Always a great pick me up whenever my wife and I are needing a quick bite on our way home we come to BK. They also have soft serve ice cream cone at $1.50 which reminds me of the good of days when you could get a good value for a cone. We went thru drive thru for the sponge Bob meals. While the staff was friendly-they missed in several fronts. The pins colada shake was supposed to have a coconut foam. Ours ( all 3) did not. We were told the cheesy bacon gator tots were sold out so we were substituting regular cheesy tots. The Patrick Star pie was sold out and we were told we would be given a different dessert. "I'd give a negative 20 stars if I could, but for the sake of the review, I have to give one at least to post it. Anyways, this Burger King on 5150 Mayn Avenue, Reno, Nevada is by far the worst. It's the worst of all evils. I went there in the drive-through with my mobile order placed ten minutes ahead of time, okay? Once I placed it, I got to the drive-through; it was just one item, Double Whopper with jalapeños. I got there; there was nobody in the line in the drive-through. I got to the box; they told me to hold on. I was sitting out there for eight minutes at least, I lost track, must have been longer. They finally asked me a question, go, you know, can we help you; you rule the text speech they give you. And I told them the name of the order. So I pulled up, no cars in front of me still. I go to the window; it takes them two minutes to open the window, and they try to verify the order. I'm like, yeah, I'm the only car here, of course I'm here for, and I put in my name. Anyways, go there. I waited another five minutes, and I can see four people in the front front of the grill there going back and forth. Anyways, one or two of them goes out for a smoke break, uh, when I leave I notice two of them. And then they tell me they don't open the window for like another ten minutes to tell me, hey, what's going on, like, for example, we're sorry for the wait, we had a hiccup, there's a problem, blah, blah, blah. They just they look like they were like waving their arms and hands and just talking. And I'm like, how come there's nobody going back to the window explaining why my order is taking fifteen minutes at the window? And the girl says, I don't, we got one cook. I said that's that's the norm for this Burger King. Give me a better excuse. Well, I found out that they're they're they're giving precedence and priority to the Grubhub, DoorDash, and, uh, Postmates, Uber Eats drivers. So yeah, their lobby is only busy with takeout orders, unlike Taco Bell that gives, uh, precedence to the customers in the drive-through over the DoorDash drivers. They do the opposite at this specific Burger King. They give preference to the delivery drivers, not the customers in the drive-through. So, and every time I go here, there's a problem. Then one time I went there, there's nobody in line, last Wednesday, Whopper Wednesday. I went there; same problem; I didn't wait quite as long, and I asked her, I said, well, why is the wait so long? There's nobody in the drive-through, and I placed a mobile order. She said, oh, we've been really busy. I'm like, there's nobody here. What are you talking about? Nobody in the line, nobody in the drive-through. I'm the only one there. And you're telling me you got slammed because it's Whopper Wednesday? I'm like, well, we're all the customers, and what's the excuse now, at this moment? I'm just yeah, it boils down to the owner, the management. They probably hire just anybody, no qualifications, anybody with a heartbeat, bipedal, they'll hire them. That's their hiring process. I don't know, uh, the management or the franchisee owner of this place really needs to get his or her ass in gear and manage much better because this is a failing location. Wow, it's been a year since my last review. Here we go. Walk in order. Everything looked nice and clean inside. Was greeted immediately and then the young man took my order. Was able to use my app to get rewards as well. It had been forever since we had Burger King . I placed my order and it only took about 5 min to get all the food. Everything was nice and fresh and hot ! Took home and was still good temperature to eat. I had the double whopper with cheese, extra mayo, and ketchup with large onion rings. The burger tasted good. They got everything right and the onion rings were nice and crispy. All the other food for fam was correct and good as well. No complaints. Was a good night of Food. Enjoy !!!! read more

This Burger King has a low rating for a reason. Tried to use my free whopper with $3 purchase and I was told I had to mobile order it. NOWHERE on the app or the deal itself does it say that. So basically I paid $18 for something that I was expecting to pay $13 and if I paid the $18 I could have at least gotten a drink out of it for an extra 50 cents. I freakin hate this place. I love Burger King's burgers. But given the level of service here, I am not surprised that the In-N-Out across the street is always busy and this place is empty. I walked in and stood at the counter. Two different employees saw me and ignored me. One came up to the counter to give someone else their food and then turned away. Didn't even tell me that they would be there in just a minute. The employees clearly don't care about their jobs. This is the reason that AI will soon take over these positions. And I'm sure this Burger King will finally perform better. With our Reno snow, rain, and wind, I have been using more and more delivery services and decided to get breakfast delivered. I typically am not a fan of fast food, but ordered for my son and was having challenges getting a competitor to deliver. I ordered a couple of pancakes and sausage platters. I grew up a regular fan of Burger King, but have moved away from meats. Be that as it may, our two granddaughters, aged 11 and 9, were hungry for a cheeseburger and with the nearby In' N' Out establishment very busy with a long line, we decided to give the girl's their first trip ever to a Burger King - and it will most assuredly be their last. My wife who is not familiar with the BK offerings asked for a soda, cheeseburger, and fries in their drive-through for each. My wife then apologetically volunteered that she wasn't familiar with the BK offerings and would appreciate any help in ordering, but nothing was offered. When pulling up to pick up the food, the attendant just provided two COLD burgers and an UNMELTED slice of American cheese on each. Where were the fries we ordered? They were not to be found. NO FRIES! The Attendant said that we didn't order them and then refused to convert the order into a "meal" because she did not WANT to refund my wife's card. She then also refused to provide us any fries and asked us to "get out of her drive through." This miserable, obnoxious window attendant was not the rudest person we've recently encountered. SHE WAS THE RUDEST SERVICE PERSON WE'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED. The $8.00+ burgers were not edible and our upset granddaughters only wanted to go home and tell everyone. In a state of shock, either they nor we have ever had a comparable experience. This location may not have a lot of stars, but they seriously have some of the most chill employees. We just went through the drive thru @ 7:50 pm on 06/10 and the gentleman working has officially become my favorite employee there. I wish I would have asked his name, but I spaced. This employee has an exceptional attitude every time I go through the drive thru. Even when he has been slammed in the past he still keeps his composure and handles customers in a kind and timely manner. He also puts a punch on his opening line when you approach the drive thru which shows he has a fun customer oriented personality. Our order was freshly made and well put together. With most fast food burger chains, quality is usually overlooked, but Burger King does its best to provide quality with efficient service. Great this evening's late night adventure, we found out this location serves the limited time spooky sandwich called the Nightmare King. It's made with a quarter pound of their flame-grilled beef, a crispy chicken filet, melted American Cheese, bacon, onions, and mayonnaise and topped with a green sesame bun. I'm not going to lie it kinda freaked me out at first glanced. But after taking a few bites, it wasn't so spooky. Basically was a chicken burger and a bacon cheeseburger mashed together. It was a hearty burger and I was pretty full towards the end of it. It tasted good and satisfied my cravings. Burger King is a fast food chain and as such, just don't have high expectations. Their burgers, in my opinion, does it's best to provide both quality and efficiency along with good customer service. The Nightmare King was a fun way to celebrate Halloween. That happened to me on Independence Day, a holiday when one of the ways I celebrate the Land Of The Free (or used to be free, the tyrants were working hard to steal our freedoms in 2020 using an easily-treated virus as an excuse) is to go to a choke & puke and eat the biggest burger they have. Problem: I had three on my list in the Reno area, and they were all closed for the holiday. Then I recalled that Burger King has a different way of cooking their patties. An old commercial says "flame broiled, not fried", a method that preserves its taste. On my way back from Carson City, I saw this BK from the freeway, so to BK I went. Drive-through only, one of the restrictions in 2020 was "no indoors dining". I ordered a BK King combo. The woman at the microphone said "And what would you like to drink? We offer Jack Daniels and Budweiser." Fast food is a thankless job to have, so I appreciate it when someone who works there makes the customers' day in a unique way, like she did. And me being a jokester, I joked with her right back, about driving up Virginia Street after drinking a Bud. As I sat on the bank of the Truckee River, I enjoyed what was probably a half pound beauty. Not a knock-your-socks-off taste, but passable, and it sure beats McDonald's. I like In-n-Out a lot, but Burger King added enough things to this burger to make it taste better than a double-double.
