I had a long wait for my flight and saw there was a burger place, so I walked over to concourse L. I ordered the BLT burger - it was amazing! It was perfectly cooked and well worth the price. I also have to mention that the bun was delicious, I don't usually Have much to say about a bun, but this one deserves a shout out. I would definitely go there again if I am at O'Hare. I would say a pretty good spot for a out of the way burger place at O'Hare. Burger cooked fresh and side salad was really good. They were very accommodating leaving the bun off the burger and gave me a bunch of salad. Price was a little high but was expected at the airport. I got the Italian burger, while it was good, the amount of the fresh basil took me by surprise. The woman who was standing at the counter when I walked in was not the most helpful but she got the job done. When I walked in I had asked if I needed to order at the counter or if I could sit down and order. All she said was "yeah order here." Took my order and that was all. Not a bad experience with the woman per say, she just isn't someone I'd label as approachable. Once I sat down to wait for my order I realized that I could have in fact sat down and ordered and I didn't have to get it as a to go order at the counter. This ruffled my feathers a bit but I still got my food and ate all the same. The burger was okay, nothing to rave about and the fries were so so. Decent but not great. Food ordered was subpar to say the least. French fries were over salted and I can handle a lot of salt plus served cold. Clearly a new batch wasn't bothered to be made and they just served existing resting fries. Cold. Buffalo turkey sandwich received two bites from me and properly tossed into the trash. Actually gave the uneaten food over to gal at the counter bc I didn't see any trash to discard it myself. I didn't ask for money back nor did I make conversation about it at all. Before people get into an uproar about "how can they fix the problem if you don't tell them" this staff really didn't appear to care whether or not I said anything. This was the only dining option near gate L20-24 at ORD. There was only one counter open. As soon as the person in front of me left, the other counter opened (and the lady behind the first counter got busy instead of attending me) and instead of calling me the person standing next to me was called. I had to wait until they were done and actually had to demand that i was next. Not at all courteous. Expensive and not worth the price charged. They charge $3 extra for a vegan patty instead if just substituting like other places do. However, they didn't have the vegan burger patty as i preferred and I ended up buying a sandwich without any patty. In-spite of no patty, they had sparingly filled between the buns and i felt like i was literally eating only bread. I felt cheated when they made me a lean sandwich and i was charged the price for a burger. A 700 ml bottle of water was $5. A vending machine would have been a better choice. Total money spend: $20. Airport burger joint which to my surprise was pretty darn good. Sit down or take away options and a full bar. Considering other O'Hare options I will return here. Good burger with side salad. Not a fries person. Burger arrived quick on a toasted bun and did not need condiments it was that tasty and juicy. It wasn't a huge burger and I'm fine because I don't need a ginormous meal before flying. Service was friendly and on point. Real utensils, not to thin and nicer tumblers for beverages. Not sure what happened to all these other folks, but I found the burgers to be quite tasty and very interesting. Had the French Connection and my son had the Chicago Classic with fries. Everything was fresh and hot. No issues with service either - they came multiple times and refilled drinks and the lady at the register was very nice. Hamburgers were good I can eat here again. But we asked the guy if they would change the channel to watch the cubs play. Since no one was in the watching tennis or the video game. This place is a joke. The bartender, Kurtis, ran around making drinks and taking orders for nearly the entire restaurant while his manager stood behind the bar and ATE A BURGER. The guy had no help but kept his composure. When a another guest tried to confront the manager she ran away. I have contacted the corporate office regarding the treatment of my brother at this establishment. Since when it is acceptable to deny service to a paying customer simply because their "movements" were deemed "odd" by another customer? He is a disabled adult, but more than that- he is a human being who deserved respect and consideration as a paying customer. Very disgusted. Considering a lawsuit at this time. Let me start by saying that this place is the only place near the L20-L24 gates for food and drink (besides a Starbucks), far away from other gates and restaurants/stores in the rest of terminal 3. My boyfriend and I decided to grab a bite and a drink while we waited for our flight to board in 2 hours. No one greeted us while we looked confused on how the place worked...do we order first then sit down? We asked, can we sit at the bar and grab a drink. We were told yes, around 8:30pm, not being told that they close at 9pm. Our bartender, Roberto, was super nice and the only good part of the experience had. After we take a few sips of our beer, have our food ordered, the MANAGER, starts yelling at the bartender telling him for all to hear that the place is closed/closing and people need to leave, take drinks/food to go and that she isn't trying to have people in the place at 9pm. A woman next to us sat down 10 minutes after us without being told they closed at 9pm (she was told by other places in the airport that they closed at 10pm). The continuation of events was uncomfortable and frankly, rude. The bartender tried serving those that had sat and were never told they were closing any time soon while being scolded by the manager that he needed to stop taking orders or tell the last next to me who put in the last order of the night that her food would be coming out in a box to go. She told the ladies next to us that their second glass of wine would need to be to go because they were closed. We just received our food, (which by the way, Tyson boneless buffalo wings would be better than the ones that I ate). While my boyfriend and I scarfed down our meals just so we could have a place to sit and a table to eat at, the MANAGER continued to scold, be rude to customers, put chairs up at tables people were sitting at who were trying to finish meals they had paid for. We feel bad for the bartender who continued being nice to the customers because they are the only food around. We asked for cups to go for our basically full beers, finished our food and left. Never have I felt more uncomfortable and unwelcome in a restaurant. Our bartender/server Roberto was super nice and great. We sat down at around 8:45pm and no one told us that they closed at 9. At 8:50pm, the manager was yelling at our bartender/server that they close at 9pm and started kicking everyone out. Handing out checks, pulling seats, drinks in to go cups, yelling at customers that they were closed. I've worked in the service industry and just because a place says they close at a certain time doesn't mean you don't help out the people who want to eat and drink.
