers and sandwich. The lady will literally leave her counter from taking orders to shame you for not telling her in advance your intentions to eat there. She takes your order begrudgingly and could care less customer satisfaction. I don't know if this restaurant cares whether you come back or not after they get your money. I do not recommend.

Busy busy but good food. The little miss figgy won burger of the year so I had to try it. It came out quickly with tater tots. The bun could have been toasted, but the patty and brie/gouda was a good match. It is at an airport with lots of foot traffic with limited seats, so keep a lookout for seats.

Rise and shine burger and tots

I was not really happy, I thought the burger I ordered was poorly prepared and messy, the egg that came on it was barely cooked, it was clear and runny. IT came with tots that looked like the cook accidentally dumped the entire salt shaker on them, they were uneatable. I should have sent them back but I had been flying all night and I was too tired to complain. The guy working the room was mostly talking with friends, loudly singing, and goofing off. I had to ask to be seated, asked to order, asked for my drink he forgot, which was never refilled, and asked for my bill. Then he comes out after me for getting a small tip for his bad service to complain about the tip. Sorry, but if you want a good tip then earn it. I'm generally very generous with tips, but I have no problem giving a bad tip or no tip for bad service.

Good burgers friendly service. This is a nice quiet spot to relax. It's nice to have a choice between fries or a mixed green salad.

Wow! So happy I finally got to come here. They have recently started accepting some reservations…read moreand I was lucky enough to get one. I understand why they are famous for their burgers. I had the single cheeseburger and it lived up to the hype. I learned that the single burger is actually a double and the double is actually a triple. I was recommended to add an egg and bacon to the burger and I'm glad I did. Each bite was a glorious burst of flavor. The bacon is epic. Thick juicy slices. The cheeseburger was perfect. I didn't need additional condiments and that never happens for me. The fries were good too and came with a delicious aioli. For beverages, I loved my Arnold Palmer. I also tried a cocktail--the Long Island Iced Coffee. It was pretty strong. I added a shot of bourbon cream to it and that sweetened it up and made it perfect for me. Unfortunately, I didn't have room for dessert. Cute restaurant. Cozy inside. They have an outdoor patio as well. If you don't have a reservation, be prepared to wait. Excellent food. Excellent service. Jennifer took great care of me and made great suggestions. It's pricy but it's worth it.

Often recognized as having the most recognizable and hyped burger in Chicago, Au Cheval is a…read moreGilded-Age inspired diner (opening in 2012), serving up thick freshly made burgers along with a good selection of drinks. The process of getting seated through a busy period, and the service throughout was excellent. But as often happens with me, the food didn't live up to the hype. My wife and I were picking up my brother and his son from O'Hare at around 10 am on a Saturday. We had dinner plans with our uncle, but had not planned anything in between. The flight came in on time, and once confirmed we all had the time, my brother suggested going to Chicago to try Au Cheval. He knew about their location LV, but none of us had tried their original location in Chicago. So we drove into Chicago, arriving at the restaurant at 11 (it opens at 10am). There was a check-in stand set-up outside, where someone was taking names/phone numbers to put on the waiting list. We were quoted a 45 minute wait, and got the text to hurry back after about 30 minutes. There was a line to put your name down on the list, so we skipped that by going right in. The friendly hostess seated us in a booth, with a nice view of the kitchen where they were making the burgers in mass. The waitress explained that a single burger meant two patties (each patty is 4 oz, so basically a half pound burger), and a double meaning three. My brother and his son both ordered a double cheeseburger ($19.99 each), and I got a single with added sunny side up egg ($21.48). I wanted my wife to be able to take a bite, so asked for everything to be on the side (sauce, dill pickle slices, and grilled onion bits). We also ordered french fries ($8.99), cooked in duck fat. In the meanwhile, followed a fellow yelpers suggestion and got two Allagash Whites ($9 each) for me and my nephew. It's a really good beer that I've had many times during happy hour, and goes great with rich, greasy food. My wife got something else: the General Janes Chicken, which is their version of Korean Fried Chicken ($24.98). She enjoyed it (the coating was still crispy, and the sauce had that pronounced kochujang flavor that we like). Everything is a la carte here (except for the complementary pickle spear with burgers), so she shared in the ordered fries. Food came out together and was served hot. There is a mandatory 3.25% surcharge, and payment is taken at the table. As mentioned, service was excellent throughout. To be honest, I'm not the right person to judge a burger like this (I like it backyard style, with a lot of lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles...and mayo/ketchup). But my brother and nephew are (they have tried many, many burgers all across the world, and don't like too much toppings on their burger), and they said the burger was just OK for them. I liked the frites (cooked in duck fat)...very light in color, but still crispy on the outside. However, nobody else really ate them, saying they weren't great. It's unusual for me to be the least critical after dining, but I'm sure it had something to do with the observation that I didn't have to pay for it (since it was my brother's treat).

Our dinner guide, Nicholas, was superb. Very knowledgeable about the menu and suggested two perfect spirits from the bar. My wife had the Irish old fashion which was excellent. I had a vodka Gimlet, which also was superb. Palate pleasing! The meal was absolutely enjoyable. I enjoyed the Curry Chicken. The thigh meat was tender and succulent. The curry was sweet and creamy. It came with pita bread which added to the dinning experience. Just wonderfully enjoyable. My wife enjoyed the Fish and Chips which beat Bobby Flay. True words from the menu. Wife said if was the best fish and chips she has ever had. Then came the dessert. Now I asked Nicolas and he suggested Pavlova and Blood Orange. Which lead me to survey Margaret and she suggested Sticky toffee date cake. After a friendly jostling back and forth of desert knowledge Greg the Maitre-d made also suggested the Sticky toffee. Both came and to be honest both were outstanding. Excellent choices. All and all this was a great dinning experience from beginning to end. We will return next time we are in Chicago.
