First time experience and guest service was really great! We aren't the kind of people to eat a lot of meat, but we wanted to try the burgers because of the good reviews. Coming from restaurant owners, we really appreciated the guest service and hospitality we received, even though we took forever to make a decision on an order! I believe the gentlemen's name was Joseph that waited on us, he checked on us after we got our food, and was very nice- would be back just for great staff. Restaurant was very clean and a super new age atmosphere. We split two burgers, the quinoa/veggie burger and the double BurgerFi burger. Also a mixed order of hand cut fries and onion rings, and a Texas dog. We were splitting all of the food and everything was good, EXCEPT the hot dog seemed to be very dried out, chewy and old (we did not finish.) it had MAYBE a teaspoon of chili and cheese and certainly wasn't topped appropriately. The fries are handcut and we're very yummy, but the onion rings taste burnt. We will be willing to try again, but as a first time EVER having a chili cheese dog, we were a little disappointed!..... and the prices, the hot dog was very overpriced for the quality we got... fries were priced appropriately, but there was a $3 upcharge to mix with onion rings, to our surprise was only 3 onion rings to a pound of fries. Prices - INSANE Bathrooms - Absolutely filthy - like worse than a highway rest stop. Deplorable. Plus the day we went they were 1) out of ketchup and 2) too overwhelmed to handle a basic lunch rush. Let me re-state part of that again - they were OUT OF KETCHUP! Each customer had to go to the counter to beg the chef to pour some side cups b/c the condiment bar was tapped. Garbage cans were overflowing and the soda and condiment stations were filthy. Miserable experience. It is too bad as well--I used to tolerate the sky high prices b/c the food is for sure high quality (solid ingredients, good taste, etc.). The food was very good. I came her with two buddies and had a blast. I got a single burger with bacon and cheese and it was very good. We ordered a family (FAMILY) size of chili cheese fries but they did not give us any chili or cheese! So, my buddy complained and asked if we could have our chili and cheese and they totally got ripped off on it. They gave us three little ketchup bowls with chili in three and cheese in three. That amount of chili and cheese definitely would not have covered those fries! SAD! We also had milkshakes and they were delish, if we had gotten a good amount of chili and cheese this review would have been 5 big stars but due to their carelessness they received only three. For being such a fatty, one would think I would have tried this place once before. Nope. First time Saturday 7/23. I think I've found a new "fast" burger joint. More flavor then Five Guys and the fries are less soggy. I order a bacon egg and cheese double and it was very tasty. Good bacon, great flavor in the burger meat, fresh egg. It doesn't get a fifth star for one reason and one reason only. The fried egg was completely fried. No runny yolk, which is disappointing. Most places that offer a fried egg, cook it to preserve the yolk a bit, which I think adds so much flavor. I will be coming back again, I'll just tell them to cook the egg medium. read more

I tried the new chicken tenders-the coating was crispy and delicious, while the all white meat chicken stayed tender and juicy. Loved the honey mustard BBQ sauce. Fries were hot, crisp, and well seasoned. The table in the sunshine made it a very enjoyable afternoon. Highly recommend. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Here's a quick breakdown: 1. Boyfriend ordered a chili hot dog, I had a cheeseburger with mushrooms, pickles, mayo. 2. It took 15 minutes to make those even with 4 people in the kitchen, and only 2 other people who had ordered burgers. 3. My burger was ridiculously small. Cheese wasn't melted, the top bun was slapped on the side of the burger instead of on top, mayo was dripping everywhere, lettuce was hanging outside. 4. Chili on boyfriend's chili hot dog was lukewarm, cheese looked like it had been sitting there for a while and was starting to harden on top. 5. I went up to the counter to ask for a bag. Was ignored for a good 3 minutes. Then upon request, the lady hands me a bag and before I can say anything, adds "Oh thank GOD you aren't ordering anything. Ugh" as if people ordering is a hassle for her. 6. I feel like I just ate an expensive McDonald's burger. There is no difference between the two. Don't know how you could possibly compare this place to Plan B. BurgerFi doesn't come anywhere close, and these people don't know what a good burger is. Won't be returning. Ever. read more

In a nutshell, the burgers tasted like five guys knockoffs, but smaller. Yes, they serve beer and wine. Great idea, especially while having a cold snap waiting for order. The onion rings were really huge and good - gressy! Had the breakfast all day burger. Great idea, had flavor. The maple syrup and egg was an awesome touch, but the burger was small. Absolutely love the burgers and fries. The fries are outstanding. Normally I don't eat restaurant fries, but these are delicious. The serving is enormous and so tasty that it is no problem to polish them off. We generally go with the create your own burgers and the CEO - both of which are very good. The onion rings are also very good, except at this particular location a few times they were cut super skinny resulting in overcooking them - but I assume that was perhaps someone in training as the rings have been superb at other locations. I can empathize as I have been "new" my share of times. Oh - and their "sauce" is very good. Again, I typically refuse the sauce at other burger places - even Max Burger sauce is yuck to me, but this sauce I like. Just the right balance of spice and flavor. read more

A new location in Avon CT just opened. Decided to see what all the talk was about. Entered to see a substantial line. It moved surprisingly fast. Food was ordered and a quick turnaround. Everything I ordered was much better than I expected. Some report this is similar to Five Guys but it's not. The French Fries are very good and not limp or greasy. You have to try their milk shakes! This was our second visit to BurgerFi and it's highly unlikely we'll be back. We placed two seemingly simple orders. Two single "BurgerFi", no cheese and "green style." We ordered them exactly the same with one exception, no special sauce on mine. The burgers were ordered with ketchup, mustard, raw onions, jalapeños, and pickles. First, it took no kidding three tries for the attendant to get the order in the point of sale system. Second, when the order came out it was COMPLETELY incorrect. Mine was LOADED with the special sauce and my wife's didn't have jalapeños. So I went back to the counter and the attendant actually wrote down the order vice putting it in the POS they use. The order still came out incorrect. No jalapeños and what looked like minuscule squirts of ketchup and mustard. So after two tries and no kidding, four attempts at ordering, my burger was still incorrect. Why should we return? It was a simple order, no fries, nothing special, so why was it so difficult for the crew at the Avon, CT location to get it correct? We won't be back, instead, we'll return to Five Guys where they do get the order correct and oh, by the way, don't charge an extra $1.00 for iceberg lettuce! read more

prolly the best burger i've had in ct. ever. it mirrors the service style of 5 guys but the quality of the food is far more superior and they serve beer and wine. i ordered the burgerfi cheeseburger because i figured i should stick with the house special to really get a feel for the deal. it was carmelized and tasty...an ideal burger. i was ambivalent about the 'special' sauce and might go for the garlic mayo next time, but it certainly didn't take anything away from the deliciousness of the meat and cheese! sweetie ordered the vegefi burger which was also, by far, the most superior veggie burger i've tasted. crispy and super filling but hard to put down. we shared an order of cry & frys- a mix of onion rings and 'hand cut' fries with the parmesan cheese & herbs topping. it was so big that we barely touched it but didn't disappoint. we also each had a sam summer and all in all our total was just shy of $40.00 so it's not cheap but you get what you pay for.....personally, i can't wait to go back! read more

I really enjoy the VegeFi burger. Made with care, it's flavorful and crispy. The assortment of toppings available keeps it from getting boring. I'm not a big fan of beef hamburgers overall, but theirs are certainly tasty. I knew something was off when I called in an order and the person answering the phone forgot who she was working for....really? I was told it would take 17 minutes. I arrived after 25 minutes.....then the wait.....another 15 minutes.....no joke. Keep in mind, upon pick-up there was a 15 minute wait in-line with Front Counter help that was clueless. Obvious that there is No local ownership managing this location. Don't go here......right down the street is Reno's Drive-In......great local people with ownership that is on-site, great burgers.....and it took 8 1/2 minutes. Decent burger , pleasant staff. 4 stars for an upscale fast food burger joint. I appreciate the certified Angus and if it is in fact antibiotic free then it's worth price. I had the single burger which I expect most would find small. As I am really trying to eat reasonable portions I found it perfectly fine. The cheese was fully melted, thank you . The condiments grilled onion, lettuce and Dijon mustard were good . It would have been better had they been a little less stingy with the lettuce and onion . The fries were great. Russets with a little bit of skin on the outer pieces. I am happy with the food and the price of the burger if it's pedigree is true. The issue is the meal price. The smallest serving of fries is 3.69. The bottled soda was about 3 . That makes the whole lunch over 12.00 . Even though I this was a small serving it was plenty large for two. If there were two or more in my party I would seriously considering splitting an order of fries. I would like to see a smaller serving of fries and a smaller price for the parties of one. read more

This place is like the dead zone. No customers, the staff not really knowing the menu and seeming robotic. The joint may be circling the drain. Time to update my review. They've changed their burgers, and the rolls, and not for the better. Ok so I've been thinking about this review for a few days. The guy working the counter was very good. He was helpful, prompt and informative. I love that they offer beer but I didn't indulge since it was lunch. I ordered a cheeseburger. It was OK and I was a little bit disappointed. Not for any reason other than I was expecting bigger and better. PlanB or 5 guys is a bit better. $9 bucks for a burger and soda isn't outlandish but the taste didn't exceed the price. Ok..It is something different with burgers,beers and shakes. I ordered by phone today and for the first time. Three Cheeseburgers,ONE Large fry,one regular onion ring and a Strawberry shake. I was told the order would be ready in 8-10 minutes. I arrived 12 minutes later to a line of three people and when it was my turn gave my name. Cashiere was very friendly ! Was told the FRYS were dropped so they would be hot. Paid the $33.++ and moved aside to wait. Then about 10-12 minutes later my name was called. Handed two oiley bags and offered a big bag to handle them ....Had to remind about the shake and ask for Ketchup. Got back to work and my co-workers and I found.....NO FRYS !!!!! The service is top notch and the employees are the friendliest people ive met in a while. Just the other day, I had the pleasure of meeting an employee named Sarah who is truly one of a kind. As soon as I walked in she made me feel special and made a connection with me right away. I went in to order last Friday night and the line was backed up nearly to the door. I waited patiently and got up to the counter to place my order and I was a little frustrated I will admit. When the cashier greeted me however it put me in a far better mood. She was very nice and despite the fact that she was clearly stressed and working very hard to keep the customers orders out promptly she greeted me with a smile and welcomed me to the store. The service was fantastic and I made sure to ask her name for this review.
