Nice compound. The environment is nice. However the restaurant side has some work to do on the salads IMHO. My food was crude leafy greens and I'm sure they are nutritious. However it was like almost chewing stems & shoe leather. And my spring peas were hard and my dressing so tart my face puckered, so I know there is just not enough care given to the textures & taste. This review could, in fact be construed as an indictment on the culinary quality of the local produce used, but it's sadly the truth. I chewed it like a cow with cud anyway. Because nutrients. But I did not enjoy it much.

I came after church on a Sunday around 1:00pm. They offer an all day brunch menu on the weekend. We ordered at the bar and sat upstairs with our large party. Upstairs had self serve water, utensils and paper towels. I was very happy with my brunch burger which was a true smash burger! The fries were good and a big hit with the children, since it was a large portion I was able to share. I tried a couple beers and settle on the Imperial Coffee Stout-Grizzled. It was so smooth and delicious! I can't wait to come back and try more items!

We visited Burial with a few friends to enjoy some drinks, try some of the food, and play a few card games. To start, the atmosphere is fun and welcoming. Since it was a beautiful day, there were lots of people sitting on the outdoor patio area and downstairs. We ordered downstairs and grabbed a table upstairs to have more space. On a Thursday, there were maybe 2 or 3 other groups who came upstairs while we were there. We had such a good time we were there almost 4 hours! They were having a well drink special on Thursday, so I ordered a rum cocktail for $6, which really wasn't a bad price at all! Everyone else ordered other cocktails and beers and were happy with their drinks. I ordered a tofu po boy and the crispy potatoes. Those crispy potatoes were amazing! They were hearty and delicious, especially with the sauce on top. I was happy they had multiple vegetarian options (a bowl option and another sandwich), and I was very happy with the tofu po boy, which I would get again for sure! Overall, we had a great time! Definitely recommend!

Love this location of Burial. I wasn't the biggest fan of the South Slope location because of the limited beer and food selection but the Forestry Camp location is excellent. It's a gorgeous building, tons of space inside and outside, great selection of drinks including cocktails and wine, and great food. Line can get long during peak times but it's a great spot, hence it gets busy.

Best beer, best food, best ambiance, best people - highly recommend stopping in here or their other location.

Nice place, crowded and no parking. Had to use my Handicap card. Until There Is No Longer IPA for the squeeze and I had the Surfwax and Profound Discoveries IPAs. Driving through, couldn't have a BBA stout, but too many are sours anyway. Smashburger was good. Decent place and beer, $4 for a sticker is BS.

Everything was delicious! I tried the wine-Sauvignon blanc and rose- both delicious! My friend got the stouts, which I tried and also loved. The flavors were so complex but smooth. The vibe is very cool- lots of wood, great outdoor seating. Everyone at the bar was super nice and friendly, and even with a long line, they got to everyone pretty quickly! It's definitely a popular spot for a reason.

Are we out of the woods yet because take me back to Burial Beer Forestry Camp! There were so many breweries in Asheville, but Burial Beer is the perfect spot to grab not only a beer but a tasty bite to eat while you're at it. We had the pup so we were worried about not being able to dine in but they do have a covered outdoor area which was perfect. The menu is more limited outside but it was suited our tastebuds just fine. There were some boozy slushies available and I don't even care what flavors they are I will almost always order any boozy slushy. And to be honest, Burial Beer's boozy frozen cocktails have ruined all other frozen cocktails for me, period. Not only were they gorgeous to the eye and camera, but they were deliciously frozen and, of course, boozy. If the Iceberg or the House Frose is ever on the menu again, 100% recommend them. We paired our cocktails splitting an Italian Sausage with Garlic Potatoes, which really hit the spot after all the alcohol we'd consumed that day. I can't wait to come back one day and try their full menu, maybe sans dog so we can have the full Burial Beer Forestry Camp experience!

We visited Forestry Camp on the recommendation of a friend that lives locally, and also because we already know we love Burial Beer. We've spent a lot of time in Asheville and visited most of the breweries and Burial is one of the best in our opinion. We started off sharing Aguachile so we would have something on our stomachs as we enjoyed our beers. We also shared the Smashburger and it did not disappoint. Terrific spot with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Service was great and everything is super clean and well-maintained.

Super cool location of Burial beer. I have been to the original location in downtown Asheville as well as the one in Charlotte. This one had a super cool vibe and the building was so amazing. Two story with beautiful wooden decor. Burial is my favorite brewery in Asheville. Their beers are fantastic. I have no idea how they get so much flavor in their beer. They also serve food here, I had a delicious burger and fries. They have tasty stouts with layers of flavor. Open Saturday 11AM-10PM, Sunday 11AM- 10PM, Tuesday-Thursday 4-10PM, Friday 12-10PM and closed Monday.

Beautiful space with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They two covered areas with picnic tables and pretty hanging lights and one uncovered patio area - all perfect for your pets! Water is self-serve inside, and you order at the counter. One con would have to be that they only have one line to order food and beer - so it can get pretty long. Would be nice if the counter had a beer/drinks only type of line for people who don't want to order food. Garlic herb fries ($6): the herbs were rosemary that were fries with the fries it seems because they were crispy, fragrant and really good. The fries was the perfect way to solve the beer munchies. Steak ($22): 5 oz apple brandy NY strip, Japanese sweet potato wedges, wilted spinach, miso and marrow butter. They don't ask how you want your steak, ours was medium well. And we wanted to switch the sides it came with for the garlic herb fries but they couldn't so we ended up having to order them separately. The sweet potato wedges were crispy and I think the real surprise was how good the wilted spinach was lol. Couldn't take the miso as much in the butter, but it was creamy and rich. Feel the Rhythm cocktail ($13): rye, rum, tamarind, turmeric, mango, banana, lime, ango, cardamom, aqua faba VISUALS Flight ($16 for 4): unfortunately, my least favorite of what we got and didn't actually finish any of the flight. I think for us, all the wines tasted more like beer sours than wine? Overall, great place to hang out with a group!

A unique spot to grab some good food, cold brews, and enjoy the eclectic building or mountain and city views from the rooftop patio. The chicken sandwich was massive, and the fries were my favorite. The cider was great and the building had the coolest moody decor. Can't wait to bring more friends.

Heavy metal brewery. They know what they are and deliver on that theme. Traditional beers are ok but their barrel aged stouts are outstanding. Super friendly and knowledgeable service.

Once they opened we went right for the bar to order as it was getting busy with people already on a Tuesday morning! I ordered a flight and my boyfriend had a beer. The server was a little cold. Not necessarily unfriendly just a little curt which was fine maybe she was having a bad day. But I got a pre selected flight and she had me take a picture of the flight list so I knew which beer was which. Idk a lot of other breweries would have wrote it down but a picture works too. We sat outside on their covered patio and watched the river. It started to get really nice out so after that we sat at their turf area and chilled until we were done. We spent a good hour here and just really liked the vibe outside . People had their dogs so we were so watching and in generally very friendly . I took a picture beneath the sign with the bicycles. You can see that on a weekend this place would get crazy busy so it was nice for us to just relax and take in the atmosphere without it getting so crowded. Anyone who is in Asheville should check this place out.

In terms of food, I ordered a mediterranean bowl and was pretty happy with it. Reasonably well presented. Some evidence of investing effort in creating an individualized concept. The ingredients were also very fresh. The toppings also fell within a reasonable balance. It wasn't overwhelming. It wasn't the best salad of this type that I've had, but it made for something crisp and fresh to pair with a pint. All that having been said, my suggestion would be to go for the beer. It's quite possible if I'd have visited during the day that my review would've been 5 stars. However, we came at night (well... winter night it was like 6pm?). It was dark. First, the parking lot. It looked like a scene from a horror movie where everyone gets killed. There was no actual parking lot, just some grass along the road where people were parked. There was a chainlink fence gate that was barely open, with an overgrown sign, and it looked like you were walking into a haunted factory. We walked in the brewery and it was only light by faint lights and candles. We jokingly started calling it the MURDER BREWERY in a spooky voice. I see the beautiful plants in the pictures in reviews here and we saw none of that. I have less-than-stellar night vision and actually held onto my wife's shoulders for her to lead me around. They also have a lot of tables without chairs. Maybe that's trendy, but really I want to sit and chat while I try your beer. I don't want to have to stand around. It cleared out before we left and we got a seat eventually, but the table/chair ratio was way out of whack. All this time and I haven't spoken about the beer yet. It was pretty good.
