What a great find on Long Island, I enjoyed numerous items on the menu especially the chicken sandwic, the chicken was so succulent and breaded to perfection. Listen up. I LOVE oil and grease (not being sarcastic) so that is why I give LI wings and things a 5 star review. If you do not tolerate these things well, this is not the place for you. Most of the time there is a little pool of oil with my fries and sometimes with my chicken tenders too. Enough that I can swirl the food around to sop up some of the goodness. I usually order the tenders from here even though the wings come first before the things. The tenders are like how my mother used to make them when I was a child (bread crumbed) and not a lot of places that do chicken tenders make them the way LI wings and things does. The service is great because when you call for take out they text your phone when it's bagged and ready at the counter and it's almost always ready earlier than they say. I usually get the tenders and go down the street for nacho cheese from Taco Bell for a dipping sauce. Truly one of the best eats I have throughout the week. And the food comes out to under 10 dollars which you can't beat in 2023. You walk into the restaurant and it's about 10 feet from the door to the counter and 20 feet across with some tables and a drink cooler at the side of of the register. Super nice employees. As advertised, great wings and many other things. In a lot of other places, variety on the menu often means a lack of quality, but this place is different. It's not just the wings and the chicken sandwiches that are great, but the pierogies, burgers, wraps and salads are all the same quality. The ribs and pulled pork are especially good, better than any BBQ place I know of on Long Island. I only give it a 4 out of 5 (I'd give a 9/10) because they're only human and occasionally mistakes to happen, but food quality is always a 5/5. I normally have a good experience here but after today, I had to leave a review after they forgot one of the items in my delivery order. I called the restaurant to attempt to have them correct my order and not only did they forget one of my items they also forgot to give me ranch instead they gave me blue cheese. I will never go to this restaurant again. This was my first, and last time, due to the unprofessional, rude, and unkind staff. I placed an order on Door Dash and called the restaurant asking how I can receive all flats. I was told I had to cancel my order and do orders of 10 wings. The young lady behind the counter asked me "Breaded or not Breaded?" I stood slack jawed as if she had asked me explain the theory of relativity in flawless Yiddish. I finally muttered a confused "huh". She asked me again unfortunately using the same words and inflection so my confusion did not abate, and i would speculate that I continued to look just as dumbfounded. Sensing that no answer was forthcoming she then went on to explain that due to the number of people with gluten allergies they had recently added unbreaded chicken wings to the menu options. The fog clearing now, I mumbled acknowledgement and when she asked me if I had been here before I immediately snapped out of it. How could she not know of my eliteness?? So when I told her yes, she suggested that what I was used to was the breaded wings. I agreed. That moment of discomfort behind us, I went on to place the rest of the order. In the end the meal was as good as ever and LI Wings n Things remains my favorite local wing joint. Oh and BTW in case you missed it. This place is relatively new, opened in July, and already seems to be doing quite well. Located in a brand new shopping center, this is a healthy infusion into an otherwise dead town. Anyway, this place is top notch in my book. It's a basic take-out place featuring wings, pulled pork, burgers, fries...yada yada yada. But the difference is the quality. This stuff isn't the average soggy crap you get in a franchise, it's actually quite good. The wings were crispy as were the seasoned fries. (Try the garlic parmesan wings...they are the cat's meow). I got the "Pulled Pork Sandwich on Oversized Bun" with fries. They definitely give you your money's worth. Generally, to me, fries are just there for decoration or filler food. But these were actually really tasty and I almost felt bad for putting ketchup on them. Interior is nice and clean looking. Sports memorabilia galore - the owner is obviously a Yankee fan. Speaking of the owner, he is a nice chap named Joe that is more than happy to make sure you have a great meal and get great/fast service. When I was there, there was a lot of people coming in for take-out. I guess they are taking advantage of the football specials going on.
