Went in with a family member to give them another try. We got one large sandwich and one medium sandwich, no chips, sides or drinks and the bill was almost high for what we got. I can eat in a regular restaurant rather than a fast food sandwich for less that what I paid here for two sandwiches that had little meat and cheese. A few years ago, I had a friend pick up a couple sandwiches for lunch at my house and the sandwiches had a good amount of meat and cheese, so they now have cut back and raised the prices. This is fast food so it should not cost one bill each person plus tip. And then they ask you to round the bill up for the Fireman's Fund. Another thing, one of our sandwiches was on the daily discount menu board for a medium. I think it would have been nice for the person at order counter to tell us. The board was turned backwards so walking in the door you could not see the daily specials until after you order. For the price I paid, I will eat at many of the good restaurants in Reno where you can order from the table and be served. read more

We've been here a few times and it never disappoints. The subs are always tasty, the staff are super friendly, and the place is open and bright with lots of great firehouse decor. There are also TVs that usually have some sort of sports on. It's really a great spot to grab and go or to order and eat in. Very chill and down to earth. Hit this spot up recently with my oldest after her appointment. The lady cashier was very sweet and friendly. However I'm not a huge fan of the business itself. The sandwich I ordered was mehhh, and extremely small for the price. So to start i really enjoy these Sandwiches. I have had a few different ones and they are delicious. I would give 5 stars but........ My only drawback is the wait time. This evening 7/21/22 i went at 7pm granted dinner time for most but it took 45 min for 1 Sandwich. Thats a long time. Unfortunately i feel they are under staffed as is everyone tho. A couple were online / or call in orders but others were just waiting. Give yourself time if going to get a sandwich especially during lunch time time . We went to Firehouse Subs on Friday. My husband had the meatball sub and I had the pork sandwich. I am still getting used to taking pictures of my food, excuse me for totally being into an incredible new sandwich, that I forgot to take pictures! I apologize! I like pork a lot, but I rarely order it. So, I ordered the pork and slaw sandwich. It comes on a very nice hamburger type bun. The bun had a great flavor and was soft and fresh. The pork was piled nicely high along with the cole slaw. They have a good dressing for the sandwich. It's a slightly sweet and zippy (not hot) flavor. They do not overdo the sauce. The flavor combination of the "yummy" slaw and the pork with sauce is a great flavor pairing! This sandwich is very yummy! My husbands meatball sandwich is as always very good! The establishment is clean, the workers polite and accommodating. It was snowy and cold, but inside the restaurant was comfortable, not cold and not hot either. Thank you again Firehouse subs for a nice addition to the specialty sandwiches. I missed the prime rib sandwich this winter, maybe we can see it sometime late winter before the spring starts. Then was charged twice called the bank in front of him and he was told by the teller I was charged twice 2 different amounts for the same order. Please take in mind my daughter did NOT eat and the total was 54.76 for 2 16.99 footlongs no drinks no side that was the second charge the first was 44.29 but again for 2 subs... he refused to do a refund even though qe had both receipts and proceeded to tell me that the transaction failed ...though clearly shows it debited twice...been a week and 3 days ...still NOTHING... The sandwiches are always hot, made to perfection and truly consistent! They have a varied menu and it's best to put you're order in on the app, saves so much time! This is actually for the new location on 5th st. First time I've ever had these subs. I got a Turkey sub and I got a Turkey salad. Loved both! Not chincy on the meat, great flavor and toasted bread. This is a good sandwich shop. I went in around 12:30. They had several people making sandwiches. The line moved quickly. The sandwiches came out fast. I tried a sandwich that was being featured on a poster. It had cream cheese, a sweet mustard and several types of meat. I don't love the shredded lettuce approach to sandwiches. It always seems like more of it ends up on the floor than in the sandwich. But the ingredients are fresh and high quality. I'm not sure this would be my first choice of sandwich shops, but it's worth a visit. read more

I had this sandwich bought for me, and thats why i am rating it a 3. It was just ok. I dont even know if its a good deal for the price, as i dont know the price. I am glad i tried them, been wanting to! I received the roast beef sandwich box, which included a sandwich (lettuce, onion and tomato), a bag of BBQ chips, a pickle spear, a packet of mayonnaise, a packet of deli mustard, and a giant chocolate chip cookie. The sub: alot of bread to meat ratio, however, everything was fresh and tasted decent. Nothing special really, but im a huge fan of Jimmy Johns and Pub N Sub. The chips were great, crunchy and delicious. I forgot what brand they were, but i took a pic of the entire lunch box. Pickle spear was fresh and seedless? A little strange. The packets of mayo and mustard added flavor to an otherwise dry sandwich. I bet the sandwiches would have been better with vinegar, oil and spices, more meat too, but that wasnt the option we had. I think the first and last time I had a firehouse sub was somewhere circa 2005 on the east coast. So it has been a while! I was in the mood for a good sandwich and being gluten free, my options are limited. After a quick yelp search, I learned of this new location and their gluten free bread options. Sold! Not 15 mins later, I was in the store placing my order. I like firehouse because they serve their sandwiches warmed with melted cheese and they have a great array of toppings to choose from. I went with the GF medium club and it did not disappoint. I added hot peppers, cherry peppers, peperocinis, and pickles to spice it up. The sandwich was about $9, gluten free bread +$2 (a little steep, but whatever), and add a combo with chips and drink +$3.50, all amounted to about $15 for lunch. It was definitely on the pricier end of lunch options but it hit the spot. The store was large and clean with plenty of employees working to move people through fast at the lunch hour.
