My hopes for this place to be as good as the initial reviews said were dashed when I placed a pretty big order. I ordered over the phone. I had no issues there. It all started when I arrived home and the portions were absolutely way too small for the price. But I would be okay with that if wasn't for the General Tso's and Sesame Chicken was clearly reheated old chicken. This is the second time and will be the very last time I go. I always keep the Burger Win menu on hand in my kitchen- they're my go to for Chinese food in East Atlanta. All of the Chinese food dishes I've had there have been good and the appetizers are really good. We ordered the Crab Rangoon, Hot and Sour Soup, General Tso's Chicken and Vegetable Lo Mein. Everything looked really delicious, but unfortunately was kinda bland and lacking in flavor. I've been getting food here occasionally since moving to this neighborhood 15 years ago but won't be any more. This weekend I got Thai wings and fried rice. The ity bity wings just has some sauce poured over them and hardly resembled Thai wings, and the fried rice was mushy and gross. I'd like to think that if I ever won an award for anything I would thank my mom, my best friend ,and Burger win(g). I have their number on speed dial in my cell phone. I usually call them when I'm on my way out of the bar. The delivery guy has come in my apartment and chilled for a while a few times( sorry if anyone was waiting on food!). They know my name, my number, my apartment code, and my credit card information. haha. They are the nicest people and are always really happy about making your food and delivering it! To prove how amazing they are, one night around 2 am, me and my significant other ordered some wings, but come to find out we are completely out of beer! So we got the crazy idea to see if the delivery guy would buy us some beer from the gas station next to burger win and just add it onto our tab..... HE TOTALLY DID IT. So I not only got my delicious teriyaki wings but also a 6 pack of highlife. Thank you very much burger win! There are two things on the menu that i highly suggest: -teriyaki wings (they don't really taste like teriyaki but they are good as hell!) -mu sho pork wrap (it comes wrapped up in a tortilla and is enough food to feed atleast 2 people) -oh and i don't think this is on the menu anymore but I think it was called "The American Burger" and it was a cheeseburger with a chicken wing and a hot dog on it. Cheap Chinese food just around the corner? A must. Burger Win, although touting a strange moniker, is a perfect "ace in the hole" for Chinese delivery. Believe it or not, they really do have burgers. Can't speak to those, but have seen them on the menu. I can, however, say that the General Tso tofu and chicken are pretty slammin'.... especially with the mountain of fried rice that is sent along with either variety, it's more than a meal. Delivery has always been prompt and friendly, too. I'm thankful for Burger Win. New, cheap, tasty, not completely disgusting, and open late take-out place: CHECK. I don't know why it's taken me so long to try this place, but I feel like that void in my life has been FILLED. Yes, Burger Win lacks... ambiance, but it makes up for it in it's own, grimy little charm, accessibility, simplicity, and even absurdity. Meaning, the whole *burger* thing. I'm a newly christened vegetarian, but I would probably just not eat the burgers, though I'm sure they're quite good. It's just a strange marketing decision, IMO. ANYWAY. My experiences with Burger Win (all 3 in less than a month) have been pleasant, fast, inexpensive and tasty- all without the bizarre assortment of indigestion symptoms and regret commonly associated with similarly prepared Chinese food. This is very surprising considering how it looks... and how it's named. Basically the whole concept of the place. I've gotten tofu dishes all 3 times, and they've all looked a little sub par, but tasted great. Well-textured on the outside, and melty on the inside. Perfect, and all I really want in stir-fried tofu. Very satisfying. I sampled their Pad Thai and it's pretty standard... also tastes really good heated up the next day. Seriously! I can't make this stuff up. So far the food has been great, and the portions are hefty. If you get a rice dish you can easily make two big meals out of that, a plus for cheapos like myself. I actually felt bad that I had such low expectations for this place. America has made me soft- I lived in China for a while and you definitely can't judge a book by it's cover there... just forget the whole concept of books while you're at it. Thankfully, Burger Win has restored my sense of confidence in hole in the wall establishments, and even made me long for China again a little bit. I suppose Burger Win's polar opposite would be P.F. If you're one who's uttered those exact same words, well I say put yourself to the test and check out Burger Win - they serve chinese, malaysian, thai, buffalo wings, and hamburgers and fries. Try that. It's on the corner of Moreland and Mcpherson, just south of I-20. It's not a restaurant. You order your food at the counter and stand, or sit... in one of the 3 chairs available for sitting. Except if you sit, you'll be blocking the counter - so you stand. It's so awesome. Nestled in between 2 gas stations, at an intersection with four gas stations, a Checker, a Krystal, and a Mrs. Winner's, you know this isn't Alpharetta. The neighborhood looks rough and around 6 o'clock, traffic is busy and people stand on street corners for apparently no real reason (well, I could stereotype things and I know why they're standing there.) The lighted sign above the doorway says "Burger Win". The story goes that the new owners simply took the "g" off of the "Wing" and just put the sign back up. (Actually, they got new menus and the real name of the place is Burgers Win. It's an even better name since they primarily serve chinese, malaysian, and thai food - along with burgers and wings of course. Owned and run by an elderly chinese couple, one takes orders and the other goes back to cook everything practically single handedly. Past the counter you can peer into their kitchen and witness a space smaller than the inside of a hummer. Furiously cooking both walk-in orders and the many call in & delivery orders, these people work. Their menu is insanely huge. There are nearly 80 different items. If you have a craving for almost any food from Asia at 2:30 am, this is the place to go. They deliver until 3am, but the last order must be placed by 2:30am. They're also closed Sunday and Monday. I ordered the chicken fried rice with hot teriyaki buffalo wings. You know? It was really good. This isn't fine dining but it's honestly much more preferable than going to McDonald's or any other fast food spot. Seriously, you want genuine hole-in-the-wall chinese takeout? Everything I've had has been outstanding and I am PICKY about Chinese take out. You can't go a block on Moreland near East Atlanta Village without seeing a place like this: a scary looking hole in the wall Chinese joint that sells more wings and fried rice than anything else. Actually, the fact that it's a Chinese place doesn't matter. It could be a hole in the wall Ukranian joint and it will still sell wings to keep the locals happy. The name cracks me up. When this place changed hands last year, the new owners took down the sign which read "Burger Wing" and cut the "g" off the end and put it back up. Hence, Burger Win was unleashed. The best part is that they use the exact same menu as the previous owners so it says Burger Wing on the menu. They must have printed up a ton of them before selling and the new owners just kept them. Anyway...it's a good option if you need late night fried rice or wings. The wings are pretty good as far as wings go, and the family that runs the place is very friendly. Why is it that some of the best, well prepaired food comes from holes in the wall like this?? Why? I can't begin to gush over this small asain/American fare fused take-out situated on one of Atlanta's busiest streets and nestled next to a gas station while it may look deciving, Burger Win is actualy owned by a hard working Malaysian family who all act as chefs, receptionist, and delivery drivers. This is, with out a doubt some seriously good asain food and a lot at that for your money. You get hooked up with some heaping portions here at Burger Win. I recommend the General Tso's chicken. But as for the American part of there food offerings you can't go wrong with there wings! they have a lot of different wing sauces to chose from but there specialty is a batch of wings smothered in garlic parm sauce. This place makes me laugh. It's name, location, and theme add to my chuckles... A Chinese place called "Burger Win?!?" Yup! "And it is really attached to a gas station?!?" Yup!.. In fact, you would not believe how little they most likely pay in overhead for this itsy bitsy ToGo restaurant. Anyhow, the BF and I went to the drive-in last night (The Hangover was hilarious!!!). We were running a little late so, with the help of Yelp, he came across a review of this place. I love some Chinese (in moderation, of course) so, Burger WIn it was. Boy was it cheap! I got the Tofu Curry which came as a huge portion with white rice. He indulged in the Pork Pot Stickers and Boneless Wings. Still, I cannot seem to grasp why Boneless Wings are not just termed "Chicken Fingers" but that's another story. Both of his were edible, but not loved. However, I did like mine. It had a nice spicyness to it, and could provide me the necessary caloric intake for probably 2 days (geez I hope it would not be more than that). At a cost of $6.95, it was a deal!! We also split the Vegetable Egg Rolls which we both thoroughly enjoyed. All of this was a mere $20 and only took (literally) 10 minutes to make. Will we be back? If you're looking for good authentic Asian food in metro Atlanta, the last place you'd look is a take out place attached to a gas station in this part of town, but trust me, this is the real deal. The business is owned and operated by a Malaysian family and they offer some authentic Malaysian dishes. I especially like their Mee Goreng, a Malaysian fried noodle - it's the best in town. The Singaporean fried noodle is good too. Their best dish is the curry puff - a samosa-like pastry filled with curried potato, veggie, and meat. It's better than most curry puffs in Malaysia. Pretty great Chinese food and wings! I really didn't take much time to explore the menu to be honest. I walked in at 12:30 in the morning, checked out the walk-in special white board and got the lemon pepper wings/Pork fried rice combo. $7.95!!!! I was kinda shocked when I saw the price and thought that maybe I'd be disappointed with the portion. Nope! For less than $8 I scored 10 wings and a heaping mound of fried rice. The wings were borderline too salty, but still really great. They were really tender and almost tasted like there was fresh lemon involved instead of some powdered dry seasoning. I'm sure it was just a seasoning given the crazy location connected to a gas station... but hey... I could be wrong. They hit the late night spot. The fried rice was just OK. Not bad not good... just OK. I had to add a little soy sauce back at the house to get more flavor out of it the rice, but given the price, locale and time of night, I accepted the short comings and devoured it all. Perfect late night meal. Burger win.... sigh. What a name. I'll be back. I'm one surprised yelper to say that I actually enjoyed Chinese food and wings from a place called Burger Win. OH! My friends live near the village and are big fans of Burger Win, so we had it delivered last night. I got the Buffalo Hot wings, and while they were good - tasty, crispy and large - they definitely weren't hot (as in spicy hot). Next time I'll go a level higher. Take heed, heat lovers. The grilled corn is GREAT, and my friends both really liked their rather-large burgers (which they had never tried before). That pretty much sums up my experience. I do know that the place is kinda sketchy looking, because I think my friend lived in her house, aware of Burger Win's presence for about 3 years before ever getting around to trying it. CLUTCH is the one word I choose to describe this place. There are very few wing joints open til 2am on the weekend after a bar crawl. I've always gotten my food in 10 minutes or less and everyone is friendly. And they don't do that baby wings crap. Their wings are decently sized. The customer service over the phone was great but my food was terrible! I ordered a 10 piece wing with chicken fried rice as usual. I asked for hot wet wing with lemon pepper sprinkles. The only thing I really order from here is the Singapore noodles. Delicious! I usually get the smaller size because it is way enough. Always quick, hot and they are friendly people. We're still kicking ourselves for missing out on this close and affordable pickup spot. Burger Win (which was supposed to be 'Burger Wing' according to local urban legend) is run by a family from Malaysia... Mom, Dad, 3 Sons. Their Chinese food is the kind you crave late at night or when you're hung over (Sesame Beef, General Tso's Chicken). On the other hand, the Malaysian/Thai special section is more unique and balanced. The Malacca Style Fish is a favorite as well as Sambal Udang and Char Kueh Teow. Both the Steamed Pot Stickers and Curry Puff are great appetizers. You can order each entree as either "Small" or "Dinner" size. The portions for the 'Dinner' size are large for the price. The menu prices run $1.95-$11.25). We can't comment about the other food because we've never ordered it. We always pick it up too. They operate 3pm-3am and are closed on Mondays. read more

I'll be clear on the point that most other reviews have said: this is not a high class place. You get your fried lumps of meat in sauce, sometimes with veggies, and enough rice to choke your donkey. But y'know, sometimes you _need_ that. I've been trying various Chinese delivery places that ordain our mailbox with menus near EAV and none of them quite hit the same marks as this place does...for cheaper! Just nasty. I should have went to cookout across the street. I ordered lemon pepper wings with shrimp fried rice and an egg roll. The wings were plain. There was barely any lemon pepper on them. This place is CHEAP. Like whoa. Buuuuut you sort of get what you pay for. There are some items I like more than others, but overall, everything is pretty standard cheap-ass delivery. The staff is less over-the-phone curt than other Chinese delivery places, and their delivery time is very reasonable. I've never waited longer than an hour. My go-to Chinese delivery dishes are lo mein, sesame chicken, and egg drop soup. The lo mein was a little flat in flavor, the sesame chicken was fine, and the egg drop soup was serviceable. The fried rice that combo meals come with taste a little weird but extra soy sauce covers it up. Basically, everything was fine but just off enough to not make it delicious. Wings are okay but were a tad dry. As I said, it's fine for what you're paying. I will definitely keep ordering from Burger Win whenever I'm too lazy to cook and too broke to spring for Zifty. read more

The location is like a Chinese dive bar- if there were such a thing. But the guy at the counter was cool. 5 minutes later (super fast) we had our soup, General Tao & Singapore Noodle. The crab rangoons have some kind of weird yellow cheese nonsense happening, and are either over-fried or gooey. The food is always kind of cold when I receive it (even though the delivery doesn't take long) And, even though there is enough for me to make two meals, I always end up throwing the left overs away imeedjiutlee...regretting I spent money on it in the first place, and vowing to never do so again. So, I was totally stoked to try this place because of the late hour action. And I got a couple of dishes to go after a night of debauchery in EAV. The wait was nonexistent. As though someone else had ordered it before me but failed to pick up their order, so I got it. I am a huge hot & sour soup freak. It's like my chicken noodle soup. It revives my weary soul. So I was extra disappointed that the hot seemed to come from a squirt of rooster sauce and the sour was straight up vinegar. Geh-ross! The stir fried eggplant was ok, but I've definitely had better. I guess I would try this place again in a pinch. And maybe I would be happier about the delivery feature. My husband and I tried this spot based on the reviews from Yelp. I must say that we were both highly dissatisfied with the fried rice. It was very soggy and just plain flavorless. However, we did enjoy the wings that came with our fried rice meal. Thank God we purchased a combo meal. Otherwise we would have starved because I took one bite of the rice and I was done! This is a place I am perfectly content with purely because it will promptly deliver to my house at 2 AM and is relatively cheap.
