Country omelette (gravy on the side) and a biscuit.

It doesn't matter what else happened during your visit here, the food makes this a 5 star for me. I got the country omelette with the sausage gravy on the side. It comes with hash browns and I picked a biscuit for bread. Wow. So good. The raspberry jam is amazing. The country gravy was good on everything. Definitely go here. Our server was perfect by the way and the ambiance is great.

We came in at about 8:45 on Mother's Day, table for two and we only waited 15 minutes (there were a TON of parties who were coming in for the holiday, so it was totally fair). Flowers for moms, super cute. Oh - be sure to have your whole party there. Menu was varied enough - we kinda were trying to be healthier, so we got egg-based dishes (California scramble for me, and one of the omelette for him). they were pretty good - but honestly, after watching everyone else's food come out.... I wish I would have got one of the French toast dishes!!! They looked wild (re: huge!!!) and delicious. Come hungry, and prepare to bring home leftovers. Coffee was hot, fresh, and topped off often. Only reason this isn't 5 stars for me is since there isn't really a "basic and small" breakfast option for normies looking to just nourish their bodies and not their souls Server was super sweet - and religious, dropped "God" and "divine" multiple times - but comes with the territory. I don't mind it at all, good vibes is good vibes. I have tattoos and we're mixed race and she was kind, nothing unsafe and nothing wrong about the interaction at all. I know that can make folx uncomfy - but, comes with the literal geographic territory. Overall, would recommend if you're passing through and want to support a small business vs. a chain breakfast restaurant.

A sideways Peach Cobbler French Toast! Delicious!

Skip Perkins and come here! These ladies are fantastic!! Our waitress and the food both superb. There is no way you can go wrong with the Peach Cobbler French toast or the Supreme Omelette served with sourdough bread and fresh raspberry jam. (Seriously some of the best jam we have ever had.) Our waitress was top notch. We watched her not only make our day with her service but the rest of the tables as well!!

We had the best experience at Abra's! Portions are huge, and the food is beyond delicious. The peach cobbler French toast was excellent- not too sweet, and so flavorful, with an amazing texture. Service was attentive, although our food did not come out too quickly- but we attribute that to the party of 18 that was seated right before us, lol! Everyone else at my table raved about the food they got. Definitely a place to go to please a crowd! Will be back!

Breakfast nachos, mini Belgian, waffle, and lots of other great stuff!

The best breakfast in the northwest! We would drive all the way from Utah to have their breakfast nachos or their fanatical Farmer or there are waffles and chicken! We've tried the Idaho Falls location and are looking forward to trying their Twin Falls and Pocatello locations.

Good was 8 out of 10! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and just enough food to not need a box. I don't mind leftovers unless it's breakfast. In my opinion, eggs and toast are trash after they cool off. The over-medium eggs on the Basque were perfectly done. The chicken was tender and juicy. The service was great. Our server was attentive and sweet. The ambiance was relaxing and the perfect temperature. We will be back the next time we are in town. I didn't love the $8.00 Chicken breast but whatever.

I have loved Abracadabras from the first time I ate there. Every time I visit the Idaho Falls area,…read moreI have made it a priority to go. My family has also loved it. Last year, when we came, I noticed on their chalk A-frame, there was a note saying that once your food had arrived, you had 20-25 minutes to eat, and then you needed to leave. I thought it was weird, but I knew they tended to get busy. The food took about an hour to come out, but our experience was still good. This last Tuesday was my last time going there. I have never been treated the way my family and I were. We arrived at around 10 am and went up to the host station. When we got there, the restaurant wasn't that full, and when the host approached us, he asked how many were in our party. The previous night, we had 10 people, so I quickly replied 10. He reacted, surprised, and said, "Ten!" I quickly realized my mistake and said, "Sorry, there are 9". To which he said, "I am sorry, but we can not seat parties with over 8 people." Honestly, I thought he was kidding. It seemed to play into my mistaken party quantity that I had relayed. I then realized he was serious. Again, I looked at the restaurant guests and saw maybe 5-6 parties. After I saw he was serious, he then said, "we are slow, I'll go ask my manager if it would be ok to seat your party." He came back and said, "I'm sorry, but she said that we can't accommodate you." We then suggested that we break up our party and have two tickets to which he readily agreed. As we were being seated, I noticed that one of the groups eating had 9 people. I thought that was strange. But we continued. He sat us at the two tables, and we were given menus. The host and the server were very apologetic, and I do not fault them at all. They were listening to their manager. After a couple of minutes, the host returned and told us that the manager said we had to leave and we could not be served. I looked at him incredulously and said, "Are we being kicked out?" To which he replied, "yes, and that the manager refuses to come out and tell you herself." We demanded to speak with her. She finally came out with her arms crossed and belligerent. She conveyed that she was the only cook and had a line cook that was being trained. When it was pointed out that there was a party of 9 that had been seated, her response was, "they got here first." When questioned asking if a party of 3 and a party of 6 had just come in at the same time, you would seat and serve them, and she said yes. All she needed to do was inform us that they were short staffed or training new employees, and the food may take a little longer to come out. We would have been ok with that. But this manager was perfectly fine with taking money out of her own employees' pockets. By refusing to serve people, she was refusing to allow them to earn tips. Again, the host and other staff were very kind, completely embarrassed by her actions and sympathetic to us. But I am so disgusted by how she treated us that I refuse to return to a place that I have loved for years. If the owners are not aware of her actions, please read your customers' comments. We are not the only ones in the last few months to have bad experiences. If the owners are aware of this, shame on you. Do better. You are losing your client base. Side note: As we were leaving, one of the tables recommended Dixie's Diner. It was just two businesses down. It was delicious, and we were treated how patrons should be treated. I highly recommend Dixie's. Skip Abracadabras.

I heard the other desserts were phenomenal and the steaks were great! - carrot soufflé: highly recommend as a side! Very creamy and tasty and sweet - Gumbo: Louisiana-inspired gumbo with chicken, sausage, & vegetables. It was fine, just had no seasonings which was very confusing for me - Boudin Balls: Our Louisiana-seasoned mixture of pork, Cajun spices, & rice. Served with mustard remoulade sauce. Same as above. Just didn't have the seasonings. Our booth was right under the speakers so it was a bit loud. I made reservations for our anniversary and specifically called out that it was. Upon arriving the hostess asked how many and she went to seat us. I had to tell her that we had reservations. We were seated right next to the kitchen doors. The server came up pretty quick and wrote his name down on the paper. No comment about our anniversary. He seemed very new to the job. The New Year's Eve menu had blackened gator and I had to try it. When it showed up I was not impressed with presentation of the 5 pieces on the plate. The flavor however was great. Good texture and not chewy. Good win. I ordered the lobster and fillet and my wife got a chicken cobb salad. The waiter had to come back to ask how I wanted my steak. When it was brought out I was very underwhelmed. The lobster tail was in pieces. The fillet was horribly cut and looked like a kid butchered it. The lobster pieces were tough and overall not good. The fillet had good flavor but overcooked. My wife enjoyed her salad. The saving grace was the GM Aaron. He stopped by to ask how everything was an I gave him an honest review. He was very open and with us and I really appreciate his feedback. We will definitely come back to try the regular menu and looking forward to Salmon Wellington around Valentine's Day.
