Went to the drive-thru around 3:10pm on Friday, May 1st. The line was taking FOREVER. When I got to the window, I found out why. The girl at the window (CeCe was the name on her hat) was busy texting on her phone next to the register and didn't take my payment for at least a solid minute after I pulled up. She did more texting while running my card, and then handed me my card and went back to texting. When she got to a good stopping point in her conversation, she put her phone back in her pocket and then wandered aimlessly around the area where they pick up our orders. She at some point came to the window and said "did I give you your drink?" And I said "nope", so she grabbed the nearby drink and handed it to me. Whatever it was, it wasn't Coke Zero. She eventually remembered what her job was and went to scoop my fries and grabbed my burger and made her way back to the window where she stuck her arm out, not even looking in the direction of the window, for me to grab the bag and then she was back to doing whatever was next. No greeting.. no "have a good day".. This location gets worse every time I go there. read more

I have never known of a business who has so many problems as they do here. We sat for about 20 minutes before even ordering one simple item. Why they didn't shut the drive through down or the whole store when they only have 2 people working the whole store is beyond me. All we get is an apology. She has long black hair and glasses. came for 2 sandwiches at breakfast today, she complained that we put the order in 2 minutes prior to coming and said they stop serving breakfast in 30 seconds. This was pointless to say and was an unnecessary snide/rude remark. She proceeded to tell us we needed to wait at window, slammed the window, and finally gave us the food 4 minutes later. Today the food was good and fresh.. I got an original chicken sandwich no mayo add cheese small fries. Didn't get the girls name, but she was the blonde that took our order. and when I got my receipt, she had charged me for a soda so we asked for the soda instead of the change she took the receipt, looked at it, crumpled it up and threw it in the garbage without saying anything and gave me a soda, whichever I don't know which one cause she didn't ask I think Coke I haven't drank it yet. so with employees like her, I feel that your service is super poor. Absolutely horrible service. Takes forever to get your order then all they do is chat while getting your food takes +30 minutes.

I go in to pick up food for a client and I'm about 10 minutes late. I get there and the food's not ready. They keep looking around for it. They're making excuses. It's absolutely disgusting. Meantime, I'm swatting flies because it's warmer today and I don't know if they have air conditioning in Washington but they need to turn it on. There's a guy behind the counter cooking. He has his hair just askew. It should be in a cap or contained. It shouldn't be all over the place. It was quite a bit of hair. It should have been pulled back... This guy is cussing and complaining and just nasty. He finally leaves and goes on a break. Meantime, my food's not ready. So I had to unassign the order and walk out and it wasted my time. This isn't the first time that this downtrodden fast food restaurant has had a problem. They need to get Management in there to change everything... Including their staff who cusses and says offensive words when there's customers in the store? There's a lot of people in this small town that need jobs. I have gone to this Burger King several times in the 13 years I have lived in yelm, it is the worst one I have ever been too, that's including the ones oversees! The food is rarely fresh, always like warm to cold, manager is RUDE, and they are beyond slow. One time I asked why it took 13 minutes in the drive thru but my order was cold and wrong. Manager Mary was very rude to my wife , when my wife showed her mobile receipt for our order with proof that it was paid for and time stamped. Mary said that they can't except it cause it wasn't on her screens, but she could of because we have the proof on the app and she could of gave the 3 small items but instead she would have rather made my wife feel like shit because she spent what she had left for a small treat to make our day better... i do not recommend going to the Yelm Burger king if she still works there. Update: 4th time we've been to BK for the TMobile Impossible Whoppers. This time the Yelm location didn't honor the promotion. Disappointed but at least they told us at the kiosk before we go to the window. Here's a plus: since COVID 19 the inside has been closed. This is the first time in a Long time that I've not been told to go around to the other parking lot for my order to be brought out. They had the drive thru moving like a well oiled machine. I've visited this place just a handful of times and today was definitely better. I ordered their 4/$6 Whoppers with extra mayo and two of their $1 crispy tacos. Their tacos remind me of the ones like Jack in the Box, crispy, flavorful, and a good hand size to hold. However the Whoppers, with all it's fillings, I think this Burger King needs to work on cooking their burger patties. To cook correctly and not over do them. I'll always give places more tries. OFTEN CLOSES BEFORE 11pm. Online says Open Till 11:00 but often they close 10:30 or even earlier. Hasn't always been like this. I saw three kids smoking out back, asked them about their hours all they had to say was they closed early. I work late and can't get there till about 10:45. Big disappointment. read more

Restrictions have been eased allowing for dine-in with spacing between tables, why are dining rooms still closed at Burger King restaurants and limited to the drive-thru? Yes, Burger King locations on Fort Lewis and McChord are fully open for dine-in, Thurston County does allow dine-in with spacing between tables. I give 5-stars for this location since my order was correct and window employee was friendly. I always order my Whopper Sandwich without Mayo and for some reason, this simple step is often overlooked. The accuracy of my order was correct. The taste was just as expected and quantity of ingredients was adequate. Soda was filled to the top and fries were overflowing in the bag (good thing). This location is absolutely horrendous. I understand longer wait times since many places are short staffed, but the quality of the food and the attitude from employees is inexcusable. I order just a regular cheeseburger and I check it immediately and it's cold. I pull forward and go in the lobby to have it remade. The girl at the counter was very sweet, but I kept getting dirty looks from the 2 people making the bugers! I watched them remake the burger and then put it in the microwave to warm it up! I used to love burger king. But now, I will instead eat at McDonald's. The burger king always got our orders wrong. Always! In fact it was rare burger king managed to give us the right soda or sauce. There is very little one can do if not all items are received in the drive-thru. You can go through the line again or, like in my case, you realize you got boned when you get home. There is no ability for a card refund unless you go back to the franchise. The food we did get was in keeping with corporate standards however, we were missing 33% of our order. I used to be a manager at Burger King, so I suppose I have higher standards. Yes, it is a fast food restaurant, but there still are standards. My husband ordered Bacon King meal, large size with a side of spicy chicken nuggets. I ordered a whopper jr with cheese meal with no tomato. We also requested fresh fries and fry sauce. The order was not that difficult, yet it had to be repeated THEEE TIMES! My burger was COLD, no cheese, and the smallest piece of lettuce on it, a dot of ketchup, and it was DRENCHED in mayonnaise (ew). Sure, I would call and complain, which I normally dont do, but they dont answer their phone! Since we have moved to yelm a year ago, we have had food from this bk four times. Each time our food has either been wrong, cold, or both. We are no longer going to give it a try. The staff are rude, sloppy, and not in bk dresscode standards at all. Even had one of the drive thru women talk about how she named her daughter Sativa after marijuana, and about how her 16 year old daughter LOVES her name, and loves weed, and is also pregnant. (Insert eyeroll here) (also, I'm very pro marijuana, but there is a place and time for it, not when you're at work!) An email to corporate and the health department will be made, and my regret of not cooking dinner tonight will be thought about considering we paid 20ish dollars for food that will not be eaten. Went and got dinner for my family they kept messing up, then the on duty manager came across talking snotty saying is it all correct on the menu and would not let me speak to saythere was nothing up to look. We waited in the drive through for what seemed like an eternity, and spent enough money that we could have picked up something from an actual restaurant instead. After paying, the kid actually asked us what we ordered! The coke, which was suppose to be a regular, tasted like artificial sweetener, and they forgot the cheese on my whopper worth cheese...again! I don't understand why it takes them so damn long, because it's not like your food is hot and fresh.
