This is worst Burlington Coat Factory I've been to. I witnessed the "security guard" be so rude to another customer. She was accidentally trying clothes in the kids section and he yelled at her and was so rude to the poor lady. He clearly doesn't know anything about professionalism or manners. I must preface this review with the fact that this is the first time I have ever set foot in a Burlington Coat Factory. Let me say, I was impressed! :) I came in looking for some baby stuff for my nephew. Found a great Nike basketball outfit and a Nike baseball onesie for pretty decent prices! (The onesie was $2.99.) Nothing too great in the toy area and they didn't have any foam floor mats which was something I was looking for specifically. But nice selection of baby items, very organized, and I like their home dept also. Much better than Ross I think...Overall, a good experience and I will come back again. :) read more

SOOOOO much selection at this location! Burlington is one of my favorite stores. They have great new things and even their clearance rack rocks. You have to know going into it that you will need to dig through all the racks, so come when you have an hour to spend. Lines are long at check out by they had 7 checkers, so that is a plus! One of my favorite places to shop since its opening! Great men's outerwear and button up selection, in the T-shirt and pants department it does OK. Went in looking for a specific color/size/fit for a dress shirt and the customer service employee exhausted all options trying to find it. Looking it up online, checking through all the floor items, and double checked just to be sure. Didn't find the item, but was impressed with how helpful they were in helping me instead of just saying "what's on the floor is all we have" like other places I've been to. Whenever I'm on a mini shopping spree I make sure to stop by to find those hidden jems in the pile of clothing they have. Great store. read more

Customer service sucks! Went in with my two daughters, on our way out the smallest one got hit by the door on the foot and got scraped not one single employee went over to ask if she was ok even though she was screaming in pain. Went over to customer service to ask for a first aid kit since she was bleeding and the girl here was so rude walked over to another counter to grab the kit slower than a turtle. So I thought it was going to be a simple purchase. Stood in line, swiped my card and then hell freezes over. Their computer crashes after the transaction goes through (prints receipt) and they want me to swipe my card again. First, when things like this happen --- apologize to the customer. I swipe my card, but I tell the cashier please have a manager put down in writing that if I am charged twice, that I will be refunded. So the cashier calls the floor supervisor (who is completely useless and spends all her time flirting with the overweight security guard on the numerous occasions that I have been to this location) and she says it's "impossible" that I will be charged twice. All I asked was can I get it in writing because I don't want to have to explain this to someone if I am charged twice. She calls the head manager GINA, who instead of putting it in writing, tells me the exact same thing -- umm, hello? I don't need to hear the same thing three times, I just want it in writing. After much ado, she finally writes on the back of the receipt that the transaction crashed midway. Great, that does not explain my problem whatsoever. She said if I was charged twice, to bring in my credit card statement, but its "impossible." While I was leaving, GINA turned around and glared at me and started shaking her head. Now, I am pissed. I log-on to my credit card website through my phone and low and behold the "impossible" happens, I have two "pending" charges for the same exact amount at 4 minutes apart. I walk back into the store and now GINA won't even come out to talk to me --- what kind of manager avoids customers? The useless one at BCF. Where was the floor supervisor? Again, avoiding me. I show my phone to the cashier who clearly sees that I have been charged twice for the same item and she communicates to GINA through her walkie talkie. GINA instructs her to not issue me a refund for the first charge. Then I said, refund the item, GINA instructed the cashier to not issue me a refund on the item I just purchased. What? I just bought this 5 minutes ago and now I can't get a refund on it and I have to wait for 3-4 days and come back to refund it. What a joke! I was like look "if you went to a store and bought something, stepped outside and then wanted to refund it would some store force you to wait 72 hours before you could?" It took 3 of minutes of explaining simple logic to the cashier when she herself finally refunded the item (no way they are going to make a dime off me now). But that's not all folks. In order to get refunded on my first transaction where I was double charged, I still have to wait 72 hours and bring in a copy of my credit card statement. Lastly, I ask for BCF's corporate number. The cashier tells me that she cannot give it to me and only the Manager can give it to me. She asks GINA permission to give it to me. Not surprisingly, I am turned down. Of course, she wants to cover her own job -- don't worry GINA it's not too hard to find. There were so many things that went wrong with the transaction that I will never be buying anything from here. A few recommendations to BCF corporate: (1) fire GINA and hire a more competent manager; (2) watch video of your floor supervisor not helping customers, but flirting with the security guard; (3) give customers the benefit of the doubt, especially when the STORE is at fault; (4) be apologetic, especially when the STORE is at fault; and (5) instruct your employees to grant simple customer requests -- all I asked for was a manager to put what happened in writing in case I was charged twice. Funny, how GINA told me it was "impossible" for me to be charged twice, but when I showed store employees two "pending" charges, GINA refused to come out and make it right. Eww. Nasty store. I know it's a bargain shop but there is no organization whatsoever. The store was poorly designed in that the lines back up into the shoe aisles. If you want to find shoes (which is why we were there) and it's crowded, forget about it. I would never come back to this location. Go to the one at Bella Terra or on Bristol in Santa Ana instead. I must say Found nice clothes for a bargain once again, found a jacket retails for 300$ got it for 100$ found new apparel for girls and YES women for half price including dresses, blouses, jeans, skirts etc. Like most places you must shop around I did manage to find few old items that are discontinued or obsolete and clothes not in style but I found what I wanted. I don't know why some people complain about things like not enough clothes (first come first serve). Even if their machine broke when a customer used their credit card, its a man made product nothing is perfect. enough said I must say customer service is exceptional, they were nice and payed attention. Burlington is one of my favorite stores. I go to this location often. I don't always find what I am looking for, however I still like to browse around. When I do find something I like I look forward to getting Amy as my cashier. She is always polite and gives me a sincere greeting. Her smile is genuine she doesn't look like she is annoyed to be there or annoyed to be helping customers out. She also makes conversation with me...(with other shoppers too, I've noticed when I am in line). I've only been here once, but my first experience was pleasant! This store is MUCH nicer than Mervyn's ever was. It is also nicer than the nearby Ross. Burlington is organized, clean, and smells nice. Weird to say that a store "smells nice" but some of these "discount" stores smell bad inside. Anyway, I bought a nice blouse for $14.00 and a men's shaving bag (Perry Ellis) for $12.99. Check-out was not a problem for me and I was there on a Sunday. I hope they continue to keep the store clean and organized...if they do, I will continue to shop there. read more

Lines moved fast. Cashier was friendly. Found sizes easily. But kids were playing on the escalators both up and down almost tripping us. The woman's restroom was DISGUSTING smelled like a dead animal in there 4 out of 6 toilet plugged up no seat cover or paper towels. Very nasty. read more

Last night I was in need of finding a replacement coat prior to flying and going out of town. This was the first place I went to as I recall having amazing experiences in other BCF long ago in other cities. After all they are supposed to have coats and jackets right? So I went to the closest one to me although I've never shopped there. First impression while walking in should have been my first clue. However hopeful, I circled this disorganized store 2x before I saw any coats. What a disappointment. This section was so small, so very poorly stocked and price tags were missing from what little stock was available. Really folks? For a big chain like this to call themselves a coat factory and then only have 4 small racks upstairs is unacceptable. I'll never go back to this one, but am hopeful that another store in SoCal is better stocked and shopper friendly. read more

DON'T EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE...... I bought a pair of shoes from here and at the time of purchase the tag was inside the shoe not attached to the shoes. So I tried to walk with this shoes at himeand they were to big even though they were the size that I normally buy. I went back to the store and explain the cashier and she said they can only give me a store credit because the tag is not attached and I told her it wasn't attached when I bought the shoes. She called the manager named KARINA and I told her to find me a smaller size for the same shoes but after calling couple stores she couldn't so I asked her to do a courtesy return for me just for one time and she refused to. Overall she was very unprofessional and a BITCH....... never coming back here again. Buyer beware of returns! I purchased 2 coats as gifts for family members, they did not fit so I went to return them a few days later. I walked in and went straight to customer service line just to be told that I have to go wait in line with the regular customers waiting to purchase. Ok, I did as I was told (what's the purpose of having a return customer service section if you are going to send them to cashiers). I go to the cashier named NORMA and tell her nicely that I would like to return the coats. She looked at me and said why? I told her they were gifts that didn't fit. She inspects the coats for any rips or stains which is fine, but then she looks at the tags and asks me if I re-tagged them. I said no, I wouldn't even know how (I don't work in retail). She said "we don't tag them like this". There was a white tag and a black tag attached together. I told her that's the way I purchased them, she looked at me as if I was lying to her so I told her again "that's the way I purchased them". She noticed the change of tone in my voice so she shut her mouth and gave me back my money with attitude. I was upset that she would even say that they don't tag their clothing in that order so I walked the store and found 5 different clothing articles that were tagged the way she claimed that "they don't tag". I was going to go throw them in her face but I collected myself and decided to just write this review instead. Never shopping here again just to be called a liar by their employees! read more
