Love this place honestly is kinda expensive but it's pretty good I go there most of the time on my launch break

Driving down the delta, there aren't many choices for lunch. We have been in this area before and nothing has really stood out. We just wanted a quick bite and saw the sign for Burgerlicious. Kind of hokey name but the parking lot was full. There is a walk up window with lots of tables outside. There is also a small dining room inside. I had the jr. Cheeseburger with fries. You have a choice of regular or garlic fries for a buck you can sub sweet potato or onion rings. My husband had the Boss burger..bacon,onion rings and swiss cheese. Everything was delicious, fresh and you could tell the patties were molded by hand. Service was great and it was a bit of a wait for the food...but it was made to order. I'd rather wait for quality food than get bad food quick. It's basic diner food, so yeah nothing gourmet, but I'm having a lazy day on the Delta. Not a date in the city. Give it a try for a decent diner burger and fries. Plus the staff is really polite and looked like they were all in a good mood. Nice small town atmosphere. We will be back Rio Vista. read more

Stopped here on our way to the Jelly Belly Factory. First, you're able to order inside and out. I noticed the one guy taking the orders was mainly taking them at the window outside so, I decided to go outside. I waited about ten minutes to get my order in. As there was a family ordering ice creams and he was tending to the people inside as well. Should've stayed inside. Oh well. It was one guy and he seemed super stressed out anyways. We got our order pretty quick. My wife a grilled cheese with garlic fries and me the bacon burger with regular fries. The burger was huge and very good, I'm sad I ate it so quick. This drive-in style place has THE best burgers in Rio Vista. Their burger on a sourdough roll is our absolute favorite. Fries are crisp and not too salty. We love the food, think the 50's decor with emphasis on cars is fun, but pretty much hate the flies that seem to get in to the small eating area even with fans and air-conditioning. In fact the flies are the main reason we skip this place sometimes and go next door to Tortilla Flats, even when we wanted a burger. How Tortilla Flats avoids all the flies is a mystery because I have never seen a single one there. When we can't fight the great burger craving any longer we brave the flies. PLEASE fix this problem now that the weather is warm again and the flies have woken up. We want to come at least weekly, especially now that it is hot and don't want to heat up our kitchen. Think the two places are owned by the same owner, so maybe if he sees how the flies are bugging people he will take action. read more

They make good shakes there. I am a vegetarian and they do offer a veggie burger, that is if you don't care if it is cooked on the same grill as everything else. Went in this evening with my dad. I am taking away stars for the following reasons: 1. Poor attitude and unprofessional when we walked in - yeah it was a teenage boy working the counter but the lackadaisical attitude was unnecessary. 2. The wait was pretty extensive considering when we arrived it was empty and we ordered a hamburger/fries/tea/strawberry shake. 3. They gave my dad a sprite not a strawberry shake. He had to walk up and have it fixed. And he got a shake within a reasonable time...which makes me think they forgot us to start with. 4. Most importantly - I have a dairy allergy and I specifically ordered a hamburger - they put cheese on my burger and then pulled it off....this is just uncalled for even if I don't have an allergy. You messed it up - recook it! I'm sorry but that is gross...you scrapped off the cheese. I mean why did I bother to go out to eat? Seriously, for you to scrap off the cheese from my burger. I could see the melted cheese in places. Our food had taken so long I said screw it and just pulled off pieces of meat. The burger was dry, fries greasy and attitudes poor. Not a lot of options in Rio Vista but does that really mean the experience should be exceptionally poor? Also, my allergy was definitely triggered. Thanks for making me sick. read more

This burger place is fire! I wasn't able to eat my entire burger because it was soggy, but I think I did a little too much when it came to toppings on my burger... I added grilled onions, pickles, and jalapeños... Probably just too many watery toppings. And the bread couldn't hold it. However, I will 100% be back to this establishment... The taste of the burger was delicious, tasted just like a home-cooked burger which I love. Plus the burger is huge! And you cannot beat the prices. Added some salt to my fries once I got home, and cracked open a nice cold Pepsi can... thanks for a delicious meal! read more

i always drive by this place when im on my way to launch my boat in the delta and i finally stopped by for lunch. the staff is very nice, and the burgers are great. what's even better are the garlic fries. very well done. my only complaint is that there was no line, and my order took over 15 minutes and it was just a burger and fries. we beat the lunch rush and many locals started piling up in line to order. seeing locals is always a good sign that a place isnt all hype, but i cant imagine how long my order would've taken had i ordered after the line started growing. all in all a great burger joint if you got the time to wait. read more

Well, the burgers and fries are just what you would expect from a drive up type roadside burger joint along the highways of Anywhere USA, greasy and filling. Sometimes that's what you are cravi g and this place delivers. Service is always quick and correct. My only complaint is the the soft serve ice cream and shakes are just OK. Millie and I took a pleasant Sunday drive on the Delta Levees and ended up in Rio Vista. A friend of mine had stopped at the Burgerlicious and said it was worth it. And so it was... It is like a burger joint right out of the sixties on the main drive through, Highway 12. The food is large portions and cooked very nicely. French fries, onion rings, Coke and thick burgers. This place diner is what you would expect, it has that good diner food you crave burgers greasy at times, fries nice and not too crisp, we got our burger combos pretty quick, the building and older type diner, but then again isn't all roadside diners like that usually, couldn't say anything bad, except for when it rains, when you walk up your in a large puddle of water! Also if your walking to use the restroom located outside, the entrance to there also is in water ,so if you do not have waterproof boots your shoes will get wet! So be prepared, also be careful and do not try to jump over as you will slip or splash everyone!Good thing I had on boots!!!! This place was awesome! Wet ordered by phone as we just needed a quick pick up and go on the road... They said it would take 7min, which was guy because that's how far away we were at the time I ordered. Our order was ready to go, still warm, the flavor was good... In general when you are in Rio Vista the choices for food are very limited. Burgerlicious is a classic drive-in. The menu is burgers and other drive-in type food. The burgers are pretty good and the fires are good. Best is the Ruben sandwich which is made with homemade corn beef, grilled rye bread, and of course sauerkraut. All order come with fires, or onion rings. The onion rings are the real thing and of a generous proportion. Soft serve ice cream is also served and very good. My wife and I live in Rio Vista and we eat there nearly once a week. read more

My boyfriend and I have gone to Burgerlicious before and the food was just ok. I don't know if the owner has changed in the last six months but the food and the service seemed way worse today. My meal came with a medium drink which was never delivered to me and we never received the two waters we purchased. We asked for our meals to be to go when we ordered but our food came out in restaurant containers. When we asked the them to please put them in to go containers they didn't include any condiments in the bag. Our food was super greasy yet really dry with no flavor. (Not sure how that happens) Even our french fries sucked which I feel like is really hard to do when running a roadside burger joint! I now feel super gross after eating the food and really regret wasting my time and money. We won't be back! read more

First time going here since I heard it was good and it was a disaster. There's no reason why my order should've had to be returned THREE times and they still got it wrong. Ordered two cheeseburgers one was supposed to be cheese, lettuce, and pickle only, the second was mayo, cheese, and onion. The first order one burger had cheese, lettuce, pickle, and onion. One burger had everything it normally comes with. Took it back. Second order had one burger right but the first burger had cheese, lettuce, and tomato. Then took it back again same burger was just cheese and lettuce. Asked for a side of pickles since it was still wrong, there were hairs in the pickles. So gross! It wasn't the lady who was taking our orders fault either we had seen her write everything down right, it's the cook not paying attention. Not coming back here. read more

Terrible service. Run by kids with no care. Ordered a Club sandwich and fries and my husband ordered burger and fries. Soda and a shake. Had to go to counter to ask for drinks, they still weren't mad till order came up, and that was just the burger and fries, then they say no turkey for the club. Took a drive to get out of our stir crazy shelter-in-place protocols in San Francisco and found this terrific spot. Typical old style 50s type diner with outside ordering window and (unfortunately roped off) picnic tables. I'm a burger aficionado and found their patty melt to be the best I've had in a long time. Hot, marbled rye bread and generous sized burger with melted American cheese that wasn't greasy at all and cooked to orderOnion Rings could have been a bit hotter, but were delicious nonetheless . Finished it off with their standard chocolate soft-serve ice cream that was a huge and generous portion topped with fresh nuts. Well, the hamburgers are good and so are the fries, however, all sandwiches includes a ton of fries! Way too much. And you can't buy just a burger, but they do have a 1/4 lb Jr size. Ham & cheese sandwich needs a little more ham, but is good. Now the Ruben......not good at all. The meat was half fat, way too thick, and not very tasty. not enough sauerkraut and dressing.
