I used to live in Fort Worth near Luther Lake. I frequented this location at least once a week. Move just west to Willow Park 20 years ago and rarely get over this way. I stopped in today and nothing has really changed. I got the Giant Turkey sandwich which was excellent. Double mayonnaise cut the mustard with curly fries and a large unsweet iced tea. Everything was just as I remembered maybe better. Meat on my sandwich and bread were both fresh, curly fries were hot with plenty of curly ones in there and tea was fresh, brewed and delicious. Tab came to little under $13.00. Well worth it. And to top it all off the young man in the window was very friendly and incredibly courteous. I went through the drive-through, but they do have a handful of picnic tables there if you want to eat out under the trees. For sure give them a try. I waited about 10 minutes for this BLT, get home (1 mile way), and it's cold. Like it came out of the fridge. The bun is dense and cold, the bacon is cold, What took so long? I don't know if it was because I just biked 12 miles or if it was because I haven't had a burger in a while, but this burger I got here was absolutely delicious. I got a bacon Smashburger and oh my goodness that thing was so good toppings were fresh and included red onions, which you don't see everywhere. I ended up getting the sweet potato fries, which were also very delicious. My friend got the seasoned curly fries, which were also phenomenal. Had not been to a Burger Street in 30 or more years. Hoped it was as good as I remembered. It was. I got two regular burgers, one all the way & one with mustard, onion & pickles, one chili dog, tater tots & chili cheese fries. Everything was very good. There is simply no better place to get a burger in Fort Worth. Burger Street always manages to bring quality to the forefront. Their menu is extensive and none of it will disappoint. The centerpiece of the menu has to be the Double Double. A perfect sized burger with all the expected dressings. Add bacon for an surprisingly tasty accent to an already delightful item. Their hot turkey sandwich is amazing as well. The Chili Dogs are great, the Olive burger is a wonderful change of pace if you're the type who likes olives, and the sides are all great. AVOID! Arlington Cooper store. I was charged TWICE (in different amounts) before receiving my order or being offered my card back. I pointed this out to the cashier who told me that "wasn't true because their system was down". I told her I saw both charges go through. She told me, again, that wasn't true and was "not going to tell me again". I asked for the manager and explained what happened. He said the charges "probably won't go through". This place closes early every night and it's really frustrating. I've gone here every day this week trying to grab food after work and each time they were either pitch black closed no one in sight or they were shutting down and said they wouldn't take my order. I got there even earlier than normal tonight at 8:30 and there was someone in the drive thru and a person at the window. Pull in and the automated message says that they are closed. Had to sit behind and wait for the person in front of me to get their food in order to leave the drive thru line and couldn't even get food. When I have gotten my food recently they haven't done a good job of quality control either. Gave me an almost raw patty recently and I always request no lettuce no tomato and they have given me both the past two time. They also say it's leaf lettuce which I wouldn't even mind but give you shredded and it's so hard to remove if they give it to you by mistake. I can't believe I've never eaten here but I rarely get fast food, which is burgers and fries usually mean to me. I was about to begin my night of tamed debauchery when I realized I had not eaten for quite a while. My friends were running down the list of your normal fast food joints when we just happened to drive by a Burger Street. We decided to stop there. It was not extremely busy but steady. As we approached our turn to order, I could not decide if I want a soft frozen lemonade or a shake for my drink. I asked the young man at the cashier and he looked at me as if I was asking him to solve a quadratic equation, which only meant I was comparing apples to oranges. Knowing I could not make a bad decision, I decided on a shake which was just heavenly. And finally...........I get a fresh, hot, and delicious meal at a fast food place. The burger was excellent and made me remember how fresh fixin's like lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions make a burger superior. Coupled with their hot curly fries made this experience stand out. BS is a little place with a variety of items on the menu such as burgers, turkey sandwich, chicken sandwich, chicken fingers, hot dogs, and chili dogs. They have an olive burger and a chili burger. I have always just stuck with a cheese burger. It's pretty big. Don't expect them to have it ready for you at the window. It takes about 10 minutes or so since it's made to order. Food is fresh. Do the hours differ by location? I'm very confused because every time I go anytime around or after 8, I never know what to expect. I can't control the time I get off and would like to grab food for my family on the way home. Not only that, the last couple of times, the way everyone shares a common attitude for hating their job, makes me wonder what even happens to the food that's being made apparently by force. The example and what really annoyed me was when I called tonight and I just get a quick "yes?" As if I were interrupting something. The reason I was calling was to see if they were open or not because again, I never really know, and then the lady proceeds to say "we bout to close". So I ask her what time they close and she huffs and says "we close in 10 minutes". So apparently it wasn't a good idea to show up at 8:45 because I called at 8:30. I'll be getting in contact with the district manager in the morning because this is insane and I know this review won't really do anything but hopefully stop anyone from coming any time when it's getting dark or the employees feel it's time to close shop for the day. I mean I understand fast food isn't the most exciting job in the world, but nobody forces anyone to have these jobs. I don't understand having an attitude about what you chose to apply to, and wake up and go to every morning. If it's not something you want to do, don't apply in the first place. Or graduate high school. Whatever is easier, it just affects people's dinner when attitudes are that bad. read more
