Friendly service. A small hardworking crew. We had a short wait for our food to be prepared. I had an inferno burger and it was juicy and full of flavor. My wife had a side of mac and cheese and she said it was boring and needed more cheese. We shared an order or Canadian Poutine, it was huge and very flavorful, although not as good as the real deal served in Canada. I don't go out to eat much. I have celiac disease, (an auto immune disorder which makes me allergic to gluten). I used to come here on a weekly basis and had all my bday parties as a child here before knowing about my allergy. I have not ben here in 3 years because I got a horrible stomach ache eating here last time. I decided to give them another try due to the nostalgia. My wife and I ordered (2) burgers one of them a standard shroom burger, the other a basic burger with a gluten free bun. We received burgers with the buns on the wrong burger, which would have led to a hospital trip for me, had I not caught it. My wife called and expressed the issue, the lady who answered seemed to think we could just swap buns (clearly they have no understanding of cross-contamination). They reluctantly only remade (1) burger, my gluten free burger. So, I had to return for a 3rd time for them to redo the shroom burger. They seemed irritated with me for their mistake. "well, I figured you could just swap the bun" she stated again... I spent $40 on 2 burgers and some fries. I expect the order how I ordered it. Swapping buns would include the wrong melted cheese and mayo that was on mine, to now be on her burger. Absolutely ridiculous to even suggest this! this is "THE burger joint" The bearded chef clearly had an attitude over having to redo the order he couldn't do right the first time. The lady running the register clearly knows nothing about burgers. Insanely poor attitudes. Great tasting food when they get it right. soggy buns when ordered to go. Its a burger majority of us can make it at home, charging $15-20 for a burger and not making it right and having an attitude when asked to remake it, is not alright. read more

The first time in, I got a traditional ground chuck patty. They didn't ask how I wanted it cooked, but it was perfectly cooked about medium-well! The second time in, I ordered a wagyu burger to be cooked medium / medium-well, and it came out well-done unfortunately. Everything else about this place is so good. Their burgers and buns are fresh, and all of their toppings are delicious, especially the chipotle ranch. The fries are seasoned and fried to perfection. Been past here several times and lived in Milford for all my life, but never thought this place could be as good as it looked from the outside. When you walk inside, there's a divey, burger joint feeling that lets you know you're in for some good food. Bought a 1/4lb with garlic mayo on a brioche bun, was not disappointed. My wife had grilled chicken with a thick slice of cheese on brioche as well. Chicken was tender and flavorful, beef was delicious and cooked the way I like it. Onion rings? Yes please! The medium will casually serve 3 people or one if you're hungry. Noticed they had IBC root beer floats on the menu, I regret not getting one. Lol Will be back for more. read more

The Burger Joint is a nice little *burger joint* in Milford, Michigan. I used to work in Milford, and there was a point in my life where Burger Joint was a steadfast staple in my weekly diet. The staff are all very nice, and helpful in navigating the large menu of possibilities, which is especially useful as there are many sides and flavors of sides that you'll find at Burger Joint. One of my go-to's was the Blue Cheese Burger with a side of Tater Tots (or vampire fries). Pro Tip: There's paid street parking out front, but there's free parking in a large parking lot behind the restaurant, as well as in the adjacent lot during weekdays. I did get burned once while trying to park there outside the 8-5 weekday time slot, and got charged ~$5. Keto/ Low Carb Folks: You can get a burger in a bowl here! It's nice to see a good bun-free option in a non-chain restaurant. I'd recommend loading it up with whatever fits your palate, but there's something for everyone here! read more

I was in Milford wandering around because I had nothing better to so on a sunny Sunday. I got a little hungry so I stumbled on the Burger Joint a small place but very good good I had the Joey burger it was two patties with American cheese BBQ sauce and an onion ring. This was very good the burger was medium well like I have to have it. Medical reason. The BBQ sauce was sweet the onion ring crisp. But the star was the vampire fries a bid basket of hand cut fries with garlic butter poured all over them. The garlic is not over powering and the butter not to oily. They have a smaller version of the Coke machine with the various flavors. The service was excellent and very friendly. If I ever find myself in Milford again I will be stopping in again. read more

We ordered the California burger and the Inferno burger, we each had an order or fries, and we split a strawberry shake. Plenty of food for the both of us, we could have done just fine with one order of fries! The Inferno burger was very good, just the right amount of heat and flavor. The California burger was also good but needed a little salt. The fries are to die for and the strawberry shake is my favorite part. This is a must try place! read more

Updated review 4/2019. Recently closed for "remodeling". Decided to visit as had been a very long time since we had been here. Arrived on a Sunday a little before 8, willing to give it another chance. At first, thought they were closed, as is very dark--turned out several lights were burnt out. The chairs were all up on the tables--not very inviting. The girl assured us they were open, and she was just cleaning. She was busy, but was just sweeping the floor, not really deep cleaning. Could have easily done that without making the place appear closed! Could not see what was remodeled, except that maybe (?) they painted. We ordered from the menu--lots of choices. They were out of coke and Coke Zero as well as the cherry flavor in the freestyle dispenser--not apparently recently, as they had a sign typed up, printed and taped to the wall to this effect. The burger was OK, pretzel bun was stale and toppings generous. Hand cut fries were good, but much too salty. The highlight of my meal was the freestyle vanilla Diet Coke (sad to say). The place is cleaner than it used to be and the employees were working, not standing around talking like before. Because the chairs were all up, we were forced to sit in a booth, with really worn out upholstery ( making a remodel hard to believe). We would have preferred a table. The "music" was too loud, as there is little to absorb it in here. It was weird electronic "noise" --so perhaps you must be a teen to go here?? I was So hoping to upgrade our review, but our experience had the opposite effect. If you can unapologetically be out of Coke, you should also pull the pretzel buns when they are not fresh. Finally made it here! So, I was not terribly impressed. I had the Moe's pub burger, my husband had the Joey. I guess I didn't realize I could request the doneness of the burger, so I didn't. Wish they would have asked how I wanted it done. I guess they just cook them medium well if you don't make a request. Too dry for me. My husband liked his just fine. I also ordered the Canadian Poutine. That was a meal within itself! Poutine was decent. As a vegetarian, a place like this wouldn't normally cater to me, but the smell of the french fries drew me in! Ended up going in to check out the menu and grab some carry out. Staff was very nice and helpful when choosing what to get. They have some featured burgers or your can choose to build your own. I opted for the bean burger, it was pretty good. Next time I am going to try a different sauce/topping on it to give it an extra kick. The real winner here are the fries. They smell of them alone will make you give up on whatever diet you are on. This place is surprisingly good. I came here with my friend and his daughter for dinner on Saturday night, and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. The menu has a great selection of burgers to choose from, and the food was plentiful all around. I went with the cowboy burger and we also got fries and onion rings with our dinner. Servings were huge, and we all had a good time. I couldn't finish my dinner but I did love the fries. I love that A) It's a local business, B) they have a great menu and C) you can build you're own burger if you can't find something on the menu that you like, or you're a finicky eater. It's a bit fast casual for me here, which isn't bad, but I've been to swankier places. Overall it's definitely a casual dining experience more then anything else. Plenty of seating for smaller groups (under 5 people) but enough room to move around that you don't feel cramped. read more
