I'll be honest in that I did not choose this place. My friend wanted a local dive pub to catch up and chill. Unknowingly, she picked the same night as Trivia Night on a Tuesday. The place was super packed with people and very loud. It was hard to hear each other talk with the Trivia Night and music. Clearly this is a local town favorite!! I was very surprised at how hopping this bar is. Our food was good but they were clearly shorthanded for the amount of people there. So service was very slow and sometimes confusing, but the staff remained very pleasant, friendly and apologetic. There was also a mix up with our bill that was immediately rectified. I really enjoy coming here after my sparring classes with my friends. I don't typically drink, but I really enjoy their food. My go to order Is their country corner burger and onion rings. The owner and their staff are extremely friendly. They also host a bunch of different events throughout the week. The bar is in a great location situated on the corner of 25 a. Overall I highly recommend coming here if you are in the mood for a late dinner or drinks. read more

I was in town for a wedding and we ended up going here for lunch/pre drink. It is basically a converted house on the corner. There is a parking lot a little ways before the main street and it. It is a pretty small place but cozy. The bartender who waited on us was very nice and helpful. We shared some HH apps, Bavarian Pretzel $11.00, Mozzarella Wedges $11.00 and Jalapeno Poppers $11.00. The Pretzel was good but too salty for my liking. The spicy mustard was tasty but their cheese sauce was off. Both the poppers and wedges were both pretty good. The sauce that comes with the poppers was extra tasty. I also got a 12 count of their wings in Buffalo sauce $21.00. These were excellent, nice amount of sauce while still remaining their crispiness. The only real downfall was the noticeable bugs flying around to the left of our table which was pretty off putting. Other than that great service and some solid eats. read more

Use to love this place but clean up the garbage, been almost two weeks and you keep adding to it. I have ordered the same thing 3 times in the last few months, each time my medium burger came out as a rubber biscuit. I lived in the area for 20+ years, this is a place that I always wanted to go but I had young kids and could never fit it into my schedule. Now that my kids are grown and have their own thing, my wife & I are loving all the free Friday nights. Our friends, the husband plays in a band that plays locally. They call us up and say, wanna see Bob play at Country Corner? Sure! We pull up and park in the back. Waking in, it reminds me of the pub in American Werewolf in London. It's filled with locals enjoying beers at the bar and pub food. The beer board was a little confusing, they had numbers matching with descriptions. It was loud in the pub so I tell the bartender, #4! It had a long description but I knew it was Stella. Stella is too weak. I grab my beer and Bob and the band starts rockin'. Great wings. All the appetizers I've had here are very good. They also have a variety of craft beers. It seems like they are constantly rotating the styles & brands of beer. They have a giant chalk board that has a number next to the description for easy ordering. Absolutely love this bar! Great laid back atmosphere, the regulars are always nice and the beer is mostly local. There is live music which is always a cool thing to check out with really unique and local bands. What I love about this place is that it's a nice size place with tables to sit at and large U shape bar that can fit about 15-20 people all the way around. The bartenders are always super nice and down to earth. They offer happy hour and a full variety menu. The food there is really great as well. You can bring the kids in for lunch or go out with the gang for dinner. For nights without live music they have a jukebox that isn't that expensive and 2 TV's by the bar to flick on whatever sports you wanna watch. Great local land mark and I would certainly recommend stopping in for a beer! P.s. This is for Ben- my favorite is definitely the chicken parm sandwich!! read more

I love old bars in old buildings with good food and drink. This place doesn't disappoint! The wings are some of the best around.

A little hidden gem. They have live music probably more than any other local place and the bands tend to be pretty decent. They even have an open mic night which could be terribly embarrassing for my friends and especially for me with my fine, atonal baritone. As far as food, their menu is limited but the grub is fine. They have some fun, unusual beers and the bar tab won't require a second mortgage. All-in-all, this is the place to go if you just want to have a burger and a beer in a lively, fun crowd. The only downside is that it can get pretty crowded and you may have to hover to get a table. I'm an expert hoverer if you need any tips by the way. Anyway, Country Corner is a solid yes from me. read more

Staff is super nice and the wings are bombbb. Get the sweet and spicy darby and the whiskey wings they wont disappoint you. The waitress was extremely polite you definitely feel at home watching sports here, especially Sunday football! A shell of what it used to be. The original owner sold the property during COVID. The new owners have completely gutted the place and its soul is gone. It's now a hipster bar that doesn't cater to real adults. What a crying shame. This place used to be the shining gem of Setauket's social scene. No more. It's such a generic bar now. Awesome dive bar in Setauket, only been here during the day but love the ambience...it's dirty in a good way, the way a bar should be. Good and cold drafts (clean tap) I'm a Stella guy, but there's a lot to choose from here, so knock yourself out. Had the cheeseburger platter, that made sense because sometimes you just need a meaty burger and a really cold brew. Good...what it should be. My only complaint, sat a long time before anyone came to get the order, I'm like, do I go up there? (Yeah I did) but after that everything was cool. Seems like the bartenders get distracted at the bar, and since they double as the wait staff..yeah you guessed it..your waiting! We were looking for a decent place to stop and grab a bite one Saturday evening that wasn't franchised and had good food. It was early enough we would avoid any big bar crowds so we decided to check out Country Corner. We've driven by here so many times over the years, not being huge drinkers we never thought to stop in, didn't know they had such a great menu! Glad I Yelped! We will totally be back. The folks who work here are wonderful, very friendly. The man that made our food- he's a food making genius. My husband and I both ordered burgers, I had the mac and cheese on the side. Soooo GOOD! It's a small place, no wait staff. Easy enough just go to the bar, grab a menu and order. Food came out fast and was really good. When we do drink, we're both beer and tequila people. They have a really decent selection of beer on tap and in the bottle. They keep local brews on tap as well which is awesome. I'm always surprised when local bars don't do that, we have such great breweries here! Needless to say, this place is great. If you're looking for some good food, don't want to pay a ton of money, maybe listen to some music, play some darts, this is a great place to go. It's a very cool old building as well. We've been coming here for years. It is the quintessential neighborhood bar, defined by the incredibly wide range of characters who gravitate to it. The tap selection is all craft (Guinness & Krombacher are the 'always on tap' beers). Fine selection of bourbon, too. The food used to be pretty good; however, the ownership recently changed. Unfortunately, they changed a lot of the personnel, including the cooks and they revamped the menu which, I hope, they are tinkering with. Stay away from the 'egg rolls'! $13 bucks and not worth $2. The salads used to be 'enthusiastic' as my wife called them. Now they are simply meh. The new bartenders are decent (Amy is great) but much of the behind the bar character is missing. Beer prices were jacked up, too. $8 for a pint of Guinness? EIGHT dollars! We still attend to see the crowd but much, much less frequently (even if it was post-Covid we'd be here a lot less than before). Yes, it's a business but it certainly feels like it now. read more
