Unfortunately, something seems to have changed over the last six months to a year. The portions have gradually gotten smaller, and the sauces taste noticeably different. When we asked about it once, we were told it depends on who's cooking that day, which is understandable, but the inconsistency became hard to ignore. The smaller portions, however, have been quite consistent. Toward the end of our visits there, it felt like we were getting mostly sauce with very little meat, which is disappointing for a place we used to rave about. We're now on the search for a new Indian restaurant to take the spot of what was once one of our absolute favorites.

The thing that rubbed me wrong the most was the waitress only wanted to bring one togo container for all 4 four plates of food . Like we were just going to slap it all together like pig slop. We had to specifically ask for four seperate containers. They also brought one foil wrap for the leftover Naan for two couples . So we mixed ours with our daughter and her boyfriend . Needless to say we didn't get any of it . I'd go back, but they surly need to train the waitress better. Maybe, it's a tradition in India to not have ice with a water, but is a little off-putting especially when the drink menu is so limited . It's a small place only for accommodating small parties. The chicken tikka masala was creamy and flavorful and paired well either the warm buttery naan. The spice level wasn't as hot as I thought, so I'll get hot level next time. The prices are comparable with local Indian restaurants. Since Palate is located in a shopping center, parking can be limited, however there are plenty of places to park. The restaurant is locally owned and run by the sweetest family, and you can really feel that care in both the service and the food. The space is small, clean, and welcoming, located right off 114 near the IHOP/Wingstop area. Despite the ongoing construction on 114 (which has been a mess), they've stayed incredibly consistent. The food is always good--like, reliably good--and I honestly have zero complaints. I always order the paneer tikka masala, and it is so, so good every single time. My husband and my boys are obsessed with the chicken biryani and swear it hits every time they order it.
