I give this location 5 stars because the service brings them over the edge. The associates are very friendly and patient. I had a particular order and they were accommodating and kind. Yes, Five Guys is pricey for fast food but the quality is there. The fries are abundant, fresh cut, and fried on demand. There are unlimited toppings. They even have the fancy multi-option digital soda machines, and don't forget the peanuts! Great, yummy experience here every time. Even our picky eaters enjoyed their lil burger. For the amount of fries and the price of 8.99 we got the amount of fries was a medium. I've tried to love it but I just can't. Yes, the burgers are cooked to order and you can get as many different toppings as you want. But it comes at a price. A single burger, small fries and small drink will set you back at least $15. And the accountant in me can't help wondering what their margins would be like if they didn't spend the money on all those boxes of free peanuts, and how much bigger their market would be by being able to include customers with peanut allergies. I thought Chipotle was bad-- but 5 GUYS has discovered a new LOW!! again, i ordered online for 4 staff, went to pick up, they said " a couple minutes"--no problem. 10 mins latter they asked my name again, this time they said "that order is gone--we sold it" what? i showed them my recipt, my confirm, and proved i paid for it. they said "not our fault if someone else took my order" craziest thing i ever heard but OK either i get a refund or wait for my order and they said NO__i get neither the food I PAID FOR NOR MY MONEY BACK--STRAIGHT STEALING--and they could not have been more unprofessiional and rude. Having first tried Five Guys in NYC & DC, I knew what to expect. Bigger than it looks from the outside, the interior is bright and clean, catering to it's 50s-esque appeal, with oldies music being piped in. If you've never been, this is pretty much what all Five Guys I've ever been to look like. They also have big boxes of peanuts for you to munch on while you wait for your food to cook. Since it's cooked when you order, it's not the fastest place, so peanuts are good if you're hungry & can't wait. For "fast" food, it's definitely toward the top with fresh tasting burgers. I like the fries, although next time I probably ask for them well done since I prefer crispier fries. (I checked; they're willing to do so - yay!) The difference between regular & little is 2 patties (reg) or 1 patty (little). Also, they have malt vinegar by the condiment station. Mm salt & vinegar on fries. The food is always served "to go" - meaning there are no trays and plates and such. Fries come in an overflowing styrofoam cup which will create a nice grease pattern on the brown paper bag your food is in. If you eat in, do what I do and snag one of the paper boats inside the peanut box & dump your fries into there. 1 paper boat holds 1 order regular fries pretty perfectly. Also makes it easier to sprinkle the malt vinegar on the fries. Yum. Overall, the food & experience are same as I remember from the Five Guys I had in NYC/DC, and it's just a standard fast food joint. But what pushed them from a regular 3-star fast food joint to 4? Fountain Cherry Coke. I'm generally a Pepsi person but Cherry Coke is delicious. Not often found at most places, this upped the stars from 3 to 4. Yes, I'm that easily swayed. In the end, this place is a bit expensive for burgers & fries (at least $10 for burger+fries+drink) but it's the place if you want a good burger & not just a fast meal. (And Cherry Coke!) read more

This is the way a burger joint should be run! I'm not talking about the fact they have juicy burgers, fresh buns, lots of toppings, more soda choices than you can imagine, tasty fries and peanuts to shell and eat while you wait for your order. No I'm talking about how they treat their customers. We were craving a burger last night and had to do some other errands in the Randhurst area so we stopped in to 5 guys. We ordered two burgers, fries and drinks and discovered somewhere during the meal one of the burgers was missing mushrooms and onions. Because it wasn't the end of the world, we finished. But before I left I let them know. Not in a negative way but in a constructive way so if their 'quality checks' system was broken, they could find it and fix it. The crew member I talked to offered to fix things, but I said we'd already finished. When I got home I was thinking maybe the manager was not aware of the problem with getting the order correct so I filled out the survey advertised on their receipt. Again, my intent is to help businesses be better so I wasn't ripping on the place. I specifically said that the meal was good. The minor glitch didn't degrade my experience there and I will be back again. I gave my contact information but said, there is no need to call me. I'm just giving you a heads up on what happened. Well today I get a call from Kyle, manager at the store to apologize for the mistake! I told him that wasn't necessary and that I was just trying to help him with some 'real time' feedback so if one of their systems was broken, he'd be able to identify the problem and fix it. He said he totally understood and thanked me. THIS IS THE WAY A BURGER JOINT (or any joint) SHOULD BE RUN! I've heard others rave about this chain so I was excited to give them a try when they came to town. Burgers really are delicous and I was surprised to find there are TWO patties included AND all the toppings, including mushrooms, are FREE! Amazing! Also, they give you a TON of fries. My husband and I each ordered a regular fry and we only finished maybe one serving. They just dump the fries in the bag with the burgers (wrapped in foil). The place is pretty packed at lunch time but you can get your food to go and take it with you. They have all the peanuts you could eat, as well. I usually like peanuts at steakhouses - but it didn't seem to go with this kind of place. I understand it is part of their "thing" though and folks who have been coming to them for a long time look to it as part of the tradition at Five Guys. read more

I've heard a lot about this place from friends who live in New York, etc. When I saw one had opened up nearby, I really wanted to give it a try. Yesterday, on my half-hour lunch break, I had a chance to go and sample their delicious food. The food? I had a 'Kosher Style Hot Dog' (placed on the bun in halves) and an order of fries (I didn't have time to eat a lot!). YUM! The fries were the best part -- and they gave me so many! However, it was a bit pricier than I expected and just way too damn LOUD in the restaurant! I couldn't hear the people behind the counters call out the order numbers and kept going up because I thought the guy was saying '56' (my order number) a lot. When I explained to him that I was hard of hearing, he remembered and instead of just calling out my number, waved to me -- which was nice. But otherwise, I'm not really a fan of loud places, especially if I'm going to be eating with someone else (I was alone). Hard to talk above the noise. So, the food was good and I'll probably take my boyfriend here next time he's in the area, but it would be the kind of place I'd only go to every once in awhile. The burgers are fresh - never frozen - and cooked to order. You pick ANY or ALL of the toppings that you want. Mayo, catsup, mustard, Lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, A1 Sauce...Heaven!! The fries are cooked only in pure peanut oil and are salted to perfection. A medium order easily serves 2 and a large will serve 3 - 4. Malt topping is available also. Shakes are large and delicious. In the shell salted peanuts are free for the taking. Service is hit or miss - It's a chain restaurant for pete's sake - Don't expect too much from minimum wage staff and you won't be disappointed. We love Five Guys, and this location is one of the reasons why. The welcome is always friendly, if not energetic, and attention to detail very good. The place is clean, even with having bags of in-shell peanuts to munch on while waiting for your burger and fries. The burgers are great, if you like their style. You can order a 'Little Cheeseburger', for example, which is a single version of their regular burgers. The 'Little' is enough when put with their more than ample 'Little Fries', which are enough for 2+ people! The fries are perfect, and they even post which farm they come from. Service is great, and the crew is friendly. This location is also nearly always clean, or being cleaned, with food prep times also spot on. Come in for a burger and little fry. They also have a Freestyle Coke machine to top off your meal with a customized beverage. Prices are a little high for drinks, but not too bad for the general meal. I haven't seen discounts for them, but if you go with two people, order one fry to share. read more

In the land o' lowered expectations, where convenience conquers quality 5GnF landed just in time to add to more of the hohum. The idea and concept is cute and kitschy, but so 2000 and late. Burger King already let you have it your way, McDonalds already grilled up your meats and if you want really good handcut fries within a 3 minute ride, try Salernos on wolf. A regular burger order is 2 patties with unlimited toppings as listed on the board, the key is not to get too greedy and do think balance and taste. The meat is not too seasoned, but with bacon and cheese worked nicely with some raw onions, grilled shrooms and some jalapeños. The cajun seasoned fries(small) are thrown on top of your burger in a bag so you have to either dump them out on to your table, eat a pound of spuds first or go digging and end up with cajun fingers. The place is brightly lit, clean, free nuts in the shell which are propped up in boxes on top of the garbage receptacles, unlimited refills(nice) and smiley people behind the counter. Can it hold its own against steak and shake on the opposite side of the mall? time will tell, but they are two different beasts doing pretty much the same dance and still should help bring back business to an area much in need. read more

Another crabby person shouted out our number, and handed us a greasy bag o food. There were enough fries for about 4 people in a "small", and our burgers were hot n fresh, wrapped up in tin foil to protect it from aliens. The burgers were as ugly as sin, but really tasty. The fries were good, but not the things dreams are made of. For 20 bones, I am not running back at top speed, but I will be back if I feel like my arteries can handle it. This is my 400th review and I've been waiting to write it, hoping something spectacular would come along for it. That dream has been shot down after waiting a while and I decided to write this mediocre review of a fairly average place. A bare bones menu with just burgers, hot dogs and fries, I had the cheeseburger and it was pretty good. They have a good range of toppings to put on and peanuts out for you to eat for free and you can also cajun up your fries. So why is it just okay? My cheeseburger (and that's all I ordered) seemed to take a while to make and it was $6. Yes $6 for nothing but a cheeseburger, when I've had burgers that are just as good for half the price, or twice as good for a dollar more. I was nowhere near full and ended up cooking some chicken nuggets at home after I ate the burger. I probably wouldn't go back here to begin with, but might think to go back if nothing else were around, but that's the problem. There are other places around here. I rue the moment. $26 for 2 cheeseburgers,1 small fry order, 1 soda and 1 cup of water. The burgers are terribly fatty and the fries are so salty you could swap them out for salt licks when baiting deer. If you like **VERY OVERPRICED** salt and fat, this is the place for you. Finally managed to get in here with my daughter and a few of her friends the other day. Couldn't believe how much I over ordered though! Got each kids a burger/dog, then silly me wasn't paying attention to sizes and ordered two large fries for four 9 yr old girls and myself... whoa, that was a lot of fries - we couldn't make a dent in them! Loved my burger!!! I got a bacon cheeseburger and was a little stunned when I got it with everything and there were mushrooms on it (i don't do shrooms), but they were easy to remove... The manager literally made a scene in front of our little girl with 2 other families eating a meal . He was RUDE and OBNOXIOUS and probably too young to be a manager. I am now a fan of this place. The food isn't healthy, but it is very, very, very tasty. The cost for a meal is a little more than I would like to pay for a burger or hot dog meal; especially if the fries aren't included... But the fries are godlike and the cheeseburger and hot dog I tried were both worth coming back for more. Someone posted some crazy comment that the fries are better at "Salernos on wolf". Puhleeeeze! Salerno's is an Italian eatery and is more overpriced than any other Italian place in the area. Gorging on peanut while you wait was a nice treat. This place deserves a 5-star! Five Guys is exceptional! I really love their place and the ambiance inside of it. All of their employees are welcoming, friendly, and attentive. They greet me and show a big smile to me the time I enter their place. They are also kind and helpful, they really guide and assist me to find some vacant spot, and even asking me if I need something inside their kitchen like extra water, sauce, and others. Very personable employees. Their food on the menu is satisfying and really amazing. Especially their best seller burgers and other sandwiches. Lot of people really love and keep ordering their phenomenal burger. It is really delicious, tasty, fantastic, and juicy. The taste of it really hits different. I also recommend their double burger, the taste is so unique, and really worth a try. All of their food on the menu is so affordable. All of it has a good quality and really worth the prices. The burgers are fine, the fries are good, though when I got them cajun, they were WAY over seasoned. Four dollars for a regular fries? Three dollars for a regular drink? Seven dollars for a burger, and no combo deals? My husband and I were looking for a quick place to eat for a late night dinner last night at around 8:30 PM. My husband who ordered a plain burger with just ketchup and mustard was fine. I ordered a cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and jalapeño peppers. Something on my burger was not right. Obviously I couldn't tell at the time everything tasted OK. 5 guys is always good. We usually order from this location 2-3 times a week Through Uber eats. It always shows up quick and fresh!

My girlfriend and I recently went to this Five Guys to catch up and have some lunch. She brought along her 3 year old, so that changes things a bit. The fries were good, but not great. The burger was ok, but not worth $8. And I regret not getting a milkshake, because that might have made my meal better. Other than the just ok food, I was a bit concerned with the layout of the restaurant. As I said, we brought along a 3 year old, so you know once they are done, they're ready to run around and explore whatever it is they're not supposed to. This place has piles of potato bags in the middle of the restaurant??? Maybe this is a "Five Guys" things, but it looked super unsafe and not at all appealing to my appetite. This particular location doesn't have a whole lot of seating, so I could definitely see it getting really crowded. I don't really understand the whole "Five Guys" trend. This review is based on our first and only visit today. Burger = very flavorful. Lots of toppings to pick from, all included. Fries = Husband had Cajun. I had plain. The Regular sized portion is very generous. Enough for two (unless you are a teenager). The Cajun Spices were not overwhelming. BUT, both of our fries were way undercooked making them mushy, very mushy. They were busy, we were in a hurry so the fries went in the trash. Hence, no idea how management would handle a complaint. Split decision: My husband liked his burger enough to give Five Guys another try. For the price and result, I wouldn't. I did really like the peanuts! read more
