    Lunch Combo

Without a doubt - this Indian can confirm - An authentic, delicious and home-cooked experience that was much needed in North Fort Worth! First - service was impeccable. A nice young lady too my order, explained the daily specials, and was attentive when I needed my table bussed or water. Second - the FOOD. I opted for the combo which had Butter chicken, chicken biriyani, a chicken appetizer, naan, and gulab jamun for dessert. INCREDIBLE VALUE for $14!! First, the butter chicken was on point. Not overly creamy, had a nice tomato flavor, chicken was tender. I asked to customize the biryiani to have some extra spice/heat and they did a phenomenal job. The naan was crisp, not too fluffy, not dry. And the appetizer was a chicken mix with masala similar flavored to a chili chicken, and it was SOOO good. Gulab jamun was good too. Highly recommended

Unfortunately, something seems to have changed over the last six months to a year. The portions have gradually gotten smaller, and the sauces taste noticeably different. When we asked about it once, we were told it depends on who's cooking that day, which is understandable, but the inconsistency became hard to ignore. The smaller portions, however, have been quite consistent. Toward the end of our visits there, it felt like we were getting mostly sauce with very little meat, which is disappointing for a place we used to rave about. We're now on the search for a new Indian restaurant to take the spot of what was once one of our absolute favorites.

We've eaten here 3x now, and it's always great tasting food. But the service was really slow, while only just two tables had diners. ( us and another couple) then a few to go orders while we waited . Yes, it's Christmas Day holiday so I can be forgiving with being slow. I get that, but ... The thing that rubbed me wrong the most was the waitress only wanted to bring one togo container for all 4 four plates of food . Like we were just going to slap it all together like pig slop. We had to specifically ask for four seperate containers. They also brought one foil wrap for the leftover Naan for two couples . So we mixed ours with our daughter and her boyfriend . Needless to say we didn't get any of it . I'd go back, but they surly need to train the waitress better. Maybe, it's a tradition in India to not have ice with a water, but is a little off-putting especially when the drink menu is so limited . It's a small place only for accommodating small parties. The dine in experience leaves a lot to be desired.

Chili chicken, my absolute favorite was tasty and the "fish" sticks are a must try. I often think about a friend from years gone by who 1st introduced me to Indian food when I was a mere 19 yrs old. I ordered a house salad and an additional appetizer with a cottage cheese based dessert. I assumed this would be a quick order as I needed to my next work assignment. 5 minutes till 6 pm I advised my client that I was grabbing food and would be a little late. 42 minutes later after sharing my concern my food appeared. Right before then she came to process my payment after so said I would just pay for my beverage as I no longer wanted the food. I also had to tell her they let me sit over 30 minutes without even checking to see if I needed water when the pitcher was walked around the room. The customer service team member initially advised there was no manager available. When I got ready to leave she sent a friend that looked like she was just clocking in. She also confirmed she was not the manager when I asked directly.

It's inviting and appeared very clean. The aromas were great and made me even a little bit more hungry. You order at the counter and then they bring the food out to your table. Now their menu is large and for a guy like me that doesn't eat Indian food much, it took me some extra time to digest it. So many choices. Luckily my wife was along and has more experience. The employees were so friendly and helpful. I'm not a big hot/spicy fan so they comforted me and said all the food could be made more in a mild flavor. We chose the garlic Naan bread and tomato Shorba for appetizers. The soup was extremely hot so we had to let it cool but the first taste was spectacular! I loved it. Not too spicy and had a little creamy texture that was very tasty. The Naan bread was a HUGE plate and we ended up taking 1/2 of it home. It was hot, fresh and really good flavors! Some of the best I've experienced. For our entrees I had the Indo Chinese Hakka with chicken and it was AMAZING! I loved every bite. The noodles are thin and the spices were perfect. They give very healthy portions here too. My wife had the Tikka Masala and she loved hers. The rice was cooked perfectly and the sauce/chicken was so good. I took several bites. Once again a large portion and she took 1/2 home. I wanted to try the desserts but I just couldn't since I was so full. For a non-Indian eater this will be on my list to visit again and try another dish!

The restaurant is locally owned and run by the sweetest family, and you can really feel that care in both the service and the food. The food is always good--like, reliably good--and I honestly have zero complaints. I always order the paneer tikka masala, and it is so, so good every single time. My husband and my boys are obsessed with the chicken biryani and swear it hits every time they order it. If you're looking for a great, family-run Indian restaurant with consistently amazing food, this is absolutely one you should try--and keep coming back to.

Overall, it's a mixed bag...some items are really solid, others miss the mark. This time I ordered everything to-go. The chicken sekuwa was excellent, well-marinated, flavorful, and packed nicely. No complaints there at all. I also got three chicken momo (two with regular achar and one jhol). The momos themselves were good, nothing extraordinary, but definitely satisfying. Unfortunately, the jhol achar completely ruined the experience. Before tasting it, I poured it over the momo, and that was a mistake. It smelled off right away and tasted even worse, like it had been sitting too long or improperly stored. I genuinely felt sick and couldn't finish my food. I did call and spoke to the manager, who apologized and offered a replacement, which I appreciated. But it was late, and I wasn't about to drive back, so I just let them know about the issue. It was really disappointing, especially when you're counting on a good meal late at night. They seriously need to be more careful about the quality and freshness of their achar in takeout orders, it can make or break the entire meal.
