Great burgers. Not sold on the Chinese food. Very inconsistent quality for that half of their menu.

I've eaten here about ten times in the last three months, it's excellent! My favorite burger is the P-Town Burger with fries, but really every burger they offer has gotten rave reviews from my family and friends. The french fries are excellent, the buns are fresh, and the burgers themselves are very flavorful. (Just make sure to ask for no pickles if you don't like them, they aren't listed in the ingredients but almost all the burgers come with them). The staff is always super friendly, I'm looking forward to trying more of their teriyaki type food! And if you're trying to call in an order and keep getting a busy signal, keep trying! This place is on point!! Great burgers, super flavorful and cooked to perfection, but the real gem is their house fries and Philly egg rolls. You almost have to be looking for this place. Came here after we were told about it. Dual menu, classic American burger side and Asian. We went with the "Jim Burger" and a Mongolian Beef. The burger we were told is ground daily and handmade. Great bun, very filling, the kind of burger you need 4-5 napkins to eat! So good. Fries had a light batter, crispy, hot, also great. The Mongolian came with white steamed rice, plenty for two, beef was a nice cut, not the mushy questionable cuts you see other places, came out hot. Sauce is on the sweeter side but is just right. Inside decor is slight, but we will come back for the food for sure! Don't care if I had to sit on the floor, food is excellent. Can't wait to work my way down the menu! Why didn't we come here sooner?!? Burger was good, tried the bacon cheeseburger with fried egg. It's a pretty big burger, fresh and tasty, nothing fancy. Order of curly fries, big portion of these show up. Again, tasty. Honey sesame soy chicken with spicy addon. So good. Another big portion, super tasty, nice and spicy (with the addon). Well. It's a local spot. And it's good ! My Jim burger came HOT and my fries super hot. The fries are the battered and fried kind super tasty. And I got a pile !! A large Serving ! The Jim burger is a 1/3lb patty with bacon ham onion mushrooms and jalapeños. With American cheese. It was done correctly. Smash style it was hot ! I liked it a lot. I'll be back to try a few more. I was here at 1:30 on a Tuesday. So no waiting. Super fast service and happy people. While I was eating it got crowded. Such a simple place. So they got it right. Greasey burgers. And Chinese. Decided to stop by as we were coming back from Palmer to Wasilla. Got home and we didn't get our fries that we were charged for. Called to tell them and all they wanted to do was give a credit. "They keep it in a book". I wanted my money back because I don't know the next time I'll be back in there. Then the manager said he could give me a refund but I'd have to drive back over there to get the refund. What a bunch of thieves. Turns out we didn't even get the correct order. I love burgers and my wife loves Chinese food so this is a marriage made in Heaven! Burgers and fries are good and my wife thought the Mongolian Beef was great. Our first time eating there but we will return! The people who work there are very nice and thoughtful. The young man working there opened the door for my wife as she's using a scooter to get around because of an injury and he checked to see if we needed anything. Good service but charged for a cup of ice after we bought a bottled soda there which was not cool. read more

My husband and I were in Palmer visiting family, ( from California) and this is one of the places I wanted to try, because the kids love it there. I was pleasantly surprised! I've been enjoying Burger Jim since the 90's and hasn't changed one bit other than opening a Valley location. It's time to open another location on KGB, you listening BJ? The House fried rice is the bomb! In my opinion the HFR is better than any local Chinese restaurant in the Valley . Mongolian beef is pretty good too. I love their Jim burger & fries. Customer service is first rate, if a mistake is made, they take care of it no questions asked. First Impression: Kinda on the dirty side. Floors are clearly under appreciated by the resident mop, and the visible kitchen equipment bears the ghosts of a thousand long ago consumed burger patties. I've seen worse still pass a health inspection.... Menu Selection: Typical for a burger stand, with added items like egg rolls and some good asian fare. Quality: About average among its peer group of eateries. The burgers are delicious, and they serve really good fries. The Chinese food is pretty good too. Value: Prices are actually lower than the competition. A burger, fries, and a drink at Burger Jim is about 15% less than at the chain restaurants with which it competes. Service: Well, not everyone can be Jeeves the Maitr'd. I ordered by phone and went to pick up my food. I had to wait until the teen aged counter guy was off the phone with his girl friend (I'm a professional eavesdropper), by which time my food was experiencing a bit of a cooling trend. Try the house fries. Just keep in mind these things are clearly not meant to be finger food. You'll need two utensils to eat these. First, you'll obviously need a fork. Second and not as obvious to the uninitiated, you'll need a cardiologist. Make sure both are present at your table setting before you begin. If you're unfamiliar with how to place the cardiologist, place them on the right of the plate like you would for the knife and/or spoon. You'll need them at your right hand. read more

Went from 5 to 1 rating. Don't waste your time here. Will not recommend or visit this place again. Visited 1/15/22. Spent over $60 . No Ice (they sell it next door at Liquor Store). Had a Luke warm fountain drink-gross. They screwed up my order , accused me of not ordering correctly, then wanted me to repurchase fries for $5 to get the right one. Next 50 cent for BBQ cup, which I paid. Then was told I would be getting replacement order out to me by staff from back, never showed, The Straight fries greasy. Their specialty burger was cooked to crap, but still managed to be soaked from Garlic sauce, more like grease/water puddle. Next my husbands prawns and got an extra long hair in it. We didn't complain , no once noticed or asked about our food satisfaction. (Noticed staff will long hair had no nets, hair past shoulders). To further disappoint while we are picking at the bad food, we did get, staff brings another customer a side and didn't charge them. It's too bad this place sucks now ! They lost a regular customer, Glad there are other restaurants to patronize in the Valley, that care about their customers. read more
