Once I arrived at the restaurant I received my burger with NONE of the extra ingredients I specified on the app. Then the cashier then told me it was a possible glitch even tho my receipt clearly said special prep. I let that go and then left. But to add insult to injury the burger was very very dry and thrown together even after adding mayo,special sauce etc. Not to mention the female cook seemed to be bothered that I ask for my burger to be the way that I ordered it. I love burger fi. A week ago they had a special for bosses day, their CEO burger- my favorite. I altered my diet for a week so I could indulge in this decadent burger. On bosses day, kept trying to call them to place an order but got no answer. Turns out they've been closed all week. The sign on the door notes that they're experiencing some technology difficulties. I'm glad to have BurgerFi as an option close to my house. The employees are always super friendly. I only gave 4 stars for a couple reasons: 1) While I absolutely love that they have a vegan option, I feel the upcharge is too high. It's over $4 more per burger to make it vegan compared to a standard single patty burger. Before I moved here, I was able to get the exact same vegan burger for only $6 at a local place. 2) I wish the food was just slightly more consistent. Sometimes my fries are crispy. Sometimes my fries are soggy. The most recent time I went, my fries were so salty they were almost inedible. Like I said, I've had nothing but great experience with all the employees and I appreciate that. The freestyle machines are cool. They also offer beer on tap. NEVER COMING BACK! Today will be the first and last time I ever set foot in this place. If Yelp had a 0 stars rating, it be that. I came out to Glenview for Iron Age(amazing place) then roamed around the plaza where this joint seems to find itself in. Family and I were sitting on their outdoor area then we figured it be a good idea to grab some fries from here. I walked in, as I see customers still able to order. Mind you that their outdoor sign says open till 11pm...it was 9pm when I walked in. The lady with the 2 pigtails asked what I wanted to order I said just some fries. She turns to the cooks (assuming I don't speak Spanish) in Spanish she asks them if they still have fries ...as a whole basket of fries was still on their fritter. She proceeds to tell the man and women cook "she wants fries" the man cook SLAMS the towel in his hand and curses in Spanish "f** really?" And put the began to fry up the food. The other woman cook was expressing horrid facial expressions and talking smack in Spanish -cashier pigtail lady turns to tell me "we're closed" then I suggested maybe they should have their sign updated since their sign states it's still open till 11pm. At that point any customer would think the same! She then turns back around laughing and in Spanish she's giggling saying "no don't put the fries in I told her we're closed! Ha so she's gonna leave" (STILL ASSUMING I CANT UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING THAT JUST HAPPENED!) her back still turned towards me - I then in Spanish say "it's fine thanks I would not want to have my food made and handled in this unfortunate situation. The cashier lady was so stunned and embarrassed she did not turn around at all to apologize or even face me. How embarrassing, her younger son was in the restaurant and had to witness his mothers unprofessionalism. Both cooks and cashier were beyond speechless and embarrassed. I hate to have walked in to that situation I really don't even know why they couldn't take my order but were more than able to take another couples order that had walked in. I did nothing to offend these people I simply walked in with my 3yr old daughter to order fries and was served vulgar language, attitude and lies. Tried this place for the first time after passing it numerous times. As a vegetarian, I got the vegefi green style with cry and fries (onions and fries). The vegefi burger is a quinoa burger with lentils, white cheddar cheese, tomato slice, and burgerfi sauce. Sounds healthy until you find out that the veggie burger is deep fried. I got vegefi burger wrapped in lettuce (green style) rather than on a bun and it was great. I was worried the burger would fall apart, but it was very easy to eat. They also let you add onions, pickles, relish, jalapenos, etc. without extra charge. I was very impressed with this burger, just wish it wasn't deep fried, but I guess that's what made it taste so good. As for the fries and onion rings, these were disappointing. There were three huge onion rings with fries that tasted bland. You can add flavors to the fries and onion rings like Parmesan herb or Cajun for extra charge. I probably should have done that since they were flavorless without it. The onion rings were overly greasy and the fries weren't crispy or even worth eating. I ended up throwing most of the cry and fries out. I was also able to get a free custard thanks to yelp check-in. I ended up getting the chocolate and vanilla swirl with red velvet and brownie toppings. The custard was different from other custards that I've had. This one tasted more like regular frozen yogurt, kind of sour or tangy. The red velvet and brownie pieces were nice, moist, and sweet that made up for tanginess of the custard. Overall, I would come here again only for their vegefi burger. The onion rings and fries are not worth the $6. read more

I came here for a quick lunch today on New Years Day. I had heard a lot about this place and wanted to try it out. It reminded me a bit of 5 guys or similar burger restaurants. You go up to order - they have a small selection of hamburgers but you can customize them. If you like anything spicy then I recommend getting the jalapenos added. They are fresh and add a good small spice and crunch to the burger. They also have fries and onion rings and you can customize your fries as well. For drinks & dessert they have pop, water, even beer! They have shakes and custard. I got the BurgerFi Burger - basic with jalapenos added - with a side of fries with Vinegar & Salt. The burger is 2 small beef patties with their special sauce, lettuce, tomato. It was cooked well, not overdone so it was still a bit juicy. The bun is toasted but not burnt. Overall a pretty good burger. The fries were really good - a "regular" size is pretty large so you could definitely share it if you weren't that hungry. I also got a cup of vanilla custard and it was the perfect consistency. If you are looking for a quick burger place, I would recommend coming here. Surprised it's been 2 years since I've been here and it was every bit as good as I remember it to be. I'd be happy to eat their fries for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, and dessert. I had heard some hype so decided to go check this place out. First off they are over priced. For fries with some spice on it I paid double of what they should be charging. I walked out with a veggie burger and small fries for a bill of something like ~16 dollars which for what I got was too much. I go pay about the same at Epic burger and I am ok with it because the value proposition for the money I spend is stronger at Epic. I felt like I paid for the nice ambiance which usually demands a premium but in my opinion a burger joint is not the type of a place where someone would pay premium price for ambiance. BugerFi (short for Burgerfication) is a three year-old, Florida based chain. This store is their 43rd or 44th, and the first in the state of Illinois. The good: The Burgers are indeed good product. The onion rings are cut only from the outside of the onion, the batter is delicious, and the rings were not at all greasy. The fries are also nicely prepared. For those who want it, bottles of Coke from Mexico are available, and they have a license to sell beer. The bad: Expensive, and smaller menu options are either difficult to find or not available. You CAN get a single burger; it's just not listed as large as their main fare. The small fries at $2.57 are enough for two people in most cases, but a smaller option is not available. Their BurgerFi burger, fries, and a glass for soda will run over $12. Also, the two times I've been there, the music was too loud. There's a dearth of interesting restaurants in Glenview, so I'd like to see them do well. Time will tell. Update: dropped review from 4 to 2 stars. I've been here 5 times now, mostly to join people who I talked the place up with who wanted to come. As of my writing this, I'm the Duke, although there's another entry for the restaurant. I'm over the place. The noise is terrible inside. It's like the place doesn't know what it wants to be. Trendy wine and beer bar? Upscale fast food? Teen hangout for the kids in this area? THE MUSIC IS TOO LOUD FOR THE VENUE. It's not a dance club, music should be background. If people do have a conversation, they have to go louder to be heard, and there's echos. It makes for an uncomfortable experience. It is a relief to walk outside and realize you've been straining to hear your friends. There was a noticable sag in quality after the corporate people left. Saw an unkempt male employee do a half-hearted cleaning of some tables with not the cleanest of cloths, and then stagger back behind the register. It seems silly, but the branding iron that they use to put the BurgerFi logo onto the bun wasn't hot. It's supposed to blacken the name into the bun; this just sort of pushed it in and didn't darken it at all. It doesn't change the taste, but it another visible and obvious lack of pride and attention to detail. Finally, and most important, I haven't seen responses by the franchise owner or managers to any of the reviews here. Yes, some of them were written by people who can't tell the difference in quality between BurgerFi beef and Wendy's, and some were barely literate, but for a place that promotes being connected (they give you a free custard if you post your location on FourSquare, Facebook, or Twitter) they only seem to care about promotion, and not feedback. I'd eat there again if someone insisted, or if management addresses the concerns of people who went a few times. Until then, my opinion stays at two stars. It deserves 2 1/2, but the food quality will follow the downward trend. read more

Can't deny that this joint is holding true to it's creative little name. Burgerfication. And let me tell you, was I burgerficated! Awesome in every way possible, and warping the whole "burgers + beer" theme into the next generation. Craft beer on tap, branded gourmet burger buns, onion rings the size of Hey Arnold's head, and delicious hand made burgers with that "special sauce" (of course, gotta have the special sauce). The layout of the place was the most impressive, to me. The rounded store front is sure to catch anyone's eye. Flat screen TVs all over. Caged in ceiling and shiny wooden walls. MASSIVE stainless steel fan on the ceiling (legit like a 20x20 foot fan) made me feel like I was amidst a hurricane (JK, but it was a pleasant breeze). If this place isn't as modern as it gets, then I don't know what is. I also can't deny the fact that I walked out of the glorious Burgerfi doors completely burgerficated, satisfied, and full (with an empty wallet). The only, only downside of this place is the prices. It's on the more expensive side, but definitely not regretting my visit there. I see many more burgerfication-transformations in my near future. BurgerFi (Short for Burgerfication [although annoyingly, the "Fi" is pronounced as it is in "Wifi]) is the newest burger joint to open up in Glenview. It's located right at the corner of Lake Milwaukee in a building that looks like there should probably have been a Walgreens there. This place has plenty of room and there are plenty or registers ready to take your order. Granted, I did come in the first few weeks so there were still a bunch of people just standing around trying to figure out what burger to get, what beer to order, how the hell you're supposed to pronounce the name, etc. Came here with my cousin and we order 1 B.A.D. Burger, 1 BurgerFi Cheeseburger, Regular Fries, Regular Onion Rings, a Vanilla Shake and a Chocolate Shake. Spent around $30 which puts BurgerFi right at the same price point as MeatHeads which is just a short drive away. The Food: The B.A.D. Burger was a breakfast burger with hash browns, a fried egg, bacon, etc. Overall, it was pretty bland. Putting hash browns on the burger made it more dry than it had to be. My cousin had the cheeseburger and according to her, it was "Just fine." The shakes were pretty good, though I find it difficult to screw up a simple vanilla/chocolate shake. Fries were meh, and I definitely regretted not adding some sort of seasoning to them. Onion rings stole the show for me though. I originally didn't order them, but saw someone else pick some up, so I got right back in line. They are big onion rings, have the perfect bite, etc. The fry and onion ring portions are definitely good enough to share in my opinion. Overall: I wanted to like this place better since I LOVE burgers. But given the average experience, I was left wanting more. I think MeatHeads is still a better option even though they don't brand their buns. Parking is still annoying as ever. 3rd last visit I stopped by to grab burgers and those onion rings to go as was between locations for work and when the lady gave me the rings in the bag it was saturated with grease. Burger wasn't as delish as I remember. Showed my coworker who was shocked that the onion rings was served in that fashion.
