Where Burger Fi excels is customer service. Definitely a 5+ for their service. The owner greets everyone and makes guests feel welcome and special. That's impressive for a burger joint. The food wasn't quite to that level yet. I ordered to go, and when I went to eat my burger, it was made sloppily and lopsided, so it made a mess in the car. The flavor of the beef was great, but it was overshadowed by the Fi sauce, which I'd definitely replace with good ole ketchup. I also didn't notice that it came as a double, so there was just way too much meat and cheese for me. I'd order a single burger with no cheese when I return so I can taste the flavor of the beef. As a side, I ordered a small onion ring, which is more than enough for one person. They are large onions with plenty of breading. The first two bites of the onion rings was wonderful, but past that they had a strange, unpleasant flavor. I thought it might get better as I went along, but alas, I threw them away after eating only two, and would never order them again unless the recipe changes. So, it wasn't all bad, but there is room for improvement. The beautiful thing is that the owner cares about his customers, and reached out to me to ask how they could improve. A great selection of sodas, lemonade, tea, beer and wine, as well as shakes with smooth custard. They even had the old fashioned glass bottles of coke! :) As far as the food, they really care about the health of burger-eating America because they do not use any frozen products! They get their meat from a privately-owned farm in Montana and they are one of the few that makes their own veggie burgers from scratch! Absolutely delicious! I love everything but my favs are the Chicago style all beef hot dog, the veggie burger, the huge, hand-prepared onion rings and the double chocolate shake!!! Yummy!!! :) Outstanding! my boyfriend and I were just there on monday and we were very happy! He raves all the time about how great their food is and it really is! I love all of the decor that promotes them for being hormone free. If you want fresh you will pay a little more obviously. Their fries are my favorite part! They give so many in their smallest portion, it was enough for my 6'4 guy and myself to split and the employees are super friendly. Always smiling and very quick with our orders. I had the conflict burger which was delicious! The crunchy texture and taste of the veggie patty really stood out. I had the oatmeal stout from draft as well which is a big plus for me. I just moved to Michigan from Arizona and have been to the BurgerFi in Mesa, AZ several times. This burgerfi is quite small and they do not have Pibb as the other locations do in their soda machines. When i went to to this location the fresh lemonade was nowhere to be found. I asked an employee and they said the container was broken. This seemed odd because they have only been open a month or so. I asked another employee and they said they were out. Not sure who was being truthful. I would have given 4 stars but i really love PIBB. The food was good; however, my burger was a bit overcooked and crispy on the edges. I still like BurgerFi over five guys. read more
