Easy parking, plus a drive thru. Facility is clean and you can tell they care about running a good business. It is definitely family owned. I ordered 4 burgers for my family. We got the super cheeseburgers and they were glorious. Meat was cooked perfectly, melted cheese, ice cold lettuce, onion and tomato, on a super fresh bun. They had their secret sauce on there and it all worked perfectly. We ordered the onion rings as well and they were ok, not bad but not noteworthy just fried, salty, rings. What a disappointment. All these 5 star reviews. Service, friendly and excellent. I drove all the way from midtown. So I pull up, and there is noone else there. I park on the side of the drive-thru window in the shade. This seems to have set off an alarm for them as someone comes outside and gives me a dirty look. I go inside and the same "gentleman" takes my order, a double super cheeseburger. It rings up at 50 cents more than the menu, so I say, "So the price went up, huh", he could have answered, "yeah, we haven't changed the menu yet", and I would have understood. Instead, he tried to tell me it was tax. I pointed out the menu says $7.49 and it rang up $7.99. Then he tried to tell me it's extra for cheese, even though the item I ordered was a cheeseburger and I pointed that out. Great burgers and fries and also great prices. The owner told us he grinds his own beef and you can tell!! My friend told me she liked it as much as In and Out. I have to agree because I don't like In-N-Out . Lol. The entire restaurant has been remodeled. Everything's clean. Tables, floors, chairs, and windows. Visited on two separate occasions & ordered at the drive-thru. Wait was not long aOreo cookie shake is soooo good! The best per the kids! Fish platter- fried to a nice golden brown. Cheeseburger was delicious- not undercooked or overcooked- French fries were good and did not taste cheap. My favorite is the hot wings, surprisingly very flavorful and seasoned well. I also had the Pastrami sandwich which I didn't care for, it was too salty and dry, a bit tough to my liking. We ordered through the drive through option available here. Customer service was great. The girl was in training (and told us this), but extremely friendly and tried to answer all our questions about the menu. This is a restaurant with REAL food, but the wait time was still very reasonable. We ordered a regular burger with fries. Delicious ! Real patty meat, tomato and lettuce. The burger comes with a house sauce (made on-site but imagine a mix of thousand island with mayo and relish) which made the burger. I ordered a side of the house sauce to dip my fries in and literally crave it every time I think about it. Highly recommend. I also got a strawberry milkshake--you can taste the real strawberry chunks in this. Absolutely delish!! My boyfriend got one of their double patty cheeseburger with fried (he reviewed very well and has gone back here to get this again!) with the banana chocolate freeze drink. Burger Shack came up on my Yelp search and had to give them a try. There used to be a different business called Dairy Heaven but didn't get the chance to try them out before they closed.... with that said here's my review in regards to food, service and restaurant location. Inside is nice and roomy with seating for about 30-40 people I'm guessing. Location is good but the only drawback is that they're a little tucked back from the main road and can easily be missed. Parking is wide open but not many marked parking spaces. Restroom is old and outdated and looks kind of nasty in my opinion (they definitely need to remodel the restroom) add new sink, toilet, floors and paint... max $1500-2000 cost. Now onto the food and that's where they rock!!! The burgers are big and very delicious. Fries are pretty good and they have a good selection of milkshakes. All these reviews have to be fake. I drove a good distance to this place because of the reviews. When I got there I couldn't see any one in front, except for the legs of some dude sitting down in back. After several minutes I was noticed by a guy in dirty shirt who was clearly unhappy about having to help me. He communicated his lack of appreciation for my visit with his eyes and tone of voice. Talk about uncomfortable! But I'm a glutton for punishment and ordered the Western combo. It was a decent sized burger and filled me up. But compared to what's out there for the same price it was worth 3 stars at best. The meat was definitely over cooked and the fries are mediocre. Krinkle Cut Fries we're made hot and to order, and we're very good. As we ate it seems like most customers use the Drive Thu to purchase their awesome ice cream Sundays, and a whole host of other scrumptious looking Ice cream concoctions. I recently visited Burger Shack and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. The food was far from satisfactory--the burger was greasy and lacked flavor, and the fries were soggy and undercooked. Dont get me on the frozen fish sticks they sell as beer batter fish!! Old rotten sea food with rotten tartar sauce. However, the most troubling aspect was the discrepancy between the advertised prices and what I was charged. The prices at the register were significantly higher than those listed on the menu, which is now illegal under the new California law. It's unacceptable for a business to mislead customers in this manner. I would not recommend Burger Shack until they improve their food quality and adhere to proper pricing practices. read more

This place is amazing!! Friendly service , and they actually put care into your order. We ordered the Chocolate Brownie Glacier, Strawberry Cheesecake Glacier and Curly Fries. The Glaciers are very similiar to a Dairy Queen Blizzard, but 10x better! It comes in one size, but you definitley get what you pay for, and It was the perfect size! The Glaciers had so much Brownie bits and cheesecake bits within the ice cream. Dairy Queen would never! It was not a disappointment and this is our new favorite place now. I agree with Gale (another Yelper here) who compared Burger Shack's pastrami to what you can get in SoCal. In SoCal, there's a chain called The Hat, and they make a pastrami sandwich with thinly sliced pastrami that's been dipped in its own jus on a French roll with pickles and mustard. Burger Shack's pastrami is just like The Hat's but not dipped, as Gale also said. I have looked high and low in Sacto for a good pastrami like The Hat, and I found it here at Burger Shack. The pastrami is thinly sliced and great quality. The French roll is really good and not too thick like some places serve. My husband had the super double cheeseburger with no tomato. I had a bite and it was juicy and cheesy. I thought it was really good. I'm picky about ground beef and this was fresh and delicious. He liked his burger but felt it need a bit more salt. (I thought it was seasoned just right.) Crinkle fries were crisp and tasty. Onion rings were good but not great which is why I gave only 4 stars. I ordered a chocolate-dipped waffle sundae with pineapple topping and it rocked. Friendly and quick service. Tables were clean. Highly recommend if you like classic burgers and pastrami! The Hat also does a huge order of chili fries (no beans just meat) with cheese and topped by that thinly sliced pastrami. Burger Shack should add that to their menu.
