the inside of a sandwich wrapped in plastic

Horrible place. We only stopped here because taco time is closed for a remodel. The burgers were old and soggy, customer service was nonexistent - a huge line of people with staff hanging out on the phones and not working. Dining room was blocked off, my chicken sandwich was soggy and when I told the worker his response was "order a fresh one next time" WTF! Avoid this place.

Jr bacon cheeseburger whopper, forgot the bacon

They forgot the bacon on the bacon burgers, my burgers were literally cold as if they were cooked and had been on the counter for an hour. I'm not one to judge fast food cuz it's fast food but worst encounter I've had in a long time. The fries were good though and warm. The person taking our order also yelled at us cuz we didn't respond soon enough on the drive through thing. Anyways I love a good Burger King but don't waste ur money at this one unless it's for fries.

Total lack of flavor. 2 for $4 seems like a good deal until you taste them. :(

Stopped in here only because I needed to use a bathroom and I saw the 2 for $4 croissan'wich deal on my way out. I thought it was good deal so I ordered it. Service was friendly. Service was slower than it should have been since the girls were checking their cell phone and not putting my 2 croissan'wich's into a bag so I can get to work. The croissant part of the sandwich reminded me of wet "thin" layers of paper. - NO FLAVOR The egg part of the sandwich was like: "HUH? there was egg on this sandwich?" - NO FLAVOR The sausage had some flavor to it... and to be honest it was the only reason I ate 1 sandwich. I ended up throwing away the other sandwich. Only reason for 2 stars and not 1 is that I got to use the bathroom.

It is so dirty. It's disgusting

There has been a change in ownership/management, and the food is better. It was always good, but…read moreit's gone up a notch. I get takeout about once a month from here as part of our weekly rotation of "I don't feel like cooking tonight." Typically we get a hamburger and a cheeseburger, fries and onion rings. We split the very large portion of fries and the onion rings as well. Last night the guest in front of me ordered the jalapeño burger and I thought "Jalapeño? I didn't know they had that!" It's listed on the menu, but when you go to a place for a long time (for us, since the early 1990s), you kinda stop looking at the menu. So I tried the jalapeño burger, and I very pleased that they didn't just throw raw slices on the burger but instead grilled them a bit. It packed some heat, but without that raw grassy taste that you get from an uncooked pepper. The fries are usually quite quite good, and the onions rings can be a bit too well-done, so we ask for them "not too crispy!" and they're much easier to eat. You can get sauces such as ranch dressing for the onion rings at an extra cost. Other condiments like mustard, mayo, and ketchup are either on the burger itself or come as a free add-on. They have bison chili, and I've always wanted to try it, so I'll get that next time. The place is like one of the old-time burger shacks that you found on the side of the US highway system back in the 1940s, 50s, and 60s, which makes sense, because the main drag through North Bend used to be US 10 (which is replaced by I-90 3 miles to the south). It has a bare bones inside seating area, a front patio that is great in the summer but yikes it's cold in the winter, and their public bathrooms are available only from the outside. Prices tend to be midrange to a bit higher than a chain fast food place, but the food is better IMO and you're supporting a local business.

My first time here, although I visit Northbend quite often. This is a cute spot that I have been meaning to check it out for quite sometime. I was the only one in line and ordered a double hamburger. I looked away from the girl at register for a moment to double check the menu to complete my order, when I looked back I caught her giving mocking hand gestures towards me suggesting she was extremely impatient that I was reading the menu. She tried to cover it up, but the point was taken. Again, my first time here and nobody was in line behind me. I was trying to see if they had a combo option, which they do not. Not a positive experience, to say the least. I will not be back. Extemely rude. I'm sure others have had positive experiences, but there is no way I can justify supporting this business again with that type of customer service.

A lot of the plate dishes that you order will probably be boxed up from the buffet. There are also quite a few burgers on the menu. I have not tried the burgers, but I tried a few items from the buffet, and the taste of everything was very good. There was a lack of vegetarian options, though there were several chicken dishes, but only shahi paneer and matar paneer for the vegetarians. They said that some days they also make dal. There was also some veg soup choices in the buffet. The chicken tikka masala tasted like the chicken tikka had been made in the tandoor and it tasted good. The chicken malai tikka was also pretty decent, even though heavy on the cream. I liked the basmati zeera rice and the raita. The shahi paneer was good but the matar paneer was too red and weird although the taste wasn't bad. The salad vegetables seemed like they had been sitting out all day and were all wilted. I would not eat the raw vegetables. The gulab jamun in buffet was ok but a little dense. The chai was tasty but totally cold. I was there at 5:30 PM so it was off peak time so that may be the reason. I ordered a samosa chaat. The samosas were good and hot, but chutneys left a lot to be desired. The green chutney tasted more like pesto, and the tamarind chutney tasted completely off. The yogurt was decent. The chole (chickpea curry) that came on the samosa chart was quite spicy and more like a curry rather than a chaat item. I would avoid the chat items at this place until they improve the taste of their chutneys. There are only two guys in the restaurant they are doing everything from cooking to cleaning to being the servers and cashiers. They are very friendly, but very busy, so you may not get attention if you need water or something else to be served to.you. The owner Jassy needs to hire more people if he wants this restaurant to provide proper service! It is a pretty big space so it has a lot of potential, if they can improve on the service and the atmosphere. Overall, I am giving it four stars, because a place like this was needed in North Bend, and the taste of their buffet was pretty good. However, they need to improve some aspects for this place to flourish.

Leaps and bounds better than it used to be. The whole time I was there I was comparing every item to Scott's Dairy Freeze, who is clearly Herfys biggest competition. So how did they fair? First, Scott's always has a line on hot days, sometimes a very long one and you'll be waiting for 15-20 minutes to order. There was no line and we ordered right away. They had a wide selection of burgers and I got the bacon sourdough burger with fries and onion rings and a Blackberry milkshake. The burger was great, especially for the price. It was too saucy, but otherwise no complaints. All told, it was MUCH better than the burgers I get from Scott which taste ok but also feel like a heart attack going down. Herfys burger for the win! However, Herfy's fries were mediocre. They were McDonald's style, which I'm not a fan of. Scott's has battered fries that are fantastic. Scott's fries blow Herfy's out of the water. Onion rings though go back to Herfy's. They are panko breaded and crunchy. Not much seasoning, but solid. I would have loved a little seasoning on it, but even so, these were far better than what Scott's has to offer. Finally, the milkshake. This is what Scott's is famous for, but I gotta say, I enjoyed my blackberry milkshake from Herfy's just as much as the milkshakes I order from Scott's. Im surprised by this, but I think it's a tie. Herfys may even squeak by with a win because Scotts does a terrible job of mixing in their flavors or malt (it's always a clump at the bottom for me). I will absolutely go here again. Hopefully they read this review and change their fries though. If Herfy's can match Scott's fries in quality, and can keep their buns from getting soggy, then Herfy's would hands down be the superior choice to Scott's.
